Set right in downtown Davidson across from Davidson College, the atmosphere strikes that perfect balance--lively but still intimate. The menu evolves frequently, so what we saw differed from what's posted online--but that turned out to be part of the charm. Everything sounded appealing, and choosing wasn't difficult. Our server stood out immediately--deeply knowledgeable and able to walk through each dish with impressive detail, right down to preparation. It's easy to see why Kindred earned "Recommended" status in the inaugural Michelin Guide American South and continues to be recognized for top-tier hospitality and cuisine. We started with the Little Gem lettuce salad--fresh, bright, and elevated by the perfect crunch and subtle richness of pistachios. For my entrée, I had the rigatoni with guanciale, English peas, and pecorino sardo--rich, balanced, and full of flavor without being heavy. A memorable meal all around.

There were 7 of us in our party for a birthday. I will def be back for dinner! and even to just sit at the bar- drinks were great! I had the Oaxaca flocks- mezcal with pineapple concoction. My cousin had something with gin and sage and her husband had an herbaceous drink with bourbon. To eat, We had the pickles, fried oysters, duck fat fries, momo chicken salad and cinnamon rolls! omg so good! I had the shrimp roll- a lobster roll but made with shrimp. Flavorful, light and refreshing! Everyone was happy.

This is a multi-purpose space, mostly functioning as leased office and/or desk space for businesses…read moreand new entrepreneurs in the area. It is also a work/study space for student of Davidson College. Flywheel Co-Working operates here. Common area in the front is open to the public during business hours. Conference rooms with smart TV's can be rented at an hourly rate. The large common room in the front of the building can be rented for private/work events as well. Many seminars take place at the hub. If your business needs a physical address but you don't want to rent an office or have mail sent to your home address, you can rent a mailbox to have your mail sent to a physical address. Coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and kombucha can be purchased by anyone visiting the space (and for those who rent office space, everything but the Kombucha is included in your monthly rental fee. Free beer for Flywheel Members, too. Wohoo! Usually something local and great.) This space has two large bathrooms and also a unisex bathroom. Generally speaking, this is a gorgeous and modern space, complete with West Elm furniture, sleek wood and tile finishes, and exposed brick walls that nod to the history held in this building. The business I work for leases office space from Flywheel, and we love it. Great opportunity!

When she let us know, I explained that I was already in the middle of a meeting and asked if I could have 30 minutes to finish before moving, especially since no one was waiting to use the room and it was otherwise completely empty. Instead of handling the situation with even basic kindness or professionalism, she was extremely rude, unfriendly, and dismissive. She interrupted my meeting multiple times, demanding that I leave immediately, despite my explaining that I was actively on a work call. I ultimately had to close the door just so I could finish my meeting without being interrupted again. I completely understand that certain rooms may be reserved and would have had absolutely no issue moving once that was explained to me. The problem was entirely in **how** the situation was handled. There was no reason to speak to us so disrespectfully over an honest mistake, particularly when the room wasn't even needed at that moment. Customer service and basic kindness go a long way. Unfortunately, this interaction made what otherwise could have been a perfectly normal experience incredibly uncomfortable and unwelcoming. I would not return based on how we were treated.

Easy to find heading east from the interstate on Plaza Drive / Hwy 150, less than a mile after the bend and set back a little from the street. Big fountain up front (which may or may not be gurgling) and plenty of parking in a lot shared with the funeral home around back. The facility itself is clean, simple, and medium fancy; suitable for quiet dignified affairs but easily dressed up for elegance or extravagance and there's a patio around the fountain if the weather is agreeable, also has a large canopied entrance fronting a foyer if the weather turns foul. The kitchen is equipped with coolers, heaters, ice machine and dish washer to handle your food service needs. Last time in was for an anniversary party seating 100+ people plus a two-line buffet with space enough for dancing and cavorting into the evening. I can't say as how I cared much for the music selection but that's more on the hostess than the facility.

We found The Heritage House via google. Our first contact was with a very pleasant woman named Andrea. She answered every question I had without rushing me and then offered a tour of the event space. The Venue was very easy to locate and looked nice from the outside with a big fountain out front Perfect for pictures. When we first walked in the building it smelt and looked very clean(which was very important to me). Andrea was as pleasant in person as on the phone and everything she said about the space was accurate from the big screen TVs and kitchen to a sound system and other modern amenities. Simply put this Venue was everything we were looking for to make our special day amazing, Thank you Andrea and Heritage House LaDonnia and Jeffrey
