If you've been reading my reviews, you already know that I harbor an irrational and a possibly unhealthy fascination with Pizza Ranches. I love buffets and mashed potatoes and pizza, so that's why this chain hits home with me. The Dickinson location is pretty good, spacious, and it has the great Pizza Ranch arcade (few do, so appreciate it and have some fun)! I don't know if this is a new thing across the chain or if it's unique to this location, but they weren't playing the usual Christian rock and Christian country music, and it was very nice. Anyway, it's a nice and clean location and the food was up to its usual standards. I would return, if I ever get back this way, and I sure hope that I do, since I like North Dakota so much. read more

Ordered 4 piece all dark with side of slaw. For ordering all dark, I'd expect Larger chicken pieces. Not the case here! Also ordered garlic Parmesan dip. This tasted like it's "turned" and been reheated over multiple days. A huge dissatisfied meal. PS. They charge for to go utensils! WTF DOES THAT? This is how you are able to tell how cheap they are. And that drives right down to the point of how the "preserve " THIER product. Disgusting! read more

Wow, there buffet is the best for the price. Name is a little confusing. Their fried chicken, mashed potatoes are right on, not to mention their nice salad bar and pizza selection. If they are out of something they will get it for you, no questions asked. read more

This is the place to be in Dickinson. With a brand new arcade in the back, you can lose yourself for hours. The staff is friendly and, once you pay, you find a spot to sit and go grab a plate. I am so disappointed in how far Pizza Ranch has fallen. We used to love to eat here. We tried to eat there two weeks ago and they said they were closing because of a rain storm. Every other restaurant in town was open and the storm was mostly gone in 30 minutes. We tried again to eat there at 8pm and they said the buffet was closed and only the arcade was open until 9pm. They said we could order off the menu but they were already in the process of putting everything away for the night. On their website it just says they close at 9. Nothing about the buffet stopping at 8. I mean who goes there for the arcade only? Its not called Arcade Ranch?! Looking at all the negative reviews I can't imagine this will be in business for much longer without a change in management. You can't survive in the restaurant business if you don't serve food. read more

I really enjoyed this place. I can't comment on how it is *now* due to all the regulations from Covid because I don't live in the area anymore, but when I did last year I loved coming here for the buffet. It was like $13 plus change after tax and you could eat so much chicken and pizza. Had a great mac n cheese pizza and great chicken. read more

Was sick for 3 days from eating here and didn't realize it was from the pizza until the 3rd day. One of the worst food poisoning cases I've had. 4th days and I'm still feeling gross. The food is disgusting either way. Marinara sauce has little to no flavor and the ranch tastes spoiled and the crust is just as bad. I got a cheese pizza and cheesy bread sticks and both were awful for the price. Pizza Hut is better for cheaper. read more

No precautions taken for COVID. There's plexi glass for the cashiers, but no enforcement of masks or social distancing. The buffet is open and its exposed food is concerning, considering the virus is spread through droplets. This is extremely irresponsible. COVID cases are still rising in North Dakota and this establishment is failing in taking precautions to stop the spread. 0/5 if that were an option. read more

Probably the best dining experience we've had in the area as of yet. The food was tolerable to totally fresh. The pizza and other items tasted good and the place was tolerably clean. The bathroom needed some attention but other than that the place finally left a good taste in my mouth as far as restaurants in this town go. read more

I'm spoiled....I'm from Chicago. So we have great pizza.....but this super processed meal made me a little repulsed. Like a chuck e cheese for adults. Why are Americans so satisfied with processed crap? Why? This is fast food. And for fast food it's good....but I hate fast food with a passion. I'd rather visit a mom & pop establishment....and have home made food. The fried chicken was ok, edible. But Americans really need to raise their standards. If prefer to eat subway sandwiches. The people inside the restaurant were very friendly. But the quality of the food, not satisfying when we wanted to feel like we got a good meal. Really bad pizza. If you like pizza, don't go here. If don't like pizza, this is the pizza place made for you. They have banquet serving tables with deep fried packaged chicken, ND tators and canned gravy, salad bar with from the bottle dressings, and a large choice of crappy pizza. The pizza is made from frozen dough, i the time honored style of Tombstone frozen pizza but with great passion for bland sauce and packaged toppings. If an asteroid has struck the Earth and this is the last standing place to eat.. well its North Dakota interstate, so be encouraged, it can't get much worse. read more

So we went to Pizza Ranch for lunch, and I think it may have been on a weekend, because it was packed! We did find room for the 4 of us though, and ate plenty for $10.23. Their fried chicken, as advertised, is pretty good. There was a wide range of pizzas, and a fair amount of sides and salad offerings for a pizza buffet. They had an ice cream machine as well as dessert pizza. All in all, something for everyone to stuff themselves on for a decent price, and pretty good taste. read more

