The only time i can hear other tenants is if I'm in the hallway on my way up the stairs to get to my unit and they also happen to be speaking near the door. It would be at least four stars if it wasn't for the lack of action on a severe case of barking dogs. I really like my apartment here compared to anything I've lived in before. The price I pay is really good compared to Grand Haven, Holland, and Grand Rapids. The appliances are standard, nothing new, but all do the job. The apartment is spacious and the complex is nice. I've had maintenance done once and it was quick and the person was nice. I do think the people in the leasing office want to help you, especially Issac. The complex is very pet friendly so there are a lot of dogs and my experience with most of them has been good. That's where it leads to the bad. About 3 months ago, neighbors moved in above me with two medium size dogs that bark and howl all the time. I waited about a month before going to the leasing office to give them time to settle in and see if anything improved. After that time I went to the office and reported the barking and sent them clips of the dogs barking over the last month. Every few days to a week over the last 1.5-2 months I have been in the office updating them on the ever worsening situation. It literally sounds like I am living below a kennel from 6:30am-5:30pm every day Monday-Sunday. Over the time reporting the incidents, they have been emailed, called, and been shown the audio and the dog owners have done nothing to improve the situation. I am currently on hour 12 of listening to them back on my day off. Here's the problem, Isaac in the office has been helpful the whole time but the process he has to follow is so slow neighbors have been living next to a kennel for months. I do recommend living here you will just have to take the risk of this happening to you. If it does, I recommend getting public safety/animal control near the beginning of the process. Will update this review as the problem is handled. In order for this place to do anything to help you in these situations you have to spend months to go to court. They will not help you during the process, they will not reimburse you. You are a number on their financial checkbook to them and that is it. Do not live here.

They also have a dog wash, and nice patio with grills and a fire pit, and there is a secure package room for your deliveries. The cons - Very expensive, windows will get condensation and mold very quickly(you have to clean them almost daily), takes awhile for them to email you back(with my work schedule I can't always call), never enough parking spots, in winter the plow truck driver is an absolute idiot and rarely does his job so get prepared to not have the parking lot or drives to be plowed.

No online portal to pay your rent, have to mail in a physical check. and…read moreif you have maintenance issues, you have to call in to let someone know, and you aren't given a timeframe on when somebody might stop in to fix an issue (was surprised on a Saturday afternoon one weekend to a knock on my door). People in the office are nice enough to deal with. You are better off to call, email could take a while to get a response if at all. One of the tenants in the building I lived in had someone not on the lease living in their unit, and both smoked in the building. They were made aware of the issues, but continued to allow the person not on the lease to live in the building. They will dock you for everything little thing when you move out. So please, document everything and take lot of pictures to protect yourself.

I recommend this place and their excellent staff (Janelle, Cara, Joe & Cole). A couple new apartment buildings just got built, so now is a good time to get in.
