Surprisingly large and filled with excellent shops and eateries. You can't really go wrong with any, I'd say grab something from several and share.

Now this is a legit market! Reminds me of living in DTLA and going to Grand Central Market. So many people, so many food options, so many places to try. We tried ice cream from Bassetts and it was ok. We also go donuts from Beilers and some of them were very good and standard, and the weird looking ones were super weird. Great place to warm up at when it is cold too. Tons of people in Phillies gear before the game. And lots of people hanging out enjoying beers.

Wow! Talk about so many cultures in one spot! Food choices from Asian, Greek, halal, African, American, etc. Fresh markets, produce stand, and boutiques to shop from too. Small tip: Keep your wallet in your front pocket and purse near you and you'll be fine from pick pocketers.

Of course they had a place whipping up grilled phillycheese steak sandwiches big enough to share. Enjoyed the variety, Caribbean restaurants, seafood, Italian, Mediterranean, Spanish, a really great home baked cookie place, cakes and coffees. I even hung out in the botanical herb shop. I was surprised how cheap things were. Giant home baked cookies were 2.00 or a bundle was cheaper. They had about 30 flavors. The Italian place called by George was great. Lasagna, egg plant Parmesan, breaded eggplant slice was $2.66. They had sides of spinach and other items. They had single breaded chicken cutlets that looked great. I got a delish piece of pineapple cornbread at a Jamaican type grill. I got little random choices at about 4-5 places. They had beautiful flowers for sale like white sunflower singles and also cupcakes, cannolis. They had fish places selling whole fishes on ice too. Most of the entree or platter plates were $14-16. These places prefer cash too! Bring $20 or so

Reading Terminal has everything you need, unironically they have a lot of options in there. From jerky to juice to donuts to cup coasters. It's beautiful inside, nice to walk around and check out what's available. Keep in mind it does get crowded so be patient.

I absolutely love coming here! There's such a great variety of shops and food vendors!! One of my favorite stops is Uncle Gus for their cheesesteaks. I love adding the sweet peppers! I'm usually not a fan of sesame seed rolls, but the flavors of the meat and toppings balances everything out perfectly. I also picked up some banana pudding from Sweet Nina's, and it was yummy! The only downside to my visit at SN-was the staff member who took my order wasn't very friendly. Maybe she wasn't a good day. I also grabbed some smoked cheddar from Riehl Deli that was outstanding. So creamy and addictive!! I should've bought more. Definitely one of my favorite places to visit when in Philly.

Dining area in the market. Real estate is tough; be ready to stand around waiting for people to finish their meals.

HUGE market with food options for everyone! It will be crowded. You will have to hover around the limited tables and be ready to pounce when someone leaves. A kind lady saw me hovering with my kids and beckoned us to sit in the one spare seat at her table and then they finished and left a minute later. Be courteous of your time and try not to sweat it if you can't make it. The bathrooms are in the back corner area. Plenty of toilets, but it's a little scungy with wet floors. At least the one changing table in the men's room seemed clean enough and in working order. Tourists, yes, they have cheesesteaks at a few stalls (even one of the vegan stands has their version). There are several delis and even a few shops to buy knickknacks or candy. Prices will vary from stall to stall, but overall, the prices are pretty reasonable. But plus that these are all independent; no chains allowed! Worth a visit.

Finally made a trip here after several visits to Philly. There is literally something for everyone! This place is like a foodie heaven! Yes, you can get cheesesteaks here. I enjoyed ice-cream from Bassets and pizza from By George while here. It was on a Saturday so it was very busy. Parking is limited. I can't wait to visit again.

Very busy but very fun market to explore with dozens of food stall options to try. We settled on Angelo's for a Philly cheesesteak and I can't remember the name of the place I got my turkey sandwich but it was some sort of bakery that also had bagel sandwiches. Massive portions, definately could split with someone. Not many places to sit so we went to the nearby concrete park. A must see for visiting Philly!!

The building is huge so you can easily spend a whole day inside. All staff were super helpful and the wares were so tempting to buy!

This market honestly has one of the best selections in the country! They have cheesesteaks, Asian food and a wide variety from different cuisines. The service is usually fast and efficient. Just be aware that they are often very busy to the point that it's hard to move around. And a lot of the options are closed on Sunday or Monday (dinic's as an example). But none of this will stop me from coming back every time I'm in Philly! It's a rite of passage.

This market is just....everything lmao. We've eaten here five times in four days because why wouldn't you?! It's seriously one of the single best things in Philidelphia and possibly the east coast. The market is awesome and if you don't make time to come here you're insane. The food and stuff available is all amazing and the energy of the place is second to none. It's one of the oldest and longest operating markets in USA history with good reason. It's just freaking awesome here. An absolute must visit bar none!

