We stopped in for a light lunch while driving thru the area. I got soup and salad combo and Mom got soup only. The house salad was huge! I had pictured a little bowl of salad -- NOPE! It had a good amount of toppings on it and the cheese was very tasty. Next was the tortilla soup. I was a little disappointed that they put the tortilla strips at the bottom of the bowl but otherwise it was delicious. A tad spicy, but not overwhelming. The combo was great. A piece of bread would have been nice or some crackers (I know there were croutons on the salad). Mom had clam chowder, it did come with a packet of crackers. She said it was okay, not the best, but still was happy with it and ate part of my salad. The service was EXTREMELY friendly! If we didn't need to be on the road for another 3 or 4 hours we would have loved to try a bigger meal and dessert. read more

I've eaten at BJ's Brewhouse before and had much better experiences, which made this visit especially disappointing. It seems like the quality of both the service and food has gone downhill. We started with chips as an appetizer, which came out fairly quickly, but then waited nearly 50 minutes for just two hamburgers. What made the wait even more frustrating was that the restaurant wasn't very busy. It honestly felt like we had been forgotten while other tables around us were receiving their food and drinks much more quickly. When the burgers finally arrived, they lacked the flavor I expected from a restaurant with such a nice atmosphere. The food tasted very basic and reminded me of generic Sysco-style food rather than something freshly prepared. The service issues continued with dessert. It took about 20 minutes just to place an order for a Pizookie, and then another 15 minutes for it to arrive. Unfortunately, it was small, overcooked, and noticeably burnt. What really made the experience disappointing was the value. We spent around $30 per person, and when you're paying that much for a meal, you expect attentive service and food that stands out. Instead, we got long waits, average food, and a dessert that wasn't worth the extra time or money. Looking back, we probably should have chosen another restaurant. For the amount we spent, we could have gone somewhere like Texas Roadhouse and likely received better food, faster service, and a better overall experience. It's unfortunate because we've enjoyed eating at BJ's in the past, but this visit left us feeling like the restaurant has gone downhill. Gathered for a family meal with folks coming from Hutch, Bel-Air, and Oklahoma City. There were eight of us and we ordered various things from the menu. Particularly nice was the $13 lunch meal deal that comes with a Pizookie, one of their freshly baked cookies topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Everyone pretty much enjoyed their meal, although I ordered the soup and salad and I will say their clam chowder soup is rather thin anymore. It used to be thick and rich and hearty, but today's serving was rather watered down and not very tasty. As far as service goes, our Server was attentive when she was at our table. It's just trying to find any server in the place was like looking for hen's teeth. Especially since there weren't that many patrons at the time to be served. I wanted a to go box for the last of my cookie, and I finally sent one of the younger members of our table to go find one for me. Parking outside is plentiful and no issue. In the restaurant, being mostly empty, it was pretty quiet because I know when it gets busy it could be quite loud. We had a relaxed lunch and enjoyed catching up with each other. read more

After landing on a flight, I called here at 11:43 PM and asked if they were taking to-go orders still. They said it was about to be last call, I wasn't sure what I wanted so I asked if I could call right back after checking the menu. They said yes. When I called back, the girl on the phone was very pleasant and didn't rush me at all. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by Evan who was very friendly. He even offered us a soda while we waited for our food. The service was honestly so excellent for it being the end of their shift. While we waited the bartender also checked if we'd been helped. The inside was clean and a few people were still seated. Once we got back to our hotel we dug into our food and it hit the spot! I highly recommend this friendly location! read more

