This place is what I would call a hidden gem. I came to this place on a date years ago. As time passed i couldnt remember the name or where it was located. I suddenly drove by the place seemed familiar and then bam I remembered. I've been wanting to take my brother and mom here for a long time and since I've been craving sushi well I ordered take out. I had the super crunch and my brother had the Mexican roll. When we picked up the food it was ready, the restaurant it's small and cute, very private, busy for a Wednesday night. My mom is not that big of a sushi eater but does like tempura one's. She ate some of the super crunch and really liked it. My brother ordered the Mexican roll and he enjoyed his as well. They also have a lot of traditional Thai entrees, noodles, rice dishes and curry options. My husband and I each got a roll this visit. The Sushi Bomb roll was really good! It had tuna, salmon, and snapper inside with avocado, asparagus, scallions then fried on the outside. The Bluefin roll was also very unique. I just ordered from here and it was OK but not great. The crab Rangoon's were a little burnt and hard to bite into. The salmon poke bowl was all right and the tom ka ghai was great as always. I recently ate at Bluefin with my family and had a great experience. The staff was very attentive and there was plenty of seating available. For appetizers, we shared the shrimp spring rolls which were so tasty with the peanut sauce. For the entree, we shared a chicken pad Thai, ginger chicken, and a sushi roll. Between 3 people, we had left overs! My favorites were the pad Thai and the sushi (the Parkland roll). Also, if you are a Thai tea fan I absolutely recommend ordering it here! It is delicious. Always a good meal at Bluefin. We went with two of our granddaughters and we were treated, as always, with a hearty hello. They gave us a nice plate of edamame to munch on while we read through the menu. Sadly, the menu was new, reflecting increased prices, but honestly everything is going up, and it was certainly not a surprise, nor unwarranted. We started off, after the edamame, with a big bowl of soup that was enough for the four of us to share. My wife had her typical shrimp Pad Thai, which typically she couldn't finish, so I helped a bit, and I just ordered a sushi roll (knowing I'd be getting some Pad Thai. As someone who was raised in Parkland and comes back to visit for my parents, Bluefin has always been a Parkland staple for me. It's always a familiar spot and service is always consistent. We were seated right away and orders placed immediately. Food and drinks came out promptly as well. We were stuffed eating these dishes (I was pleasantly surprised by how much they gave especially for the more affordable rolls like the salmon skin roll), and I was happy to see they serve tempura ice cream since that's my mom and I's favorite dessert at Asian fusion restaurants. They have specials daily. So she's fantastic. That soup we got was a little spicy, but so good. I also enjoyed the curry with shrimp! The desserts are very decadent. We tried the Friday ice cream and the fried cheesecake. I think the fried cheesecake was my favorite of the two though. The prices are reasonable and the portions are great. The service is wonderful too. They're very nice, a little slow, but I think that's only because they may be understaffed. This is my favorite Asian restaurant in Parkland. Many times when a place lists that they make multiple Asian types of Asian food, suck as a sushi and Thai restaurant, one type may be excellent and the other one not so much. Not here. Here, the sushi is delicious and so is the Thai. I'm love sushi but here I go for the Thai. The pad Thai is delicious. Their appetizers are amazing too. The service is excellent with the owner often out on the floor helping serve or just give advice to customers. The restaurant is in a quiet little strip mall and has a nice casual feel to it. Bluefin sushi is located in a great spot in parkland. It's in a plaza surrounded by a forest so it's serene. The outdoor seating at bluefin really adds to the ambiance well too. There's also seating inside but I have always opted to be outdoors to enjoy the atmosphere. The waitstaff can have a hard time to completely understand what you want to order so you have to speak slowly to ensure you are getting the right thing. The food is great! They have daily specials from sushi bomb Tuesdays, to Pad Thai Wednesdays. I really enjoyed the chicken pad Thai! It was actually really really good here. I wish it came with some rice to soak up some of the sauce because it seemed like it needed that though. The chicken teriyaki was also phenomenal. I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce though it seemed a little thick so I am glad I got that on the side. However, you can never go wrong with sushi bomb Tuesdays as that sushi roll is phenomenal. The spring roll appetizer is also very well done. The spring rolls are sliced diagonally and the sauce it comes with complements them so well. Highly highly recommend. They are still open during