Overall, Aspen Park is the easiest disc golf course in Omaha. It's flat with wide open drives on every hole. There are a few trees around some baskets that require skill shots, but such shots can easily be avoided most of the time. Pros: A fun course for a quick round when you want to avoid the crowds at nearby Seymour. Also a great place to practice some distance drives for more skilled players (especially hole 7, which is a whopping 600+ feet). Likewise it's a great course for beginners, as there is nothing intimidating about the course and it's pretty much impossible to lose a disc. Cons: Like I mentioned before, there's not much challenge to Aspen Park. Every hole is literally straight forward. Also, it sits on a flood plain for the Big Papio Creek, so expect it to be a bit marshy for a couple days after it rains.

Winding through the middle of the Iowa Western Community College campus, Treasure Cove is a…read morechallenging, beautiful course that's always in tip-top shape. Plus it's only about a 10 minute drive from downtown Omaha. There's plenty for everyone here: multiple tees for multiple skill levels, a few mando shots for those up for the challenge and holes that range from wide open spaces to secluded hideaways in the woods. There's a creek that winds through much of the course that's taken advantage of as well -- you have to love their signature hole with the basket that hangs from a pedestrian bridge just above the water (hole 13 I think?). Plus, you'll likely see a little wildlife when you're here, including adorable little baby deer. The only con I can think of is that you often run into the occasional jock or 40 as they prep to fulfill their juco dreams. Best to go during school breaks.

Outdated signage (hole 10) and rubber mats. If they would just pour some concrete (money$$) for the pads it would be fine. Leave the rubber for an Ace Race of the like, but make the rest perpetual. Many of the holes have you hiking up and down hills that can seriously get pretty steep -- all enshrouded in the woodland of Hummel Park. I've had a few moments here when I felt like I was in one of J.R.R. Tolkien's imaginary worlds, as the surroundings are about as serene as they get in eastern Nebraska. I know Hummel Park has a sinister reputation, but it's undeserved. This place is seriously amazing and the disc golf course is rarely crowded. Plus you'll definitely get a nice workout in if you finish the entire course, Satanic penguins (or whatever) be damned.

This park is full of a huge variety of mature trees, which makes for good birdwatching and bug watching, slime mold watching, etc. There is also a playground here, a pavilion, a dog park, a frisbee golf course, and a lagoon. I think the children's pool and tennis center are still here as well, on the south edge of the park. There is a big greenhouse here for growing plants for the city parks but unfortunately it was severely damaged during an intense hail storm this summer. The park is fairly clean though some trash was piled up next to the trash cans since obviously they had not been emptied. Other than that, I don't have any complaints. A lot of Canada geese are sometimes by the lagoon, so if you're afraid of them, don't go over there. No worries! They are little hissing dinosaurs.

I came on a warm October afternoon to check out the nine-hole disc golf course. My first impression was a good one. This course is well maintained: manicured fairways, clean baskets and concrete tee pads. While none of the holes were much more than 300 feet from tee to pin, there were plenty of trees and shrubs to add a bit of challenge to your throws. The first four holes are just north of the parking lot as your drive in. The back five are tucked behind the monument, and offer a more secluded environment, complete with sweeping valley views in between some seriously tough shots -- especially hole seven, a real beast of a hole. As is the case with a lot of local courses, I spent much of my first round attempting to find the tee pads, a few of which aren't marked properly. This is easily fixed, however, so hopefully the local disc golf club has something in the works.

The park was fully booked as it was Father's Day weekend, but it never felt crowded. I really enjoyed painting ceramics by the lake when it started raining and hiking the various trails. The cabin was clean and simple. I am rating four stars instead of five because there were a few things that could be easily improved. It was very hard to figure out what amenities were available in the cabin theough the web site, which made it kind of difficult to know what to bring with regards to cooking supplies and linens. I appreciated the cooking utensils, but I would have liked some form of skillet or griddle. We made do, but it was kind of oddfeying eggs in a pot. I was able to navigate the park without much trouble, but some of my family had a hard time finding the cabin, so maybe the signage could be more clear.

I wish I came here more in more youth, as it is so beautiful and had a lot to do. It is not a traditional trail park, but there are a lot of stairs to climbs, trails to stroll and picnic sites to eat. There is a park at the top of one peak that is great for kids and adults alike. If you're looking to get out of the house during a quarantine, check this park out. Trail heads are found all over and there is enough to do at a social distance. I had a great time the last time I came with my family.

The 119 acre park has RV and tent camping plus an events lodge and shelter. Located in Pottawattamie County on a bend in the West Nishnabotna River, other activities include canoeing, disc golf, a playground, and hiking. We were there in March, so the trees were bare, making it somewhat stark. I'm looking forward to visiting again when the trees are in full leaf.

Manicured nicely, flat, near a river, and a lot of wildlife. They also have some bison and elk in large fenced-in areas in the middle of the RV park, which is really cool. The Halloween celebration they had was great. A Chili supper, hayrack ride, and trick 'r' treating. Everyone was super nice as well. They gave out a ton of candy! I was surprised! We are definitely going back next year. The drive out is nice and the park itself is really cool.
