I'm going to give this a 4 star because the employee taking and bagging orders was exceptionally polite and working hard, but my gosh, get some more help around lunch rush hour. Clearly many people have commented on the wait time, so this is a recurring problem. The wait time really warrants a 1 star. Waited like 30 minutes for my food - 45 for my friend and we both ordered at the same time. Staff was a bit abrupt when her order was ready onscreen, but not at the counter. My food was good - her's was cold. I got the hot slider and reaper ranch, very good, spicy but not too spicy if you can actually handle heat. I'm going to only review the food. Very disappointing. The staff was exceptional. The food not worth the hype for me. Ordered the slider and fries. Drink strawberry lemonade slushee. Fries were great, and I do not like fries. My one slider meal to me was overpriced. The chicken itself didn't taste seasoned. I had lite heat and that was fine. Drizzle of hot honey. The outer part of the chicken was just overkled w seasoning. Just putting a ton of seasoning on the chicken didn't make it flavorful. I can check this off my to go list. Massive Disappointment!!! Although I had seen this restaurant in other cities, I finally tried it in Montgomery. Even still, I waited a month or so after the Grand Opening as the lines were long and out of control. This type of buzz and excitement can be expected of a new establishment, especially, when the aesthetics are new and shiny. However, that's where the enjoyable part ended. Walking in, the lobby was packed and had dirty tables, further, limited seating options. The menu was simple enough and the order was placed, quickly and efficiently. But, it took over 30 minutes to come!!! And, get this, it was COLD! Every bite from the sliders, fries, and chicken bites, tasted frigid. Why in the world was the wait so long for the food to be cold? Odd! Also, they forgot part of the order and I had to wait longer for them to get that part. On top of the that, beyond the 'spicy' exterior there was no flavor to this chicken...At ALL!!! The fries were golden fried and well-seasoned. It's hard to eat just 1 at a time. The Dave's sauce is great for dipping. The pickles are chewy with the right amount of crunch. The tenders are huge. The bun is light and the ideal size for sliders. The kale slaw adds the optimal amount of crunch and sweetness to the medium sauce. read more

Walked in around 1:35 on a Saturday. There is a milky liquid on the floor by the ordering desk with a wet floor sign propped on the order desk. Ordered and sat down at an available table that was dirty. The "where's my food" TV said our food was ready and when we went up to the desk to check on it, it wasn't ready. Our food then disappeared from the where's my food TV. We finally got our food after going back up to the counter at 2:16. For reference we got 2 #2s one with a cheese fry upgrade and a chicken tender. Drake would be disappointed!!! I visited David's Hot Chicken in Montgomery expecting flavorful, spicy chicken -- but unfortunately, it fell far short. The chicken was dry, overcooked, and completely lacking in flavor or heat. My Oreo milkshake was just plain vanilla ice cream with a few Oreos sprinkled on top -- not blended at all. For a place that advertises "hot chicken," there was nothing special about this meal. Overall, very underwhelming. I do not recommend this location. Food was not bad, but not great. I ordered a large side of ranch the cost was 3.99 fine. I had the order to go. When I got home ranch was all in my bag. The per sealed container was opened on one side. It had a printed sticker on top of it. The young lady seemed to have been checking the order, but she did not do a very good job of it. First time trying Dave's Hot Chicken. Main issue at Montgomery location, is the service is extremely slow. We ordered at 2:42 and received our food at 3:16, and our order was incorrect, but we made it work because we didn't want to wait another 30min to get it fixed. Restaurant was also not stocked very well..they were out of forks and the drink station had no lids. Trash cans were overflowing..we had to set our trash on top of the can ..as both cans were completely full. This location needs help. And the prices...$62 for family of 4 for basically chicken fingers. Not worth it. Disappointed with our first attempt at Dave's Hot Chicken. read more

And they have lessened their menu for cauliflower I will not be going back as they don't care about vegetarians when they are actively taking away our options read more
