The company was founded by an experienced network administrator with a background in engineering, product development, PCB design, and embedded programming — and years of hands-on work in the construction industry. History

Established in 2002.

Utilizing my extensive knowledge of networks I started Pivotal Audio in early 2002 as a small DBA. The idea was to provide source for local general contractors and home builders to install quality networks for their new homes to make the homes relevant for the ever-growing demand of broadband internet and media sharing. As time passed and the business grew, we created new relationships in the AV field and incorporated the company as an LLC. As of today we are a authorized dealer for many manufacturers such as RTI, B&K Components, Atlantic Technology, Marantz , and Samsung to name a few. We now not only offer services to General Contractors but also offer aftermarket installations for both residential and commercial clients in Audio Visual, Telecom, and Computer networks. I am proud to say that Pivotal Audio has seen nearly 1000% growth in revenue and customers in the past two years.

Meet the Business Owner: Don H.

I graduated from wake Tech in 1995 with an Associates Degree in Electronics Engineering. I quickly become employed at a local electronics manufacturer as a Test Technician. I was then given the opportunity to work in the engineering and development department where I expanded my skill set to include PCB design, programming, database management and most importantly computer networking. When the company was purchased in 2000 by a larger manufacturer I became a senior network admin where I resided until the site was later closed. I have been working hard to develop my own company in a part time manner for several years prior to the plant closing in 2008. When the plant closed it gave me the opportunity to peruse my dream of owning my own business and going to work full time for myself ever since.
