The venue is perfect for concerts, plays etc. and every seat is a good seat. I first saw Mr. Botti in concert years ago and I thought I would literally lose it. He tore that trumpet up. I have never heard a trumpet sound THAT good, ever! HE is the very reason I fell in love with it. My instrument of love was always the saxophone, but honey all that changed after hearing this cat. He also happens to have the coldest band ever and is such a brilliant yet caring person. He provides opportunities for other phenomenal musicians to play with him from all over the world...not everyone does that...talk about unselfish, it's very admirable. One of my favorite things about this school is the amount of study spaces they offer. On top of that, almost every study space is equipped with markers and a whiteboard which comes in handy when studying for big exams. Not only is the nursing building open for nursing students, but the medical building offers the same spaces with whiteboards, computers, small spaces, etc. Inside the nursing building includes a computer room that can be used for printing! Overall, the professors are competent, freindly, personable, and professional. I did not have any problems with any specific professors. They really want to see us succeed and will push us to be our best selves. They truely understand what it is like to be overwhelmed in nursing school and can relate to us UMKC nursing also offers an abundance of clinical hours. This was something that really helped me hone in on my skills and see nursing in action. Sometimes it is hard to imagine that the field is like from the classroom perspective, so seeing it live is incredibly helpful. Although the early mornings are hard, it is worth it. I did have some clinical instructors that would kind of disappear during clinicals. This program is hard. It is not a walk in the park and a lot of people had to redo classes. But this school does their best to support their students and help them succeed.

Sure we had a few curmudgeonly teachers that aren't there anymore, but we also had some extremely inspirational and awesome teachers. The class sizes were just right, recess was the best, and there is a strong sense of community through and through. There's occasion rumors that they'd close WWV because it's too small, which would be the ultimate shame. That's the beauty of it, and it's in one of the greatest areas of Kansas City in my opinion.

I loved going here for elementary school. It was conveniently close to our home, known for its…read moreacademic achievements, and just a fun place to be. the teachers and staff are all wonderful and truly care about the students (and parents) and I would never go anywhere else. The only problem is parking. they used to have a circle drive that would cause many problems as the school grew. This problem prompted the school district to tear down the school and rebuild it, maximizing the lot space and building a bigger school. This time around it will have a larger amount of parking lot and 2 stories to accommodate for the growing population around it. Great school, great people, great experience!
