A Must-Visit Philly Gem! Reading Terminal Market is an absolute gem! We visited on a busy Sunday, but the high energy made it even more fun. Our food highlights: Molly Malloy's: Great spot to sit down, relax, and grab a bite. Hershel's East Side Deli: Do not skip this! Watching them hand-carve the hot, tender meat right in front of you is amazing, and the sandwich was massive and delicious. Termini Bros Bakery: The ultimate sweet finish. They pipe the cream into the cannoli shell right when you order, keeping it amazingly fresh and crisp. Tips: Come Hungry: Pace yourself because you will want to try everything. Parking Hack: Make sure to validate your parking ticket at the market to knock off about $25!

8/18/2026 Wow what a sight to see and such a short walk to get there. This place is huge and really has something for everyone. I've never seen so much fresh produce, meats seafoods, goodies, smoothies you name it they got it. Plenty of food stalls and a bar in the back. I had a fantastic time just walking around taking it all in. Looking forward to coming back to try out all the things including those oysters

A must visit if staying in the area. Bring your spending money! You will find a lot to smile about! I must recommend DNics roast pork! Clean bathrooms. Friendly staff working in the place. Get a donut. Get a cookie. Enjoy! Respectfully

A friend of mine needed some hydration so we came to the Reading market for the best Philly experience!! So we got two chocolate chip cookies and two bottles of root beer. Apparently, we needed a sugar rush! And we got a burst of energy, and it was quite delightful to see the energy at Reading terminal market! As soon as we walked in the door, it was pretty exciting because it was a Philly cheesesteak restaurant, and there were crowds waiting to try their food. We walked past that, and passed the Greek market to the baked goods and soda area that also had wonderful Philly T-shirts and stationary. Great service and no lines there!! I look forward to coming again!!

Open patio type seating with a collaboration of eateries. The main reason we came here was to try Uncle Gus' Steaks where we had the famous Philly Cheese Steak that did live up to the hype. The market was extremely congested with hungry customers. After the cheese steaks we had gooey warm cookies and sampled a variety of olive oil. If you are ok with rubbing elbows with lots of humans and love food then check out this spot when in Philly.

Raw onions and a Coke complete the scene!

Uncle Gus' uses the most amazing seeded hard rolls, making their sandwiches better than the others.

First time visiting here while being in Philly, and inside is just so cute! I picked up a nice visual map from the info desk and found a few places I was interested in visiting. They have dining areas to sit down and eat, or you can eat your food while walking around. Either way, it was the place to be. I can see people spending their entire day here, and absolutely loving it :) They have AC on inside and you just can't complain. I visited three places: Fox and Son, Miller's Twist, and Bassetts Ice Cream. At Fox and Son, I tried their veggie cheddar jalapeño plant-based corn dog, which was yummy but very messy to eat. The pretzel line at Miller's was long but moved pretty fast. I got a regular pretzel and was mind blown at how fresh, soft, and delicious it was! Lastly, had to grab some ice cream to stay cool in the heat. The nice gentleman allowed me to sample two flavors before I decided to get a scoop each in a cup: English Toffee and Butterscotch Vanilla. I really enjoyed the crunch in the English Toffee. It felt really good eating it outside in the heat.

FYI, Reading is pronounced "REDDING" - rhymes with sledding. Reading Terminal Market is worth a visit. Did you know that a non-profit runs the Reading Terminal? Did you know there are *zero* corporate chain businesses there? Just independent shops, many family-owned. Get ice cream, coffee, lunch, dinner, groceries, you name it. Think you know their hours? Back then the Market was open until 5pm. Now they're open until 6! And for a limited time (until end of July), there'll be a few evenings where they stay open until *7*: https://www.instagram.com/p/DZBN7YuGXV8/ Heard about the new outdoor Plaza? It's a brightly-lit seating area with a center bar. Find it on the south side of the Market, open 11am-7pm daily during Summer 2026: https://www.instagram.com/p/DZXy24Tx_sP/ (SO happy Filbert Street is pedestrian-only during this period.) On Instagram? Follow @rdgterminalmkt since someone took @readingterminalmarket already. Their social media team should really scoop up @readingterminalmarket.philly eh?

