Additionally one of the best parts of the rehab experience on Baum Blvd is the entire professional staff.

Go someplace else…read more The rehab staff were good. The remainder of the staff could use improvement in patient care. I wasn't allowed to go for a walk without a staff member, rarely did they have the time for me. I am diabetic and it took several days to get my meals switched to diabetic. My bed was too short, when I arrived, I was told they had to bring a bed extension, It several days and many complaints. It took 5 days to get a working TV set, that only happened because my friend fixed it. My first week there, I was in much pain (broken back and arm), I screamed for hours to get help. One of the head nurses scolded and threatened me for not sitting up on my own, after falling.

This has to be one of the worst places in Pittsburgh to send a loved one for rehabilitation. There's no communication with the doctors and the different services that need to be met for patients. Again, worst place ever! Do not. I repeat. Do not send a loved one to this place. Not to mention no one ever calls you back! What's also very frustrating is people need to be taken care of and their aides are sitting on their phones at the front desk. What they should be doing is walking around to the rooms and making sure no one needs anything because let me tell you there are a lot of needs that are not being met at this facility

I went to CRS Outpatient services for both occupational therapy and physical therapy…read more The occupational therapy was with Rudolph who was a great guy and very helpful to me and my back and neck condition. The physical therapy was with Adam and he also was great. I definitely would go back to CRS outpatient therapy if I needed to. If you are looking for a great physical therapist I highly recommend CRS Outpatient

After re-injuring my shoulder (labral tear), I thought my weightlifting days would be over…read more However, the incredible staff at CRS got me back to full range of motion and 80% strength in just a few months! I'm happy to say that with two more months of PT on my own, I'm now at 90% strength, something I didn't think possible. You get an incredible amount of attention and personalization here; the therapists all listened to my lofty goals and then pushed me to achieve them. This is a teaching center, and so there is always someone with you even if the main therapist is busy, something I have not experienced at other clinics. There are two gyms that are well-stocked with various equipment, and the staff are great at suggesting at-home versions of exercises where your home setup falls short. I hope I don't need to go back here, but I wouldn't hesitate to choose CRS again should the need arise! They accept both referrals and self-referrals, although you should check your insurance coverage before self-referring.

These people are responsible for so much of my children's success. I am forever grateful for all…read morethat they've done to help us. Sensory Link Pediatric Therapy is the best place in our area for occupational, speech, and physical therapy for kids with a wide variety of needs. The owner is an occupational therapist (OT) who treats kids at this location. She is personally invested in the success of the business and the children that she treats. We've been seeing an OT here since they opened over four years ago. A few years ago we added speech. They emphasize sensory input to help regulate and get children back in sync. They have several excellent feeding therapists for children that have trouble eating certain textures, moving food within their mouth, swallowing, gagging, or aversions to certain types of food. They are also excellent at helping children with hand writing and use the Hand Writing Without Tears system. Every employee here loves kids & their job. They work hard to personalize services to help each child to achieve their maximum potential in life and to close the gap on developmental delays as quickly as possible. Their new location is in a bright, beautiful, eco-friendly building with lots of room for the kids to run, jump and have sensory fun. They have a large waiting area with lots of toys to play with while the children wait and to keep siblings busy during the appointment. I noticed lately that many of the children like to stay after their appointment to play in the waiting area a little longer. This place is fun, professional, and effective. We love Sensory Link!!
