If I could rate this 0 stars, I would. My boyfriend and I have ate at this pizza ranch 3 times now and each time they have either no food out or old food out. For the price you pay they should be putting out fresh everything. My boyfriend ordered a specialty pizza and it took them 45 min to bring it out, even then it did NOT look fresh. This was around 12:30pm when we went to go eat. It's just a disappointment at this point. We will never be going back to the Mitchell location unless they change management there. How can you come out and look at the buffet and not change out pizzas that look like they've been out from the day before. How can you have 6 people working and none of them are doing their jobs. The only time we seen the workers is when we left and they were all standing by the front talking and laughing. Well I didn't think it was very funny spending over $30 on food that looked nasty. At lunch time is crazy. GET NEW MANAGEMENT. read more

Prices are high for a buffet lunch, but service was good at this location. Bathrooms were clean, and the Fun Zone looked well maintained. Ok so the variety of the buffet was pretty cool. They had a ton of different stuff and good soda selection plus it was fun and had an arcade. The pasta with red sauce was better than i expected and i really liked the sauce. The chicken was also better than i expected and i liked it. The salad bar was ok but could be better if they had soup. The pizza was not very good tho and probably the worst thing about it which was disappointing considering the name. I will say the dough was way better suited to the dessert pizza than the normal one. The dessert pizza was fire but they didnt have the cactus bread so i couldnt try that. Dine in | Dinner Pizza Ranch in Mitchell, SD was the first time we'd ever eaten at a Pizza Ranch. We had been driving all day and arrived at 7:00. I was worried the food wouldn't be fresh since their closing time was 8:00. I'm glad I was wrong. The food was fresh and delicious and the buffet was replenished right up until closing time. I was impressed with the variety of food available- various pizzas, a well-stocked salad bar, fried chicken, multiple sides, pasta, dessert pizzas, and ice cream. The young man at the register was very friendly and made sure we knew what to do since it was our first visit. I'm sad we don't have a Pizza Ranch where we're from. I would definitely recommend Pizza Ranch, especially the one in Mitchell, S.D., to anyone. read more

The others were good, but my son and I agree this place really puts in extra effort to make our visit A+. Ordered pizza, chicken strips, and coleslaw. Pizza and chicken was delivered, but no coleslaw. Called the store and talked to a woman who acted like it was no big deal, but she said she would have the driver bring it to me. I waited 45 minutes before calling back, to find out that she never told the manager about my missing coleslaw. The manager then told me that if I didn't want my coleslaw, over 2 hours after ordering, that she would give me a $10 credit. So, because they messed my order up, I have to order from them again to get my money back. I asked her to just take it off my total, and she said their computer system doesn't work that way. The parking lot was packed so already we were suspicious, hee. We associate packed parking lots with fast food restaurants. Pizza Ranch is a chain so expect lots of what we would consider to be mediocre pizza, fried chicken, simple salad bar, dessert pizza, for about $10 each. Yes, sounds like an okay deal and there was nothing bad at all about the food. However, the crust is very much not like the kind of chewy, hand-thrown pizza crust you would love to get. It is more like what you would get out of the freezer. Their service is admirable and they will prepare any kind of pizza you wish if it already is not at the feeding trough. But there still is the crust. So if you want to shovel so-so pizza into your gob in a reasonably comfortable fast-food chain restaurant, this is the place for you. You will not be alone. read more
