Our daughter started at Piper when she was just 1 year and 10 months old, and over the years, Piper has become so much more than a school, it has become a second home. The teachers have played an instrumental role in helping our daughter grow into the confident, curious, kind, and joyful little person she is today. Every teacher we've encountered has been caring, engaged, nurturing, and genuinely invested in the well-being and development of each child. The curriculum strikes a beautiful balance between learning, creativity, independence, and play, and our daughter has absolutely thrived here. One of the things that has always stood out to us is how excited she was to go to school each and every day. As a parent, there is no greater gift than dropping your child off knowing they feel safe, loved, and happy. Equally special has been the community. Both our daughter and our family have formed friendships and relationships that will last far beyond our years at Piper. The sense of connection among parents, teachers, and staff is something truly unique. I also deeply appreciate the transparency and openness of the school. Sending my daughter to this preschool has been one of the best decisions we've ever made. From the very beginning, it felt like we had found something truly special -- and now that our time here is coming to an end, I already know I'm going to have post-Piper depression when she leaves! I have been blessed to be a parent of the Piper LA (Robertson) community for 6 years. In Los Angeles, it can be a bit overwhelming to find the right preschool, in the right location, with the right vibe for your child and family. I can say with near certainty that you can't go wrong with Piper. Yes, the building is beautiful, yes the teachers are great, yes your child will leave with an amazing education, but I hope you find those things in most any school you consider. What makes Piper Preschool magical is all the space between. It's the kindness, patience, understanding and community that truly sets it apart. It's a place where my kids have made mistakes without judgement, where teachers have kept a close eye on their growth while helping them through the major stepping stones of their development (potty training, friendships, speech, big feelings). It's a place where I can walk into the admin office at any time to chit chat because the door is always open for dialogue, and it's a place where the parents are welcome every day as true members and participants of the school (the community room was practically my office for awhile). Piper Preschool is a socially and economically diverse school (which was very important to us) full of warmth and kindness, where everyone feels loved and appreciated, from the child to the parent. And when the time comes for your family to start thinking of Kindergarten, you will have a team of teachers and admin who know you and your child intimately and will help guide you through the process, whether that be to public school or private. On a last personal note, Piper Preschool really has been an extension of our home for the past 6 years. My kids have made lifelong friends at Piper, but so have I. The teachers have held my kids' hands through their own ups and downs, but they've held my hand through them as well. Piper has set the bar quite high as it relates to the kind of education and community we want for our kids and family, and we're very blessed to have had it for 6 years. If you want your child in a warm and nurturing environment, then this is your place. Clean and fun facilities, incredible staff from the cleaning crew to senior management. I've looked at 20 schools in LA and can genuinely tell you that nothing compares! What Hannah has done with this place is incredible. She makes it a happy place. All of the t's are crossed and the i's are dotted! The front office team is remarkable in every way, Ali, Irene. All of them! Miss Roxsanna, Leslie and Aly are so caring and animated! The Teacher's and administration are thoroughly experienced, attentive and seasoned educationally. If you're reading this review you most likely: (a) live in Los Angeles, (b) are researching preschools, and (c) are completely overwhelmed. Big city, lots of options, am I right? Trust me, I've been there. I found Piper LA from a friend's recommendation back in 2019. My child has been at Piper for 3 years and is now leaving to enter kindergarten and my second will be starting soon. Piper is not for everyone and that's totally okay. That's the beauty of living in a large metropolitan city -- you'll find your "home" and where your child and your family belong. We found our home at Piper. To state the obvious, Piper is a beautiful and clean facility. The interior itself makes me happy and is outfitted to make you feel warm and cozy. There's a huge outdoor space with the cutest little creek where the littles can splash and explore (among other things). The not so obvious: Your child will truly blossom here. Our family loves the child-led/play-based approach. It was most important to us that our child learn to be social, respectful, kind, and confident -- all things I can say my child has proudly achieved. The teachers are also PHE-NO-ME-NAL! I can't stress that enough. They love on the kiddos and truly treat them with mutual respect. Furthermore, Nicole, the director of Piper is one of the kindest human beings you will ever meet. She cares, listens, and does her best to make everyone happy. Lastly, the Piper community is priceless. Our family has made the most beautiful memories and lifelong friendships -- something we value tremendously because damn... parenting ain't easy and it really takes a village! read more

Their only interest is the deposit you pay after that they treat you like you're shit and your child is just a number. I'm Very glad they showed their true colors. This is our second year at Piper. We chose the school because we were looking for a child-centered, welcoming school that was not religiously affiliated. For the last 2 years, we have been so happy with our choice. They understand a child's development and work to create very sharp, empathetic children who gain deep self knowledge and awareness. We returned to school in August after Covid and I have been so impressed by how Piper keeps the whole community safe while maintaining a strong sense of normalcy for the children. read more

I am not on yelp a lot but just wanted to come Back to this. I see the post getting votes so i figures I should update. So yeah actually Piper did not come Back with a canned corporate response. Instead they replied in the manner and tone they would address your concerns if you expressed them in person. Arrogant, snide and looking down on you. Not addressing your concerns instead mocking them. Also back to the diversity piece they claim to represent. Walk through the halls there and you will see pictures of kids who attend or attended piper. Not a single kid of color there...and that really speaks volumes if you are a person of color you will understand what i am saying. Edit: noticed this is getting a lot of votes. Just look at Piper's response to my post and you can get a sense of their "tone and approach" when you express concern about your kids education at Piper. We love LOVE Piper so much, don't know where to begin but feel like its imporatnt to share. Gotta start with the teachers, they are so gentle, thoughtful, and attentive, it really feels like they honor each child in whichever stage they are in, be it in development or their interests. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming, full of smiles and lovely vibes. It is comforting as a parent knowing our child truly looks forward to going there. Our son is thriving, feeling confident in connecting with kids in his class (PS cleanest classroom you could imagine) or exploring the amazing door space with elements in nature through their lovely garden to a creek, to sand and climbing areas, to sections of problem solving areas. It is such a lovely place, kind of wish we could stay forever. We are beyond grateful for Piper. After touring a number of preschools in the area we decided that this was the perfect place for us. The teachers seemed more passionate and engaged than other schools we looked at. Now in our second year I am so glad we made this choice! The administration, teachers, and staff are all wonderful. When my family and I moved from abroad, we were really nervous about choosing a preschool for our kids. After visiting Piper, we were confident and convinced that it was the best fit for us. Love at first sight. The space is absolutely dreamy and the staff is incredibly warm and nice. After enrolling my two year old, I was amazed by how welcomed we all felt, especially given the fact that he didn't speak English at all! Everyone made his transition so great and special. I'm so thankful for everyone who made my little boy feel at home and welcomed. He loves going to school, so much so that he hugs his teachers as soon as he sees them! My child has grown so much over the past year while at Piper. She started as a 2 year old straight out of quarantine. I was super worried about her since she hadn't had much social interaction with her peers. Her teachers have been nothing short of AMAZING through the process. They are always available to answer my (many!) questions. When I've brought up issues at home, they've offered to have zoom conferences to discuss my concerns and have offered super helpful advice. My child is now so secure and confident in interacting with her peers after her first year at Piper. I have her teachers to thank for that. They create such a safe space for these kids to explore and use their imaginations. As for the administration, I couldn't be happier. My older child went to a different preschool where there was ZERO transparency. Here I feel VERY comfortable and confident that mine and my kid's needs are being met. All questions and concerns have been met with prompt responses and a genuine desire on their behalf to facilitate a healthy, open line of communication. I am so so happy we found Piper! read more
