Now, Eat doesn't escape any of these flaws. It doesn't feel like part of Brighton, and it doesn't feel interesting or special. The items sold in Eat can be purchased almost anywhere. That said, the items sold in Eat happen to be quite good. Sandwiches are freshly made here, aren't too expensive, and are available in a range of different flavours. The drinks selection is ok, and features some nice choices, such as shandies and fruit juices. The service is friendly, and there are many cakes and snack choices, such as crisps, available for your consumption. Thus, consequently I am forced to admit that, whilst Eat is sadly yet another rampaging chain, hellbent on sucking the independence out of quaint little towns everywhere, what it does, it does well. Have been in a few times on the way to dance class and did once again yesterday evening. The coffee is lovely, I ordered a latte with a double shot. Sometimes at other coffee places getting double shot can make a latte bitter which is a shame because I enjoy the intensity of a double shot in my coffee. Here at cafe coho the coffee is lovely and smooth and no hint of bitterness. I thoroughly enjoy it and can see myself regularly getting off the bus a couple of stops early in order to grab a coffee here and walk a little bit further to get to class. The staff are always very friendly also. Yesterday they had an oreo brownie which looked amazing which I refrained from buying given that I was on my way to dance class, but if they have it again next time I'm wandering around shopping I will definitely try it!

They said that if it is not mentioned on the phone when you order then it cannot be honoured, even if you pay on collection. They didn't acknowledge that they didn't mention this to me on the phone. Considering their proximity to the hospital it would be nice if they were more forthcoming with their discount or at least more flexible. All it took was for them to reprint a receipt !!
