My best experience was with Pittsford florist, they were kind , understanding, and willing to help to go on extra to make you feel uncomfortable with your selection. 5 yrs later for my second attempt for funeral selection for a family member they came through. Awful. I called from out-of-state to arrange for a floral arrangement for a funeral. We could not attend but other family members did. We knew the arrangement would not be large (even for $150). But it was supposed to be brightly colored and beautiful. Our family members said that it was dull colored and looked like it had been dropped. I ordered a Mother's Day arrangement from Pittsford Florist's online store. I wanted something a bit different, so I decided to go with the "Designer's Choice" option. All I can say is WOW! Not only have I never ordered flowers from here (used Yelp reviews to choose), but I had to order from out of state without knowing what exactly the shop would design by selecting the Designer option. I ordered on Tuesday and there was no problem with getting them delivered on Saturday (day before Mother's Day). I also had a quick question about delivery, so I quickly called the shop and they were very helpful with their response - I was afraid my mom wasn't going to answer the door, and hoped they'd leave it there for her, which they did. We were unable to attend my Uncle's 90th birthday celebration, so we ordered a bouquet including 3 balloons, totaling $135 which included delivery. I was disappointed that they charged for delivery since they told us they were already hired to do the flowers for this event (thus, they were delivering centerpieces and our bouquet would be on the same delivery truck). Anyway, I asked my sister to send a picture of the bouquet and I was shocked & embarrassed. It was so small and sparse! It was probably equivalent to a $49.99 (at most!) 1-800-flowers bouquet. It included a few red roses, a couple of gerber daisies and some fern leaves. So not what I was expecting! This florist did an unbelievable job of brightening the day for two ladies in Pittsford. The staff here was friendly and helpful and rushed delivery of two potted plants to business associates of mine in their local area. I got nothing but compliments on the first day, and since sending the plants about a month ago I have gotten multiple emails from both ladies raving about their gifts. I was super disappointed with Pittsford Florist. I ordered a $50 fall bouquet of flowers - I asked for a big bouquet of fall colors, pretty for my boss' birthday. Delivery and tax were on top of that. She received a small brown vase with 2 red roses, red carnations and some greens. Not $50 worth and not fall. I called back bc my boss had sent me a pic - they did send a new arrangement (better but I could have gotten the flowers for $5 off the road stand by my house for a bigger bouquet) and THEY ASKED for the other arrangement BACK!! They took the first one from her and then gave her the new one! I was mortified and my boss thought that was the worst customer service ever. Just let her have both. I told them I expected better. I could have spent $40 in Wegmans on huge gorgeous fall bouquet but thought this would be more special and nicer. Wrong. Next time I will do it myself. It would have been a bigger, pretty bouquet for $35 less than than my total and would have knocked my boss' socks off. So so disappointed - and embarrassed. read more

Not only is their work sub par, but the pictures that they have hanging to represent their work are beyond awful.While flipping through a book that represents their wedding work i was embarrassed just looking at it. Although there were plenty of pots and containers in there that were pretty, they were beyond overpriced. They wanted almost $70 for a ceramic pot I could pick up at marshals for $25 read more

I'm from the STL, my boss's boss father past away and their Shiva was taking place in Rochester, I randomly selected Pittsford off Google. When I called and spoke to Christy and informed her I was calling from STL and asked if she was local to where I needed the basket delivered, Christy compared their location to one of the suburbs where I live! Although it was coincidental, I instantly felt connected and had a vibe that I chose the right florist to help me out. I explained to Christy I needed to send a sympathy Shiva basket, not too familiar with the Jewish custom, Christy assured me that all my needs for this order will be accommodated accordingly and appropriately and most importantly, personally. Christy connected me with her boss/owner, Sarah. From this point on, Sarah and her team handled my order with such care and consideration, I was not only impressed but touched - they had to personally buy all the kosher items to fill our basket at their local Jewish grocery shop! The basket was beautiful and plentiful beyond my expectations. How did I know besides taking their word for it? They offered to send me a picture of the finished basket before delivering it!! I was unable to attend a funeral for a dear friend and wanted to send a very special arrangement to the funeral home. I was very specific in saying that I wanted something that didn't scream funeral but that made a statement and could be taken home to hopefully brighten the sadness of the day. I spoke to Sarah and her assistant about my wishes. I had to write this review because the flowers were BEAUTIFUL and they really stood out to my friend who said she knew they were from me the minute she saw them...she said they made her feel like I was giving her a big hug and they brought cheer to the room with their beauty... furthermore...they were the nicest flowers and arrangement in the room! She told the funeral director that she wanted to take them home with her... and was told that it was already noted! I recieved an arrangement from Pittsford Florist today. I was so excited to see such a lovely surprise!! The arrangement came packaged in pretty celophane with a beautiful ribbon; all flowers in tact. The arrangement looks very high-end- in a trendy mason jar with a variety of fall colors. It is filled with many different types of flowers and not just over loaded with fillers. I would definatly recommend this florist to anyone. They did a very nice job!!!! My husband ordered an arrangement for our anniversary yesterday and they arrived fresh but it was rather small for the price and the ugliest arrangement I've ever received from any florist shop. Clearly a rookie made this or an elementary child. I could have bought 3 large beautiful bouquets at Wegmans for the same price and been 5 star happy. We will NEVER order from them again. From the start, she was so helpful, talking through what types of flowers would work well for the season and the types of colors I was looking for. I let her have freedom to do what she thought was best and she definitely did not disappoint! My bouquet, along with my bridesmaids, were all stunning! We were originally going to pick them up the night before the wedding, but I called last minute and she had them delivered to our venue the next day. This review is a bit late in coming, but I'm glad I finally sat down to write it because Pittsford Florist deserves top accolades for their work! I was cutting it close by calling only a day or two before Mother's Day (which I'm sure is their busiest day of the year), but not only were the staff wonderfully friendly, patient, and professional over the phone, they were more than helpful and accommodating when it came to creating the perfect gift for my mom (and that's within my price range!). I went with a combination of a hanging basket (have to mention that in case, like me, you didn't know that that was an option) and a bouquet. I was so thrilled to hear how thrilled my mom was with their work! I think it's her favorite bouquet she has ever received - like mentioned in a previous comment, the bouquet had a beautiful arrangement of different sorts of flowers and was very full but without any of the "filler flowers". Also the hanging basket was a wonderful touch as unlike even the best of bouquets it has lasted over time on the porch. Bottom line: highly recommend them! read more

Sarah Costello, Luanne Crosby and the team at Pittsford Florist were excellent to work with and really brought our vision to life for our August wedding at Bristol Harbour. My husband and I weren't exactly sure what we wanted and Sarah and Luanne talked without throughout our engagement, getting a sense of the kinds of things we liked. They were creative, wonderful to work with, and always available. When we wanted to scale back on the budget without losing our vision, they worked with us and made it happen (one month from the wedding, no less!) I loved that they took our pinterest boards and other inspiration pieces we sent them and created a space that drew on the outside beauty of Canandaigua Lake and was unique. When she tried again the person who answered hung up on her. Very sketchy business practices. On the one (and only) time I visited the store I was very put off by the attitude of the people working there. Very arrogant and condescending. I had a really nice experience with this store over the fall but when I went in to purchase something for Thanksgiving, all this place had was a bunch of over priced cactus plants or pointsettias. The clerks mumbled and apologized but this flower shop had no flowers and the few things they did have were in bad shape and overpriced. I will never go back. It's too much of a gamble. read more
