This place can be easily missed if you're along Sucat road because it's quite discreet-looking and has no parking. But inside is a different story--the vibe is reminiscent of Bellini's. It's cozy, homey, and filled with Italian-themed decor, a leaning tower of Pisa, and so on. You'll forget that you're in bustling, polluted Sucat road! We got the Aglia Oglio Pasta, and a Mushroom Risotto (that they made vegan just for me! Just ask nicely). Both dishes were really topnotch and exceeded our expectations (though to be honest, we had none at this particular time. I mean, any meal after a 10-hour trip from Vigan, Ilocos will be satisfying). Their servers are very accommodating, and at that time they were offering us these really fresh, gigantic portobello mushrooms they had that looked so tempting (but were quite pricey--though to be honest, I STILL think about that moment. What if we had gotten those mushrooms?!?! WHAT IF). Just like Bellini's, at the end of your meal you are treated to a complimentary jigger of Italian sweet wine. Bellisimo!

The bar has a nice stock. The wine selection is fair. There is an upstairs private area. French head chef with another chef. Definitely a 4 to 5 star restuarant. The service was excellent and the food tasted real good, and was absolutely the finest authentic Italian and not a want-a-be. You will think you are in Rome and not the Philippines.. And the desserts ? I say order two they are that good they not only look good but taste fantastic. I almost licked my plate to get to the sugar decorations. Presentation well just look at the photos. And the ambiance, decor was one of a kind. The restaurant was not very big and it has stairs to no where are part of the decor. and the noise level is on the high side. Be sure to get the cappuccino, and a little wink will get you some sambuca. The cost was pricey for Angeles City but cheap compare to New York, about $20 a person without any wine.

Really little has changed, the service and food is still subpar and overpriced. Yes, they have moved from the original hotel location to the new building but really no improvement. It is a much longer walk now to the parking because the whole complex is set up for the gambling, they really don't care about the food or the comfort of those dinning, just get the money. Lets's set the record straight here, they do not serve pizza, or anything like pizza, their Chef Chris roll ups are not pizza, and not good at all. Service is very slow, even in an empty restaurant. The soup was a very small amount and tasted like packaged freeze-dried soup. The lamb was not tender and overcooked. And why call it Amare by Chef Chris? He died long before the current location was ever built, even going back to his early restaurant C Italian, on Don Juico Ave, when he was cooking his food was not good and his customer service was even worse. If you want to overpay and get bad food with poor service, then come here, you will not be disappointed. Amare by Chef Chris should follow the lead of its namesake and RIP. It could be considered a public service.

One pizza had truffles, and it was average. But I came for the premium pepperoni pizza. How can you mess a simple pepperoni pizza. By having no flavor on the dough and lacking salt (not sure if it was fresh dough, but for the price, it should). The pizza is thick on the edges, but very thin in the center. For a pizza to be thin, I would expect crispy crust. It fell down on this, it was soggy, see my image. The worst, and serious violation was the can mushrooms on the pizza, horrible.