Very cool place to check out! So many food options! From cheese to pastries, meat counters to cheesesteaks, and more! DH Cheesesteaks - right next to another "popular" cheesesteak spot, but didn't have as long of a line so we opted for quick and really glad we did! The cheesesteaks were cheesy, not dry and the bread was really good! would definitely come back! Riehl Deli and Cheese shop - their customer service is top tier! Samples are put out and everything was so good! ended up getting their garlicky dill spread on their wheat thins was 10 out of 10! Prices are excellent as well. Definitely a must stop at when I'm in town. Termini Bros bakery - the almond croissant was so dang good, and all the other pastry and sweets options looked phenomenal! Can't wait to come back and try more!

Best places to eat at reading terminal?

It all depends on what you're into I personally like Fox and sons corn dogs, As far as dessert I love 4th Street cookie

Is there seating so like everyone in my group can get food from different stalls and eat together?

Yes but seating is limited and might get packed or you might have to sit in smaller groups based on availability.

    Where do I park?

You may be able to get street parking or there are a few garages right by the market (12th street, arch street, filbert street)

Do they have souvenir shops in this market? Keychains, t-shirts, etc.?

Some but a large mall very close by.

Where is the closest budget friendly parking garage nearby RT? Thank you for your help!

There are two places that advertise cheap (with validation) 2 hour parking. One is at the Hilton Garage at 11th and Arch and they advertise $4.00 for 2 hr., the other one is the Parkway Garage at 12th and Filbert. They advertise $5.00 for 2 Hr. I've… Read more

Best Philly cheesesteak in reading Terminal Market? If there is only one what's the name of it? I'm just trying to go in and out here without getting mesmerized by everything. Thank you!

At RT I would go to Dinics for a roast pork. For a good cheesesteak I would walk over to Steve's Steaks at 16th and Chestnut.

A bit wayyyyy too many apples for it so early in the season tbh. Some saving graces is the apple cider taste like a bite into a fresh apple. Def find a vendor and try out . The veggies were a bit sad. Not too many vendors selling greens and the selection was nonexistent. The other side was lined with tents selling like pasta, protein, premade, packed goods. Again with little variety and like maybe 1 vendor per good or like 2 at max. Maybe my standards are high since I've gone to many farmers markets in California but it's very much not a market were you can go and buy all the ingredients for the week. It's a lot more buy and snack for a light snack vibes. Disappointing for how hyped it was online.

Once in a while I would get something that was not as fresh, but it was very rare. Philly Foodworks is unique among csa-type distributors because they have a full online grocery store you can shop from, whether you're getting a produce box or not. I was able to get almost all of my groceries each week from Philly Foodworks with their numerous options. If you shop around, you can find really affordable items as well. Subscriptions for eggs, dairy, and meat offer further discounts. In general, I ended up spending as much, or a tad less, than I would for the same items from an actual grocery store. I only ever shopped online, but I believe they also have a store front you can go to if that option is better for you. They deliver right to your doorstep for a small fee and the actual process of getting groceries/subscriptions was always a breeze. The quality of the food cannot be overstated. Once you go direct from the farm, it's hard to go back to the tasteless big-box grocery store produce. The eggs and milk were also amazing, as was the beef. Last but not least, they're a great organization with increasing access, sustainability, and regenerative farming practices at the root of everything they do.

This was huge for me during the cucumber and tomato's recalls two summers ago as I was pregnant and would only eat produce from Phillyfoodworks. I also appreciate the variety of other options they provide. The fresh pasta is delicious and Im a huge fan of the chicken sausages. The customer service is also great and very responsive. Nestled side by side with the 'Christmas Village' market the Made in Philly has many small stalls selling candles, clothes, ornaments, food drink both hard and soft, and is a great place to shop for the season. While the 'the Christmas Village is more international and mass produced. Made in Philly is, as the name implies more local business and more artesian. If you're looking for that holiday something that screams local pride, this is it! Besides being smaller than the Christmas village the Made in Philly market is a little more relaxed. There are more areas to sit down and let your mind wander and abutting the Rothman ice rink you're not just limited to shopping and dining. I would recommend going during the day and going early in the season as the site gets busier in the evenings as commutes stop off and on the weekends. You may also find stocks not dwindling as the season rolls on as these are produced locally. Afterall it's easier to get a shipment in from Fishtown than something going to the Christmas Village from Dresden or Stockholm! Also they do not seem to have the problems with a uniform form of payment that is a both in the Christmas village. The one real downside here is the limited selection. While smaller than the Xmas Village there is also a sameness to some of the stalls, there's only so much you can do with scented candles.

A good number of visitors not masking. I highly recommend using the portapotties outside rather than the bathrooms inside, as the portapotties were surprisingly very clean and had no line, while the indoor bathroom had a long line of 50% unmasked individuals and some stalls had no toilet paper. Loud music may make this less than ideal for people with babies.
