Fun fact: Guthrie's was my college foodie favorite in Tallahassee, FL. Seeing this location on our route (when we stopped for gas) gave me all the nostalgia feels and we had to pull over, STAT! The hubs had never heard of Guthrie's, but graciously accompanied me on my trip down memory lane as I squealed with glee, and enjoyed it as well. Although it's new (3 years old)-- this Guthrie's is the cleanest I've ever seen a fast food restaurant in my life. I pray they keep that up! The manager took our order and was so warm and friendly. True to form, I ordered a "Gut box" for old times' sake, and it was as perfect as it was circa 2003! The chicken tenders were fantastically golden. The buttery toast had that crispiness (not soggy from steam in the box like the other guys) to it that I love. Those fries were perfection as well. I hoovered everything down so fast I forgot to take photos. All in all, it was a great Guthrie's reunion for me and a great first time experience for the hubs. A win is a win!

I Had enough time to the restroom during the time we waited...on my way in there was trash by the front doors then I got to the restroom...which was dirty too. Yuck. The tomatoes on the burger were not ripe yet which was disappointing given the time of year. As midwesterners, we were also disappointed about them not having ranch but the ketchup was fine! The building is very old and it definitely hasn't been renovated...ever. The manager was nice and the lady that helped us at the counter was patient. It was a very busy place inside and in the drive-thru, but our order still came out fast and warm, besides the fries which were room temp but salted perfectly.
