On top of that, there are no spectators allowed in the pool area unless you are wear a swim suit and pay the $4 admission fee (even though there is plenty of space and tables, chairs and benches to sit at.) I was visiting area with my son, who is a competitive swimmer and needed to get in some training. Will look for other options in the future.

My daughter and I spent awhile upstairs in the kid's area. They have some cute plastic food toys with a kitchen attached to the wall. Even though she's older that kept her entertained for quite some time. The staff were very nice and had fun chatting with her. The pickup area for books was very organized. Their bathrooms were also clean. My ONLY complaint was parking. We got there very early and parked on the East side of the building no problem. Later when we had to go get lunch their parking lot was full. We found they had additional parking on the West side but they were also full and the streets were packed. I know it was a Saturday, but I can imagine it being very frustrating to park. When we were leaving there was someone doing illegal substances in their van next to our car which was concerning to say the least and no I'm not talking about the devil's lettuce I'm talking about harder stuff. That isn't really the library's fault, but be aware of what's going on. I prefer Millard over A.V. Sorenson but it's not terrible.

We decided it would be fun to grab some pool noodles just to get a kick out of it. We were holding the noodles in the pool when a lifeguard came up to us and said "noodles aren't allowed in the pool". That made no sense to us because they literally have a shelf full of noodles and floaties out in the open for people to use. So we reluctantly gave them to her. So apparently you can't have rafts or noodles in the pool.

Surprisingly it was somewhat busy with walkers and bikers and runners. The trail is beautiful and a mix of forest and lake as well as some surprisingly tough inclines! I noticed there were several different parking lots and at least one area to put boats in. There were plenty of restrooms along the trail which I thought was helpful too. The trails were clean as well besides a few spots of feces. My only complaint is the complete arrogance of a few cyclists, particularly of the older generation. They had zero regard for others and expected the pathway to be completely available for them despite being wide enough to accommodate opposite direction traffic.

I was on this side of town picking something up and had a little time to spare so I decided to pop…read moreover to the lake and see what the trail was all about. I spent about 10 minutes walking in one direction and then had to turn around to make my appointment but in that 20 minutes, I fell in love with this place. The trail itself is really lovely. You can tell that it is very well maintained and not overgrown next to the path. The small bridges for pedestrians to walk over along the path are a nice touch as well. So much of the trail is shaded and this was a particularly cool day which made me excited to come back in the fall and see the leaves change. I saw two deer while I was there both somewhat close to the path and completely visible, and I passed a handful of other people, enjoying the trail that day, including a handful of leashed dogs which are allowed on the trail. The trail is six or 7 miles long so definitely plan for a long day if you plan to do the whole Lake, but there are two loops that you can do in a shorter amount of time or you can do what I did and park at one of the parking lots do a small walk and then turn around and go back.
