    Fried Calamari

I grew up coming here and loved it so much and due to moving away for college, haven't been here in like 10 years, maybe even more. My family decided to come back here for dinner last night and it definitely has changed. First off, you can't walk in the old front entrance anymore and walk by and see them making the pizza, which is unfortunate. You have to go in on the side and walk through the tables of people sitting and eating outside. Also, the inside decor looks run down and not nice. We decided to sit outside, and both the table and chairs were dirty with pizza sauce. I get the tables are outside but do they not wipe it down? It was pretty nasty. Next onto service, since when does this place put auto gratuity of 20% onto checks, especially a 5 person party. I always tip 20%, but I hate auto gratuity because I feel like the servers slack off since they know they're getting their money no matter what. Our server wasn't too terrible, however she did give my dad some mild attitude over ordering the calamari and calling it fritti instead of fried. We know fritti is fried, and you know what we mean when we say fried calamari, don't have to make a big stink about its proper name. Also, I asked for a water refill and she brought a sprite instead, which no big deal, mistakes happen, but she said she would fix the issue and get me a water and never returned. The host ended up coming out to check on us and I had to ask her to refill my water. As for the food, everything was really good and we enjoyed our meal thoroughly. Definitely think this place has gone downhill since its earlier days but at least the food is still good.especially the garlic rolls, that's what I remember most about this place and they did not disappoint.

Great neighborhood italian restaurant, with owners and team members that become like family. They have a bar, indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of parking. The restaurant is nestled in the heart of Parkland. Today we swung in to purchase fresh pizza dough. Two containers were $16.00. Looks like it will make four personal size pizzas. Enjoy!

Deep breath. Pizza Time Caffe in Parkland. This a family-owned Italian-American pizza joint with an adjoining dining room aspiring to be something better. It's related to Pizza Time in Coral Springs, but smaller and atmospherically similar (in that dated 1980s sense) with the stereotypical Roman busts, terrazzo pink decor, and frescoes of Mediterranean scenes. It's cute and family-owned. I wanted to like it because many people have asked me to try it over the years, and it's practically in my backyard. First lands the house salad, which comes with the entree (we ordered the "regular" sized eggplant parm, which we'll get to). Lovely crisp salad greens, fresh ripe tomatoes. Commercial bottled Italian dressing with a sweet flavor. Sad. We were told about the garlic rolls that come with the entree. We waited. We didn't get them until we asked about 10 minutes later. The server was apologetic, as the busser was supposed to do it. The rolls themselves had the consistency of white bread, not pizza dough. Rachel and I felt the garlic topping tasted like it came out of a jar. Acidic and harsh. The parm. The regular size is about twice the size as the small, but only $3 more. A massive portion that will serve at least 3 or 4 people. It's heavily breaded but not well-seasoned, and I thought it was very light on cheese, which is a low-moisture mozzarella you would put on pizza. I'm unsure what brand it is, but it didn't taste like a Grande. The sauce itself was somehow very cloyingly sweet (like pizza sauce at their sister restaurant in Coral Springs) and very salty. The pasta was cooked properly , that's about all I can say in praise about it. Rachel and I each had a bite and were disgusted and left the plate as is and asked for the check. Price wise, it was actually a few dollars more then Sette Mezzo's but like 3X-4X more food. The portions of everything I saw go out were huge, and that's probably the main appeal of the place. We were asked what was wrong with it, and we told them the above. They didn't offer to replace it with something else or cancel the bill. One and done. And it's unfortunate because I expect a family-run place like this to do better.

Heather was an attentive bartender. My girlfriend and I ordered three appetizers off the happy hour menu and got a bottle half price from the Monday special. The burrata insalata was excellent. We then ordered a side of the Meatballs which we ordered an extra side of Ricotta cheese, and that was also delicious. Lastly, we ordered the happy hour pizza, which was a pepperoni pizza with ricotta and Mike's hot honey drizzled on top. It was also delicious. The Ambiance is that of a cozy Italian trattoria. I can't wait to bring my husband next time!

Consistently delicious for over 20 years. Still one of the best Italian restaurants in southeast Florida.

All of the food was so incredibly prepared with fresh ingredients. A truly authentic Italian restaurant. The al fresco Mediterranean style dining room is so cute, what a vibe. The garlic knots were out of this world, super garlicky. My boyfriend and I weren't starving so we decided to share a regular order of chicken piccata and it was huge! So big we were able to share it and still took plenty home. The couple sitting next to us also shared a chicken dish and soup and had plenty left over, great healthy portion sizes! The bartender/ manager was so sweet, very attentive and made great recommendations. The only thing is that they only have beer and wine so if you are looking to enjoy cocktails the only have high noons, it is not a full bar. Definitely a hit in our book, we will be returning often.

Inside or outside seating is available at this quaint restaurant. No wait to be seated, Another enjoyable meal at this venue was had tonight. Mine was Filet of Sole Franchese, My husband had Veal Picatta. Our meals began with a crisp salad. They were both delicious. The garlic knots topped off our dinner. Service was great!

They offer plenty of lunch specials, but I was here for only one task, to try the NY style pizza. The ambiance was perfect for a pizzeria with the intent to display a nostalgic NY theme. The oversized pizza slice was at a very reasonable three bucks. Lifted the firm "No Flop" slice to my awaiting mouth, thankful that oil from the cheese was not dripping down my hand. So happy hearing that crunch from the thin lightly charred undercarriage. Pleased with the zesty garlic sauce covered lightly by the cheese. The cornicione did not have charred air bubbles, but had an honorable crunch. The gender assigned bathroom was clean with black painted cement flooring complemented by a poster of the original 1972 Godfather's movie starring Marlon Brando and Al Pachino - now it was evident that this was a legit old school Italian pizzeria. Great job - easy five stars...

At a glance into the display racks I knew this was going to be a successful dining experience. Also tried a Sicilian slice and Im not usually a fan of this style of pizza but the dough melted in my mouth and the crunchy light charred edge was wonderful and unexpected. Brought home a slice of pizza for my son-in-law and he was hooked. He came back the next week and had the meat lovers and pineapple pizza and raved to me about it, almost bragging about its flavor possibly beating out his goto local pizzeria. The clean gender neutral bathroom was so freakin' unique that Aunt Lulu needs to be applauded for her eye for detail and originality.
