If there is space available at Saint Victor's for your child, you should take it. This is coming from someone who looked all over the area: This is the best hidden gem there is. No one asked me to write this review. I am not being rewarded in anyway and it was not required. (As some have asked below.) It is one of the very small things I can do to help this lovely school in return for all they have done to help my daughter THRIVE since she started. As a 40 year old first time mom I was nervous to leave my daughter. We also had some pretty brutal experiences at another care facility and a bad run of nannies. Mrs. Julie embraced us from day one with open arms and gave our family a safe place to land. When we drove away from school on the first day my daughter cried out: "Goodbye kids, I LOVE YOU." When we had some bumpy days with tears, I watched the teachers scoop her up with huge hugs. She paints, she dances, she learns songs, she plays hard and then she naps like a champ the minute she gets in her car seat. She is WORN OUT! We started with 3 days a week, and ramped up to 5, and now she even naps a couple of days at school. I have never ever worried about her safety or happiness at this school. All of the staff are always fully engaged and dedicated. They are all lovely, sweet, kind women, with great personalities and all have a great sense of humor. I have never seen any staff on a cell phone, ever. Which is unheard of today. Mrs. Julie and her staff do SO MUCH for EVERY holiday, that I barely need to do anything on my own at home to celebrate! This school has literally saved my family in our hardest times. I love the staff and in the last six months I have watched my little baby learn to feed herself all the way to performing in a play, to memorizing songs, and exercising amazing manners with friends. Every aspect of her childhood that I may not have "time" for or I might "lack" raising her on my own, I feel like they have my back and are helping me cover the little things - to collectively raise her into a whole human being. I went to a catholic school as a child, and if you did as well, and might remember things were maybe outdated, this is not like that. This is very modern. *If you work remote, after you drop off kiddo there's a great cafe walking distance to the school. BONUS: This is also the most affordable preschool I found in the area, BY FAR, and in this economy we all know that matters. I cannot say enough. If they still have a spot, take it. read more

Our daughters have both have thrived at this lovely preschool. When our older daughter graduated to go to kindergarten, she had grown leaps and bounds in confidence and was better equipped to make the big jump to elementary school. We skipped TK altogether so she could have more specialized attention and we really saw her growth as she felt safe and nurtured. Our younger daughter is currently there and her language has just expanded exponentially as well as her sense of confidence and independence. The moment we first came in the school we knew that it is the right place for my child. Being raised as a catholic myself, I knew I made the right decision enrolling my child here in Saint Victor. Headed by Mrs Julie who is very compassionate to children and all of the staff as well I knew from there that my child is in good hands. The schedule is tailored according to our personal preference. Can be half-day or whole-day. Tuition fee is really reasonable given the services and the care given to our children. Non catholics are very much welcome too. These are only few very good factors about Saint Victor Preschool and it would take forever to put everything in this review. Saint Victor's has been a great school for our son. He started going there when he had just turned two and it was his first experience in any sort of school or day care environment. Ms. Julie, Ms. Anita and all the teachers made the transition extremely smooth. He can't wait to go to school every morning, and it's usually hard to get him to leave when we pick him up (he's a BIG fan of their little tricycles.) We love the learning philosophy at St. Victor's -- they teach the kids not only ABC's, counting, shapes, etc., but also life skills like picking up after themselves, sharing, and even saying "Bless you!" when you sneeze. Every day our son comes home with a new skill. Ms. Julie is a great communicator (clear and concise emails to let you know exactly what is going on) and she plans lots of field trips and school plays / holiday parties. It really feels like a community. The teachers are amazing, friendly and always keep us in the loop with what's going on with our with our son. We were really impressed when parents of former St. Vic's students came to the Christmas bake sale just to see the teachers and say how much they miss them. Saint Victors was recommended by a friend and initially the selling point was that they were flexible with our scheduled days in order to align with what we needed. Other places we had toured did not align with days and times. After we toured, our daughter said "I want to go back to Miss Julie's house". That was 1.5 years ago! She loves being able to play with her friends, learn new skills in a loving and caring environment and practice being part of a community. After having difficulties at another preschool that wasn't the right fit, a neighbor recommended Saint Victor Preschool. I put it on the list of schools to see. When I arrived for my tour with Julie, the children were all so happy and engaged in their respective groups. The room is warm and welcoming, and the teachers have a calm command of the room. By the time I left, I knew this was the place for us. The year he was there, from age 3 1/2-4 1/2, he learned so much. About halfway through the school year, his teacher Miss Stephanie did a comprehensive evaluation of what he had learned- from ABCs and numbers, to his birthdate, our phone number and address. The kindness and patience of all of the teachers is reflected in the way my son speaks and treats others. Saint Victor Preschool was an integral part of the foundation of my son's life, and was a godsend for our family. I knew he was happy, safe and learning. As gay parents we were, at first, reticent to choose a Catholic school. Our fears were allayed after our first meeting with Julie, the director. The environment they've created for the kids is inclusive and the vibe is very family oriented. Great school! Great location, in the central of sunset strip; very beautiful and safe neighborhood. We love the Catholic Church even we not the parish family simply it's a beautiful church. My 4 year old daughter started here a little over a year ago and she has grown in so many ways. When looking for a preschool, we toured/deeply considered -some of the well known private preschools in the greater area that many refer to as "the best" (it's a short list of schools you hear of on repeat) . But at the end of the day, something just didn't feel right to us. My son graduates from St. Victor in a few weeks to move up to elementary school and it's very bittersweet. He started in January of 2021 at 2 years old and the loving, nurturing environment along with strong educational building blocks instilled in him have set him up for an easy transition to elementary school. I had Saint Victor's on my radar since I had done some research on preschools for a friend moving to town. When my daughter turned 2, we wanted a warm and safe environment that offered a part-time program -- I knew exactly where to go. We toured St. Vic's and we were sold. Ms. Julie, Ms. Anita and the rest of the staff were all so welcoming and kind. They really helped our little one transition from home to school. Our main goal was to help our daughter be okay away from mom/dad for a few hours day (covid baby and no other caretakers before 2) and to just have fun. The play-based program has met both those hopes. Another huge positive about this school is their flexibility and affordability. To be able to start part-time and transition to full days or add more days was a huge + for us. Their rates also help make this a school one that is economically inclusive. Some parents/children are preferred over others. Too many breaks (religious, administrative, etc). Our daughter has been attending St Victor from age 3-4 and has been loving it since. She transferred from a non-english preschool where she never showed much enthusiasm. I was a little nervous of her transition into an english only school, but she immediately adapted and became excited everyday to go. Her english wasn't that bad for her age, but in the time that she's been attending she greatly improved and now prefers english as her main language. She's also developed her social skills and talks about her school mates all the time. I thank the staff at St. Victor's for making it a fun experience for her. We relocated to LA this past November, mid school year and had to figure out pre school for a 4 and 2 year old. We literally drove by St. Victors and my wife went in to check it out. We literally lucked out as it's really been a blessing for both kids who attended. Our 2 year old is still there and she's gotten so much from being there education wise. Miss Julie the director of the program, does an amazing job with daily updates and reminders for busy parents and sharing pictures of the kids. The kids enjoy a variety of school activities a great mix of education and play, in the classroom and on the many field trips during the school year. Karate and Soccer are offered during school hours which has been a great experience for our daughter. There is a really warm community of parents who actively participate with the school and give great support to the kids. It's been a wonderful experience for her and for our family. My 2 year old is now at St. Victor preschool and loves it. This is my second child (2 boys) at the preschool and I have been very pleased. I originally tried a more expensive school in Beverly Hills and it did not compare. Julie and her staff are very friendly and truly care about the children.