coronavirus but only for delivery and pick up. They are honoring their weekly specials and have added beer specials for $2 on top of it. Their staff is amazing and their food is awesome. Tuesday is $6 sushi bomb with the purchase of a beverage. Both rolls are fried and the parkland roll contains salmon, krab, and avocado and comes with eel sauce. The sushi bomb has tuna, salmon, snapper avocado, and asparagus and comes with eel sauce and tiger sauce- which is like a spicy mayo with a social sriracha like sauce added. We literally eat here every single week and know every single waitress. We dine with Nina, Bobo, and Yao the most. Yao calls everyone honey and makes you feel special every time. All of them know our family's orders by heart. Another favorite of our family is they key west roll, which has shrimp tempura, eel, krab, avocado and asparagus. My brother loves the lobster bomb that comes with a whole tempura fried lobster tail! For hot foods: my dad always orders their clear noodles with shrimp! The whole place is bustling and loud on a good night, but the service is always top notch. This is a great sit down restaurant for first dates or any special occasions. I rarely give 5 stars, but it says something when everyone at your table and all the surrounding tables are ordering all different items and everyone is thoroughly enjoying their food. Thank you to our friends for choosing this location to meet up for dinner. You wouldn't think that in September you'd need a reservation anywhere, but the place was packed. This restaurant is not near our usual haunts, and I now wish it (or us) were much closer. Their menu is large -- sushi plus other Japanese dishes including kitchen appetizers, sashimi, hand rolls, special rolls, noodles, combos dinners, tempura, and katsu; Thai appetizers, soups, dinners, fish and squid and duck dishes, house specialties, Thai noodles, vegetable dishes, and even fried rice. They also recently added ramen dishes. Service from our waitress Jo was wonderful. All orders taken and processed correctly. No problems with special instructions or changes. All items paced perfectly. Refills on drinks anticipated. No need to ask. My husband started with a Thai soup. The Tom Yam Kai had chicken, mushrooms, lime juice, lemon grass and herbs in a spicy broth. The broth was not that spicy, but he said it was very good. I just had their house salad to start. I loved their carroty ginger salad dressing. Our friends shared an appetizer order of steamed shu mai. My husband had their sushi bomb roll for his main entree. This was from the special rolls list. It had tuna, salmon and snapper along with asparagus, scallions, and roe. It was done tempura style and had their tiger sauce (like a spicy mayo) on top. I chose their sea bass appetizer. The fish was grilled and topped with miso sauce all served over cooked spinach. Our friend had a Thai clear noodle dish. The piece de resistance was his wife's choice of their lobster bomb special roll. It's lobster tempura along with avocado, asparagus, scallions, and roe. It's usually topped with their spicy tiger sauce but she got eel sauce and peanut sauce on the side. I might order that one next time. All the dishes were beautifully plated and presented. The two rolls were very large portions and a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. Our table neighbors got a small sushi boat and I couldn't resist taking a photo of it as it was so pretty. We were too full for dessert unfortunately. They have some very appealing lunch specials,too -- bento box special plus a Japanese lunch menu; as well as a separate Thai lunch menu. Came by last night for dinner with my fiance, uncle and 2 of our boys. We rushed in right around 9pm and figured we order fast to not hold them up. To my surprise our server (don't recall her name) was so sweet , attentive and didn't make us feel rushed. She recommended a few dishes and we took her up on the chicken dumplings, wonton soup and miso soup. All three were perfect choices. I ordered their dragon roll - side of spicy mayo and eel sauce and that was decent (not the best I've had but still yummy). My husband ordered a curry dish which he really enjoyed. My uncle ordered two dishes - chicken fried rice and a lo mein dish. He mentioned both were tasty. The boys ordered chicken teriyaki accompanied with french fries, salad and a cheese roll. At last we ordered for dessert the fried ice cream and fried cheesecake! Both were soooo good. Actually my favorite meal of the day lol. This was my favourite sushi place when I lived in Parkland. The staff is super friendly. There are a few tables outside you can sit at. There are plenty of seats around the sushi bar so you can see them in action. I usually get the Hot Tuna Sandwich but today I opted for the Lobster Bomb roll. It is a bit ordinary but in my opinion worth it. They take the tail and tempura fry the lobster meat and it is so yummy. Then the rolls are on the side. We also like the spicy tuna salad but they've added a lot more tomatoes from what I remember. They fake you out thinking they are tuna.
