I especially enjoy visiting the shop for unique homemade gifts, dahlia tubers, fresh-cut bouquets, chocolates, and baked goods. Their greenhouses are equally impressive, with an amazing variety of plants--especially for anyone interested in creating a cut flower garden. They always have exactly what I'm looking for. I recently joined their flower pressing workshop and had the best time foraging blooms, learning the art of pressing, and soaking up all the cozy farm vibes. This craft is such a lovely way to connect with nature to create something beautiful you can display & enjoy. This flower farm is a mainstay at some local markets and I have seen their work at local events as well. They are a good distance from me, a South Hills resident, so I've never had the opportunity to stop out in person until this past weekend, when a friend arranged a group outing to make fall wreaths. We first stopped in their shop to pay for the workshop, which costs $100 each and last for about two hours. Your dried flower wreath could last for up to three years. It's a little pricey but it's a fun group activity and you are paying not only for the materials but for the experience and for the expertise of the trainer, who is so knowledgeable and even teaches this workshop at Phipps. Getting back to the shop, they have a lovely curated selection of small and local business merchandise and of course their own flower bouquets, $20 each and incredibly fresh with a unique selection of flowers. If I lived nearby I would stop here weekly to buy myself a bouquet. I also noticed they were selling full-size pumpkins for $6 and mini pumpkins for $1 which is an incredible deal compared to many other shops. We were allowed to bring our own food and drink to the workshop, which took place in one of their greenhouses. I noticed their stunning selection of herbs and flower pots growing there. For our workshop, we each started with a small wreath form and some moss type of material, then were taught how to create an outer layer and inner layer, then each selected dried flowers for the top. Everyone has varying degrees of talent with activities like this and I'm not shy about saying that my talent level is about grade school; some of my friends were producing professional-level stuff and mine was not that. But it is pretty and wonderfully fragrant, particularly with the eucalyptus we used, and I have hung it on my patio where it brings joy every time I look at it. One of my favorite flower shops! I've been a customer for a few years, whether it be at their farm or at a farmers market. They always have awesome house plants, beautiful bouquets and a great selection of perennials, annuals, herbs, etc. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. I used them for my wedding and opted for their elopement a la carte options because we didn't need a ton of arrangements. I got to choose the style and color palette but the rest was a surprise! I was completely blown away. I knew they would be good but I was so happy to see that they were better than I could have imagined. My bridal bouquet lasted about a week before I needed to press them. I remember seeing them at the Neighborhood Fleas way way back in the day and every single item they had was so beautiful. They do such a great job of flower arranging and picking some really interesting flowers. I know they also do a lot of different workshops on their farm as well as the flea, which I love because I am pretty clueless when it comes to arranging flowers and putting together pieces. I would also highly recommend them for wedding or special occasion flowers and bouquets. While their farm is pretty far from the city, they do deliver and they have a fresh flower subscription from Spring to Fall, so imagine fresh flowers in your house all the time! Pisarcik Greenhouse is probably best-known for the beautiful bouquets they sell at many of the local farmer's markets, but they also will do flowers for weddings. They are a local flower grower, which is great for those of us who are worried about the environmental impact of using cut flowers for decoration. I did not ask Elaine for help with floral design or anything like that, although I have heard that she can offer that service. Because I had a relatively small, informal wedding with an outdoorsy and rustic vibe, I felt that simple mixed bouquets would do just fine. My wedding was at the very end of fall, and I was a little dubious about how the flowers would look that late in the season, but the bouquets were absolutely gorgeous. They worked perfectly with the other decor elements and made the wedding really special. The one reason I am giving the greenhouse 3 stars, instead of 4 or 5, is that I had some trouble getting in contact with Elaine in the couple weeks prior to the wedding. In fact, I had made a backup plan to run down to the Strip District and get bouquets from the flower seller off the side of the road if I didn't hear from Elaine. I was a pretty laid-back bride so it didn't really matter to me personally, but a more detail-oriented bride might have been unhappy about that. read more

I recently just got married this October and had planned on using another company for my flowers for they were doing some other services for us. When they quoted me pricing on bouquets, boutonnieres and centerpieces I almost dropped to the floor. Less than two months to my wedding I found out about this little gem Pisarcik's which just so happened to be close to my home AND wedding venue. When I called I spoke with Elaine and made an appointment right away to meet so we could talk arrangements and pricing. She was an absolute pleasure to deal with, and her staff was over the top terrific. She helped me to pick seasonal flowers, and a beautiful colorful arrangement. I also had the idea to pick out my own vintage containers and have them filled with herbs so that they could last me a lifetime and decorate my head table. Not to mention the pricing - VERY reasonable, especially after shopping around a bit. Any questions I had, Elaine was prompt to answer, and she even made a mock bouquet which I got to take home and lasted for a couple weeks in my home. On the day of my wedding Elaine and her employee Beth were AMAZING. They were on time, delivered the most gorgeous flowers and herbs. Honestly, I could not have asked for anything better. The flowers lasted quite some time, I have them dried out and am about to get them framed! and the herbs are all repotted and sitting throughout my home for use in cooking! Thank you so much for helping to make my wedding such a special day, you really took some of the stress out of the planning.
