Chiropractic care is the only thing that has healed my migraines and I am grateful to CCH for taking care of this as well as my back/neck after my car accident. They also have specialized equipment that helps give addiction treatment to specific issues. I.e. decompression machine, my go to. They are upfront about costs, which I appreciate and will give you a detailed plan along with out of pocket costs. Insurance companies do not cover a lot. Not being a newbie to chiropractic care I took to Yelp to find one who would suit my needs - not all chiropractors are created equal, and certainly not all practice the way I look for. In chiropractors I look for: personalization to my specific issues, thorough diagnosis, layman explanations of what they think the problem is, someone who is willing to work with me on specifics that I want addressed (rack and crack if I want it), and above all a chiropractor who's goal is to get you better and get you out the door instead of trying to suck you into endless visits (like so many do). Yelp came through and I found LeGault! LeGault helped me work through back, neck, shoulder, and hip issues; some had been chronic like the hips, and others like my lower back had just sprung up. Personally, I immediately felt better after my first visit, but came up with a plan for appts. at the first visit to rectify the underlying issues. LeGault was more optimistic than me on how long it would take to correct my problems and I can happily say we beat both of our expectations! During my initial appointment, Dr. Kathleen O'Connell and her staff took a detailed history and did a thorough exam. Initial adjustments were done carefully and gradually. Heat, vibration, and topical analgesics are used to help decrease discomfort and let the body ease back into alignment. I appreciate this approach because I carry a lot of tension and have scar tissue that makes more aggressive adjustments miserable. I've always been able to get an appointment--even on the same day. The doctors O'Connell are clearly dedicated to improving their patients quality of life. I hope that you don't have need of their services, but don't hesitate to call if you do.

After months of treatment this time and periodically over the years, I still ended up with issues, but then: I got a Deep, DEEP Tissue massage on Christmas Eve. It has helped my back immensely. After the massage and (not kidding) walking on my back, she stretched me out very similarly to a chiropractic adjustment. It adjusted and a day later, I wasn't hunched over in pain. Two hours of unbelievable bliss for 110 bucks + tip, rather than a 4-minute adjustment. Do yourself a big, big favor - get it done. You deserve it! They also said it would take 4 months to fix my back and neck (my neck of which I had simply slept on wrong) and that I needed foot orthotics and physical therapy equipment from them. At my first visit he told me with a flat affect and arrogantly that I had three options: do nothing, take meds for the pain for the rest of my life, or let him fix me. I was shocked by how prideful and degrading this statement was. Dr. Carr was very forceful when he adjusted my back, so much so, that I was lightheaded from the amount of pain my back was in a few hours after the adjustment. My neck, which was causing me the most pain, was never adjusted during the 3 "adjustments" I had there. He'll spend a max of 3 minutes on you and the rest you'll be doing exercises for 20 min before he'll see you. Additionally, I never felt any better after an adjustment. Do not go here. I had gone to him because of the reviews I'd read, but I'm honestly not sure where people are getting that he's "compassionate" and "genuine". This is the opposite of how I would describe him and the practice. Meanwhile, I went to another chiropractor up the road (Legacy Medical Center) who spent 20 minutes on me and was very gentle. I felt so much better after 3 adjustments that I haven't had to go back since. That is the way a legitimate chiropractor should operate.

I've been plagued by chronic headaches since grade school. From debilitating migraines to dull…read moreheadaches that would last for literally months, I feel like I've spent more of my life with a headache than without. Naturally, I've seen every specialist there is to see, but the one profession I've encountered more than any other (by a factor of about a dozen) is the chiropractor, and until Lucid Chiropractic, they all said the same thing: that they've cured tons of people of their headaches, and that if I simply follow their [expensive] program, I'll be good as new. Except no one so much as touched them. They came with the same frequency, same intensity, same everything. The chiropractors would push for me to stay in treatment for another month or year, saying that my feeling better was just around the corner. Needless to say, I soon wrote chiropractors off for good. Then my husband came home raving about a chiropractor who came into his office, and how this one was "different" and that I needed to give him a chance. I was opposed to this, and eventually my husband had to force my hand by booking the appointment for me. On the drive over, grumpy, groggy, and headachey--like I always was--I said "fine, but I'm not letting them take any x-rays. My head's been x-ray'd so much that they'll give me brain cancer by the time they solve my headaches." My initial meeting was with Dr. Geoff. After a lengthy (and informative) description of what sort of chiropractic care he provides (hint, it's not the normal pop-and- crack-em variety), he asked me what was wrong. I explained to him my headaches, and then the unthinkable happened. He said "Well, I'm not sure if we can resolve them or not, but we can try. To start, though, we'll need to take some x-rays." My husband thought I'd walk out the door at the mention of x-rays, but instead I was all in. This chiropractor knew that there were limits to the care he could provide, already proving he was both more honest and more intelligent than most I had worked with in the past. That his rates were beyond reasonable, and his "treatment plan" only lasted two-to-three months of relatively regular visits, was bonus. Initially, my headaches were static, but I noticed an unexpected change: I was no longer groggy and foggy-headed. I didn't even realize that one could feel clear-headed and energetic as a normal part of life. I didn't mention this as a problem to solve, and no one planted the idea in my head that I might be more alert, and yet I was downright spritely. It was euphoric, and made continuing with Lucid Chiropractic absolutely worth it, even if my head still did regularly hurt. After several months, though, even my headaches started to fade. Now that I know what it feels like to feel good, being groggy, dull, and achy is nearly debilitating. I am so acutely aware of all the ways in which I do not feel good, and I marvel that I was able to live like this, every day, and be a productive person. When I do something stupid and throw myself out of alignment, I can feel it, and that's saying something. I am not normally the most self-aware person. And now I merely go in to see them when I know I'm out of alignment, they do their magic, and then the next day it's like I'm a real person again. Dr. Geoff and Dr. Ollie are amazing, and I'm so glad my husband bullied me into seeing them. They single-handedly have improved the quality of my life.