Now this is a legit market! Reminds me of living in DTLA and going to Grand Central Market. So many people, so many food options, so many places to try. We tried ice cream from Bassetts and it was ok. We also go donuts from Beilers and some of them were very good and standard, and the weird looking ones were super weird. Great place to warm up at when it is cold too. Tons of people in Phillies gear before the game. And lots of people hanging out enjoying beers.

Wow! Talk about so many cultures in one spot! Food choices from Asian, Greek, halal, African, American, etc. Fresh markets, produce stand, and boutiques to shop from too. Small tip: Keep your wallet in your front pocket and purse near you and you'll be fine from pick pocketers.

I absolutely love coming here! There's such a great variety of shops and food vendors!! One of my favorite stops is Uncle Gus for their cheesesteaks. I love adding the sweet peppers! I'm usually not a fan of sesame seed rolls, but the flavors of the meat and toppings balances everything out perfectly. I also picked up some banana pudding from Sweet Nina's, and it was yummy! The only downside to my visit at SN-was the staff member who took my order wasn't very friendly. Maybe she wasn't a good day. I also grabbed some smoked cheddar from Riehl Deli that was outstanding. So creamy and addictive!! I should've bought more. Definitely one of my favorite places to visit when in Philly.

Of course they had a place whipping up grilled phillycheese steak sandwiches big enough to share. Enjoyed the variety, Caribbean restaurants, seafood, Italian, Mediterranean, Spanish, a really great home baked cookie place, cakes and coffees. I even hung out in the botanical herb shop. I was surprised how cheap things were. Giant home baked cookies were 2.00 or a bundle was cheaper. They had about 30 flavors. The Italian place called by George was great. Lasagna, egg plant Parmesan, breaded eggplant slice was $2.66. They had sides of spinach and other items. They had single breaded chicken cutlets that looked great. I got a delish piece of pineapple cornbread at a Jamaican type grill. I got little random choices at about 4-5 places. They had beautiful flowers for sale like white sunflower singles and also cupcakes, cannolis. They had fish places selling whole fishes on ice too. Most of the entree or platter plates were $14-16. These places prefer cash too! Bring $20 or so

Dining area in the market. Real estate is tough; be ready to stand around waiting for people to finish their meals.

HUGE market with food options for everyone! It will be crowded. You will have to hover around the limited tables and be ready to pounce when someone leaves. A kind lady saw me hovering with my kids and beckoned us to sit in the one spare seat at her table and then they finished and left a minute later. Be courteous of your time and try not to sweat it if you can't make it. The bathrooms are in the back corner area. Plenty of toilets, but it's a little scungy with wet floors. At least the one changing table in the men's room seemed clean enough and in working order. Tourists, yes, they have cheesesteaks at a few stalls (even one of the vegan stands has their version). There are several delis and even a few shops to buy knickknacks or candy. Prices will vary from stall to stall, but overall, the prices are pretty reasonable. But plus that these are all independent; no chains allowed! Worth a visit.

Best places to eat at reading terminal?

It all depends on what you're into I personally like Fox and sons corn dogs, As far as dessert I love 4th Street cookie

Is there seating so like everyone in my group can get food from different stalls and eat together?

Yes but seating is limited and might get packed or you might have to sit in smaller groups based on availability.

    Where do I park?

You may be able to get street parking or there are a few garages right by the market (12th street, arch street, filbert street)

Do they have souvenir shops in this market? Keychains, t-shirts, etc.?

Some but a large mall very close by.

Where is the closest budget friendly parking garage nearby RT? Thank you for your help!

There are two places that advertise cheap (with validation) 2 hour parking. One is at the Hilton Garage at 11th and Arch and they advertise $4.00 for 2 hr., the other one is the Parkway Garage at 12th and Filbert. They advertise $5.00 for 2 Hr. I've…
