Don is amazing at what he does and he truly works with you in achieving what you want for your photos. He did our engagement photos recently and it went really smooth. He made it fun and we felt comfortable taking pictures with him because he made everything go with the flow and it felt very natural! We took pictures at Balboa park and he took us around to different spots so that he could maximize the area and beauty of Balboa Park. It was nice that he wanted us to have a big selection of photos with different background and styles. When we were taking pictures Don made us feel very relaxed. I loved that he made us feel at home and it was enjoyable! He taught us different poses and made it simple as possible. It was such a fun day! Don even makes bouquets for you as a prop during photo taking!! And they ARE BEAUTIFUL!! He seriously could be a florist too! LOL The week before our engagement photos he even called me to talk about attire and it was really nice of him to talk about what would be best to wear and he really wanted us to look perfect on that day and suggested many different outfits and even asked if he could see what we got planned to see if it would go well with the theme etc. it was really considerate of him to take the time to reach out to us and care about our wardrobe and how the pictures will look with certain attire. I had started looking for something last week (with no avail) at Lowe's and gave up in disgust for a few days. But with Earth Day right around the corner, it's get 'r done time. A friend of a friend referred me to Bad Dog Productions - and it's a good thing because I never would have found them on my own. Hidden in an industrial park in Kirkwood, this shop is run out of what looks like a giant garage. From what I could gather from the short time I was there, they sell production equipment for film makers... and I guess the stuff they carry also applies to festival tents, too :) I got some custom sand bags that have a strap on them so the average person can carry them around AND not have to worry about them busting open if they get dropped or thrown around. Yes! The only drawback is that these high-quality sand bags come with a hefty price tag of $37.50 each. Ouch! I only bought two for now, since that seemed expensive. But if I need more, I know where to go. And it's a small price to pay for knowing that my tent won't blow away at the slightest breeze :)
