Absolutely amazing, come for the extraordinary beer but be prepared for some incredible food and service. We had a late lunch there today 12/07/2025 and we were just blown away by the atmosphere, service and quality of the food and beer. We sampled two of the best beers I have ever tasted but I admit the "Homemade" beer was the best of the two with the Pilsner being the second one. If I had to do it over again, I would have done the Sampler but that's just a reason to return. If you're fortunate you will have Viktor as your server, patient, knowledgeable and he added to our incredible experience. This is a must stop on your trip to Prague!! read more

It's pretty cold out right now so we asked to be seated inside (outside seating is adorable, too!) and they sat us right away! We got beers and they were brought pretty quickly. We ordered goulash and two appetizers to eat between three people for lunch and it was plenty. The tartar was my husbands favorite to date! From anywhere we have been! While here, the hubby got a bloody nose and the waiter immediately brought us sparkling water and had us rub salt on the blood on his heather gray sweatshirt. The oldest brewery and Inn in Prague. The food was excellent and decently priced. I had the boar goulash and was quite full after. I also loved the beer flight. Some people misunderstand the traditional Czech beer pour, which leaves a large head, as being underserved, but it improves the taste of the beer. Really enjoyed it. read more

Came here on the recommendation of the hotel. We were totally unimpressed. It's the oldest brewery in Prague? Their special beer was a "green beer"... No IPA's. I don't say horrible lightly, but it was. I couldn't finish my flight... One star gone, probably should be two. Although the food was good the portion size left us wanting more. We left looking for somewhere else to get snacks. Remove another star. Waiter was uninterested in helping us past the order process and then asked for a tip... LOVED this restaurant / pub ***AMBIANCE*** Very classy and not too loud but all of the tables are mostly full! They had nice " elevator " music playing ***FOOD*** Amazing! It was the best spaetzel I have ever had! The mushrooms had a flavor I have never had and it definitely had plenty of umami while still being vegetarian. Probably the best mushrooms I have ever tasted! The drinks were great and the price is about half of that in Paris! ***CONCLUSION*** Definitely would recommend this place! This is one of the oldest breweries in Prague and the oldest in town with an inn. You'll get pretty much what you're after. They brew, they distill, they cook. It's a win win win. Prices are reasonable and they even offer a flight of six beers. They're always busy so avoid popular times and weekends. They sell merchandise but it's a little hidden so you may have to ask if you're interested in stickers or clothing. read more

Myself and five others (husbands and wives) are at Pivovar U Supra last night. It was a wonderful evening so we chose to sit outside. We had great server named Fando, who took great care of us. We had guest who are gluten free, those that stick to mostly vegetarian, and those who enjoy all foods. Often in excess. Pivovar U Supra did not disappoint. We tried the Goulash, the Potato Dumpling, the Chicken Roulade, and a variety of Salads and Soups. And most importantly lots of Beer. All was fabulous, with great service from Fando! Had the beer flight - 6 .2l beers. All were light and easy to drink but not much difference in flavor profiles except the dark beer and Belgian cherry. But was shocked by the bill. The flight of beer and small water, inclusive of an automatic 10% tip on the already overpriced beer, cost more than what I paid for a very nice dinner with bread and wine. read more

The main draw here is the beer tasting: all six of the ones they brew, in 0.2 liter amounts, for about $20. For Americans who don't do metric: 0.2 liters is a shade under 7 ounces, so in total this is not quite 4 full-sized beers. Best to buy this with a friend... For food, we had the "game stock" soup (imagine a beef consomme, with various root vegetables) and the langos (imagine fried dough, topped with barbecue pork and the ubiquitous beets). For the beer: I'm saddened to say that this was about the point that I decided I didn't care much for Czech beers. Heresy! (To put this in perspective, my tastes run to the darker, more Belgian-style beers, and I tend to go for minimal hoppiness, so pilsners are already starting several points down on my list; if light and hoppy is your thing, then these were pretty good) read more

