Below par food and management. They make excuses not to fulfill orders and cancel them.

They serve some of the best Shrimp based pasta dishes we've ever had, always perfectly cooked....Try "Shrimp Florentino" or their popular "Chef's Favorite." Want extra Shrimp and/or mushrooms added to your dish, for a reasonable price? Just ask! They also serve their always popular, Meat Lasagna as well as Spaghetti w/Meat Sauce. Luigi's also has a nice selection of wines along with their popular Italian themed desserts to enhance your dining experience even further. Downtown Winfield is truly fortunate to have this authentic, Italian home food, eatery that's opened for lunch & dinner, Tuesday through Sunday. Enjoy a meal there soon!

It was supposed to have capers but somehow they forgot the capers. Chicken in this dish amounted to approximately2 oz. I'm not exaggerating. The bread served at our table could've been a whole lot better. Not hot and very little flavor. The same with my chicken dish. I'm not sure how people think this place is good. Just zero flavor, and below average food. I will not ever go here again. It's hard to screw up Italian food but this place manages to do it. If they want pointers, go to another Italian restaurant in a smallish town, Napoli's in Ponca City. I don't even care for the ambiance at Napoli's and the food isn't even top notch, but it's WAY better than Luigi's in Winfield. Just drive 30 minutes either way and you'd be eating better food and not wasting your money.

The pizza was "warm" not hot and if we are judging overall quality was sub-par. The crust was too thin and crispy while the sauce to cheese to meat ratio was way off. The sauce also was not flavorful and all the ingredients felt low quality. It was like eating lightly sauced cardboard masquerading as pizza. The spaghetti was also "warm" not hot and it is clear they use the same sauce for the spaghetti as for the pizza, not good. Sad because if it had salt and a few spices it might have been good as the spaghetti wasn't over cooked as I have found at many places. Service: 3/5 The entire staff could not have had anyone over 20 and though they had pep, they also gave sus vibes when we came to dine in an hour out from closing. Not giving demure or casual hospitality at all. After trying my best to goad them into a more generous ambiance they warmed up a bit but still, a very mid experience overall. Ambiance: 2.5/5 What you would expect from a local pizza parlor. Not great but the employees seemed to be having a good time and that made the atmosphere better in my opinion, than the lackluster dated 80's decor and shabby vibes would normally have given.

Il Vicino is one of our favorite "chain" pizza spots (Il Vicino is a small chain that spans 3-4…read moreStates). In my opinion, there are 3 requirements that make a great pizza; fresh ingredients, dough flavor, and how it's cooked. Il Vicino almost always knocks it out of the park with those requirements. The ingredients are almost always (more on this later) fresh tasting, the dough flavor is absolutely delicious, and the woodfire cook is my favorite way to enjoy pizza, and it makes the place smell so good. I have never ordered anything other than pizza from Il Vicino, but my wife has had the pasta on a few occasions and I have sampled it. On one occasion she ordered the alfredo, and the pasta was well made and well flavored...it doesn't taste fresh-made, but still good. The alfredo sauce has good flavor, but is also unlikely made fresh in house and was runnier than I prefer. We've never tried their panini's or soups, but I've had almost every pizza on the menu. In dozens of visits, we've only had 2 experiences that were underwhelming. One time the pizza was simply undercooked...the flavors were on point, but it just needed a few more minutes in the oven. When a manager came by to check on us, I mentioned it to him, and he gave us 50% off the price after confirming that we declined having them to make us a new pizza. On the other occasion, something was clearly off with the freshness of the mushrooms...it almost seemed as if they had run out of their normal mushrooms, and instead of 86-ing them they ran to the store and bought canned. That said, it's only happened once, and I can forgive singular bad experiences. In terms of overall freshness of ingredients, you can tell that they're not the highest quality in the world, but they don't taste canned or frozen, and given the prices, I can live with "good quality." Which brings us to price. Prices are more than fair, and portions are appropriate for 1-2 people to enjoy a single pizza. Our family of 4 can usually eat there for under $30, sharing 2 pizzas that taste miles better than the national chains.
