I hammered a bomb of an overhand right forcing her to get a brisk jog on to get the ball, and I looked to my right. The kids were playing together on the playground, with parents watching them from a healthy distance while talking to each other probably talking sh*t about parents who aren't present. It reminded me of a time before phones and convenience culture took over the entire world. A time before you'd get super frustrated when your Doordash order would take 10 more minutes than expected or when Netflix would buffer. A time when you were grateful to be able to just call your homie on his landline to see if he could hang out. A simpler time. I almost felt like a kid again, being fully present and just being happy to get my blood flowing while the sun was out and shining. The only moment I really have is right now so I'm gonna enjoy it. I love how you sign up for a time slot on this court with pen and paper on a bulletin board, as there is no way to do it online. Along with the sign up sheet, the bulletin board consists of flyers for local tennis coaches, a workout class, and an opportunity to adopt a foster cat. A true sense of community. Convenience culture, while it obviously has its pros, sort of kills a sense of community... Alright I'm doing the most right now on this review for a Community Center so I'll wrap it up. Places like this are a big part of what bring communities together and give people a sense of belonging and connection to one another, and I think it's a bit lost in our modern day culture in big cities. I've been to a few places in the ballpark of this before (Activate, Level 99). This place has a good amount of rooms, and a good blend of purely physical, and purely mental, so enough to satisfy any range of talents in your group, and flexibly so across rooms. Even with a few other groups in the building, we only had to wait a handful of times, and it was on the order of seconds. I came last time right after opening in October, and this time, many of the games were very much replay-able and fun with a new group! Not sure about coming back more frequently though-- I imagine that I'd have to similarly come back with some time in between or with enough new people to keep it novel enough to be fun. Some games are malfunctioning due to some unruly guests going way too hard, but otherwise, the staff are super helpful and are willing to help out to get games up and running for you again, or to give you tips on games if you're struggling to get a 100 score. A fun evening for sure! You'll leave a bit tired!

Nothing is worse than playing catch and stepping in it. Ugh. The corner back near fitzwater and 9th is great for picnics and just general laziness unless a soccer game is going on.

Prices are reasonable and admission is not timed so you can skate all day if you want. The rink is pretty small and gets very crowded on weekends, mostly with people who are brand new to skating. They do have devices for young children to use to help them balance, but expect a lot of slow moving people trying to catch their balance. There is also a heated tent with tables, a snack bar and an arcade if you need a break from skating. The Christmas music and fire pits are also a nice touch.

The rink is a 60-by-120-foot rink and surrounding Winterfest features, including a carousel and trees covered in lights. Skate rental is $4 for all ages, Rink admission is $6 for adults and $4 for Children (5-12), Seniors and Veterans. Free skate buddys are available for the novice skaters in your group and they offer skate sharpening onsite for $5 if you have your own skates. Skate lessons are available on Sunday Mornings from 11-12. $20 a class. A "lodge" sells soft pretzels and hot chocolate. Winterfest is open through Feb. 14 2018. Free parking is available in parking lots on either side of the ice rink and on North Park Drive.

The owner himself Paul a "great guy by the way" took the time out and corrected all the defective parts in all my gear. As I went to reach to pay for all the parts he used on my gear. All he wanted in return was for to have a good time at the Playground. I usually don't right reviews however, the customer service and customer satisfaction that is provided at the Playground is excellent. I highly recommend paint balling at PLAYGROUND.

I purchased a Groupon for Playground Paintball Park and called them 4 times to make sure that I…read moreclearly understood the offer. I spoke with the owner (Paul) each time. I was told that the offer did not include air or paintballs. I asked and was told that paintballs were $60 for a case (2000 paintballs). Long story short when I arrived with a party of 12, since I bought a Groupon, I was not permitted to purchase paintballs by the case, but had to buy a case of paintballs at a more expense price (500 paintballs for $20). After talking with the owner about the discrepancy, he repeatedly told me that no one has ever complained about this. Because no one has complained, does not make this practice transparent. He stated that the paintball purchasing price should have been listed on the Groupon. I agreed, but it was not on the Groupon and a month later, it still is not on the Groupon. I enjoyed the field and the staff, but I was asking to be refunded the extra $60 that I spent on paintballs or be offered a credit. The owner refused. I do not begrudge a company to make money for a service provided, but just be upfront and Playground Paintball Park was not! I will take my business elsewhere!