A party of 4 of us ate there last night. We got there right at 6 and it wasn't yet too busy. Our order was taken fairly quickly but then it went downhill. It took a very long time to get our food. We were watching others be seated after us and getting their food before us. When we did get our food, the salad and soup came out about 30 seconds before our entrees. One order was not correct and had to be sent back - came out again and still was not correct but we just kept it. The food was just okay - nothing special. We did not get offered refills on our water and had to flag down the server. The gave us room temp water refills and were annoyed we asked for ice. The food was hot and the lunch portion was a decent size. I had the chicken Parmesan with Alfredo instead of the regular spaghetti on the side unfortunately, when I made that substitution, they didn't put the red sauce on the chicken Parmesan, but it was still delicious. I got the triple chocolate Pazooki and the chocolate ice cream was rich creamy delicious, and lots of mini chocolate chips on the side well worth the price. The order was to go. The food is far superior than most and so is the deserts, even if on a budget the prices are great. After a day in Wichita having homemade food here slapped (harder than Will Smith slapped Chris Rock) I got a California Chicken Club sandwich with pickles and Craft Brewed root beer and It was so delicious!! I had half of the sandwich left over cause it was so filling which is nice. I'm so disappointed in BJ's. I had stopped ordering from here a few months ago because they kept getting my order wrong. It is my birthday weekend, and I figured I would give them another chance and ordered a side of salmon and asparagus. As I was eating the salmon, I noticed it started tasting weird. It was undercooked. I hope I don't get sick. Reply to BJ's Guest Service: I'm a frequent customer and know the process. I hadn't eaten here for 10 years, and someone in my family wanted to try it. Tuesday night, 7PM, the place was about 1/3rd full. We waited an inordinate amount of time for someone to show up to the front hostess stand, only to tell us we were free to pick our own spot at the bar (which we asked for). Our waitress was sweet and responsive. She didn't do the greatest job at clearing empty glasses/plates, but not a big deal. I had the ahi tuna salad. It was really tasty, but the tuna was VERY strong. Like, I had to decide if it was actually edible or not. I continued eating it, hoping each piece would be 'normal', but nope. All nasty. Another person has a similar dish with tuna, and had better luck, but noted several pieces were also very fishy. The tomatoes on the salad were also fairly mushy, so overall, the dish wasn't so hot. I noticed the manager walking around, but not stopping to speak to anyone. Additionally, the waitress did not ask how our food was either, and I felt uncomfortable complaining, especially since I ate the whole thing. Great lesson for restaurants - ASK. That all being said, the visit was just ok. There were crumpled up napkins under our table, and the high-tops at the bar are simply too close together. They need to take out one table and spread them out a bit. Also, the bathrooms had an odor to them, and lots of towels on the floor. So, not bad, but we won't be back any time soon. Arrived at 6 pm. There were 5 of us. I ordered the special 2 bone in pork chops. (The last 3 times i visited they had sold out so we arrived earlier than the last). Guess what? They were sold out by 6pm. The Saturday night special was sold out. I changed my order to the prime rib special. The rest of my family placed their order of soup and salads and chicken pasta. About 10 minutes later the waitress brought out my prime rib and my granddaughters chicken pasta. Now I may be old fashioned but I prefer my salad prior to my entree. I asked the waitress about my salad and she said "you haven't gotten your salad yet?" No, I replied. She said " we can put your prime rib back in the kitchen and I'll bring you a salad". I said forget the salad, I prefer my prime rib medium rare and I could imagine getting in back after I she brought me a salad and I ate it. So, I also ordered a loaded potato, I received a "dry" potato. Again I hollered at the waitress and asked about the potato trimmings. Oh, by the way probably 10 minutes had gone by since my granddaughter and I received our plates and my wife, daughter and son in law had not gotten their soup and salads! I flagged down the manager, he said he'd check on our order. He never came back. About 3-4 minutes later the waitress came with the rest of our meal. What a circus! Needless to say I will not be returning to BJ's ever again! Management and common sense does not exist at this location! read more

We waited at the hostess stand way too long to be seated and we were the only ones waiting. Other employees just walked by and ignored us. Restaurant was not busy. The hostess was absolutely the worst. She sat us without more than a "this way." The table needed a wipe down as it still had food on it. This was obviously a big chore for her as she walked away and came back with a rag and cleaner. Then proceeded to SPRAY THE CLEANER ON THE TABLE WITH US SITTING AT IT, so we were sprayed too. I was a bit shocked by it. Pizza plates also came out greasy. Our waitress, Nikki, was very pleasant and the only good thing about this meal. She was attentive and provided great service. When our food arrived, the fries were definitely not fresh and had been sitting under a heat lamp for a good while, burgers and warm sandwiches came cold, and the BJs "special" cole slaw was tasteless. It was completely dry. Had we not driven all day and we're just passing through, I would have made more of a fuss with management. But, I didn't have the energy. Hopefully, they see this. Again, maybe it always is and I just didn't know. I wish I'd gone with the salmon - I've had that before and it's delicious. The Hopstorm and asparagus were good. The service was fair. Our service was friendly and helpful if a bit scattered. Some of the entrees are a bit pricey for a chain restaurant, so I stuck with a burger, which I really had no complaints about. And the fries were tasty too. This isn't a bad option for beers, appetizers, and a casual dinner out, but I do think you can get better for less elsewhere in Wichita. read more