I would have liked to have eaten there, but never made it past the entrance. Came in for a late lunch after a long day, but the teenager at the register was too busy chatting with friends and family to actually let people pay to eat. I left after waiting in line for several minutes. After the first person, who didn't appear to even be eating there, finally hugged the girl and left, the next group also seemed to be friends with the cashier and they started chatting about something or another together as well. Easily one of the best run restaurants in Dickinson. The staff is always very friendly when I go in there for a pickup order. One of the few restaurants in this town that actually makes you feel like you're a valued customer when you go in there. They've added a game area for kids, the only place I know of in Dickinson with a game room. The food is usually very good too. They have the best chicken pizza, although last time they skimped the chicken. Keep up the good work y'all read more

Good concept poorly poorly managed. Over crowded no tables and still line of people at register being let in. One person cleaning bussing tables. Hot food is good. Salad bar looked picked over and trashed by a bunch of monkeys; brown lettuce a big pet peeve of mine don't give your customers a salad bar with brown lettuce everything just dirty spilled and mostly empty very disappointing. I know they were busy however that's when a better manager needs to take care of...have a system for check in so you know how many tables you have open and have more help on a known busy day. Your table server girl should not have to tell customers they can't sit at the only open table because there is only two of them and they don't have enough bigger tables for larger groups. So I've been there a number of times cause my daughter likes the selection but after tonight idk if I'll go back. They put out fresh chicken so I grabbed a chicken breast. Completely raw on the inside. So I go tell the lady at the counter. She doesn't pull the chicken she let's everyone eat it. So of course I asked her y she would want everyone sick. Y didn't u pull the chicken. She didn't even care enough to answer me. Don't think she ever did pull it. Unacceptable. read more

Price is great and the chicken is wonderful. The coffee is pretty good too - unexpected surprise.

We had a surprise birthday party here for my dad. I was planning it from Arizona and flew in the day of the party. The managers were very helpful in helping reserve a room. We got to Pizza Ranch to decorate and from that moment on the staff was SO helpful in helping figure out the best way to set up so my dad didn't see us, to making sure we had EVERYTHING we needed. Sorry for the spelling but want to acknowledge Cindy, Bailey, Winette and Bianca for taking such great care of us. All the staff was very friendly and accommodating, the food was great and the surprise party was a huge success. So glad we chose Pizza Ranch! read more

Taco Pizza was pretty good. Service and cleanliness were lacking. We came in 6 minutes (according to their clock) after they stopped putting food out for their pizza buffet. We were not given the option to eat off of the buffet even though they were not replenishing the buffet. There were only a couple handfuls of other patrons in the restaurant, many were still lingering after finishing the meal. We ended up waiting 20 minutes for the Pizza and in that time we only saw one person visit the buffet line. Just a few minutes before we were about to leave they finally cleared the buffet. They cleared full pizzas and a few missing a couple pieces... presumably to throw them away. What a waste. We visited Pizza Ranch because of the buffet, had we known we would have to wait that long for a pizza we would have ordered delivery or visited another restaurant. The cleanliness was far from desirable. Crumbs and large bits of food littered the floor which looked like it hadn't seen a vacuum all day. We even watched people clearing tables simply wipe the crumbs onto the floor. I've enjoyed other Pizza Ranches in ND and had great experiences. This one, sadly, didn't come close to those experiences. read more

On May 3, 2015 while I was visiting Dickinson ND, my friend (who's ND native) and I was searching for a restaurant to enjoy lunch. I suggested Pizza Ranch since I had been to Pizza Ranch several times and had great experiences. That day would have been a perfect day to introduce my friend to Pizza Ranch. Unfortunately, the Dickinson Pizza Ranch mistreated us. We walked in and waited until the employee at the cash register finish his transaction. We noticed that he had a difficult time handling the customer in front of us. When it our turn, I explained to him that my friend has never been to Pizza Ranch before, we would like to see what you have to offer. His reply was "Make sure you don't eat or take anything without paying" To my dismay, I asked him to repeat what he just said to me, he seemed irritated and said "Just make sure you don't eat and don't pay". I proceeded to tell him, "That was not the right thing to say". We proceeded to look at the food before we walked out. My friend and I found, both the hot food and salad counter was very dirty. Until this day, we still talk about the horrific service experience we received from your restaurant. I wish and expect Pizza Ranch will take corrective action on this matter. read more

Oct 14, 2015. Went to the ranch most stuff was cold from the lunch crowd. Ate the pizza and it seemed to be off and really bland. Found out afterwards they have switched to gluten free crust, which tastes like cardboard. My two buddies both had stomach aches and diarrhea all through the night after words, chicken was really oily and cold. read more

How is this location even open? Rude staff, can't keep regular hours like any normal business, and they can't even spring for an app! Only good thing about this place is that they have the best buffalo chicken pizza in the entire world, which is why I'll give them a 2 instead of a 1. read more

Staff was helpful and very accommodating. Food was hot and tasty. We had a group of fifteen and they set us up very well. No complaints.