I would give this place 4 stars, as the drinks and food were pretty good, but this place does one of those things that most guidebooks and travel guides will warn you about when you travel to Prague: bait and switch on one of the menu items. Came here for a late afternoon drink and a snack, along with the bf and a friend, when we were in town a few weeks ago. We had read that this was one of the oldest breweries in Prague, so we were looking forward to trying out their beers. I opted for their light lager, while the bf got their dark beer, and our friend got wine. We also decided to share an order of the spicy Romadur cheese, and the Czech cheese platter. The bf and our friend also shared an order of their wurst sausages, and the bf also decided to get a pretzel. Our food came out promptly, as did our drinks. The pretzels came on a tree, of sorts, and there were 8 pieces on it. We figured that the entire tree was included, but turns out, each pretzel is charged separately, which really felt like a bait and switch move as these were hard, cracker like pretzels that would normally be free in most other places, but we instead were charged 232 CZK for. At least the food and drinks were good, but otherwise, caveat emptor. read more

One star for the TERRIBLE service. Ordered soup, waited 40 minutes. It never came out. Ordered a second beer. It never came out. The slogan at U Supa should be "once you enter, you never leave!" Wasn't overly impressed but they did have a great beer. Staff was a bit unique in the way they treated us as if were a problem. The most disappointing was the pretzels. We went in because we saw them through the window. But they were more like croutons than pretzels being they were so hard. Good for a quick drink. read more

We went here in the middle of December and enjoyed ourselves very much. We were served by a lovely and charming woman with short blond hair (I never get names, sorry) who walked us through what to expect with the beer flight, and then helped us with the menu choices. The beer was all very good, including the Czech beer, but we were blown away by a Belgian cherry beer. I enjoyed the duck leg confit, very tender and flavorful, and hubbs had the fried cheese dish, which he said was excellent. The decor is fascinating and the service was good. We left with a happy buzz and were so pleased by it we went back the next day. I ordered the pork knee (what an experience, sooo tasty) and hubbs had... something. My focus was more on my plate, and that lovely Belgian beer than on him. The service was a bit slower on the second night, but we put that down to the civilized and relaxed European style of dining. Awesome beer, great staff, and very good starters to match with the beer. We did the basic beer tasting and thoroughly enjoyed it. Libor was very friendly and showed us a great time. We really liked their IPA, tmave, and porter beers. Others in our group really took to the Belgian Cherry beer as well. We liked everything so much we went back again to see our friend! Nice place with great ambiance! The guy standing outside was very friendly & invited us inside but also allowed us to check out the menu posted near the door w/no real pressure. Service was fast & friendly & they didn't try to rip our little group off. I had the thyme stuffed golden trout which was excellent! Grilled just right & served whole. I went here looking for local beer and a light Czech dinner with my friend who was visiting and was not disappointed. It is a fun and busy atmosphere that makes for a great tourist spot. It was not terribly expensive given its prime tourist location and the live music, house beer, and decent sized menu make it a place that will surely please everyone in some way. We both got the brats in beer sauce with brown bread and weren't disappointed. Their house beer is in the Czech style and nothing to rave over, but is satisfying. The location and live accordion make it fun and stand out over the many other Czech cuisine places in the area. Wonderful house brews; loved both the blond and the semi dark beers. The baked sausages however were the best sausages we have ever eaten. So good in fact we came twice in just 3 days. Only reason for 4 not 5 stars was service. It took a little too long to get our food both times and no one checked on us to see if we wanted another drink as we waited. read more

Really pretty sitdown restaurant. Staff is very friendly and speak great English. I ordered the Salmon and it was really fishy. Not good at all, wouldn't recommend it. Great little bar and restaurant. Didn't try the food but what we saw looked good. This bar brews its own beer which is very good, but other Czech beers are also available. Considering the place is in a busy tourist area the beer prices were very cheap and compared well with prices in the 'locals' bars in the out of town places. Tried to buy several plastic bottles of beer to take home but we're berated by the wait staff and manager for touching them and placing them on our table to pay. They were in plain view and accessible to anyone so I assumed we could pick them up and pay for them as part of our bill. We were treated like thieves!
