I randomly found this place while looking for my pasta store, which was a few stores down. I felt…read moreterrible walking in and walking out since I was on my hunt for pasta- but I knew I would return since their pastries looked so fresh and delicious! I went back and grabbed an almond croissant for my breakfast the next day and my husband tried their croissant sandwich. Both were delicious! I was bummed when I was told no chocolate croissant... so I went back today to look for it again! Luckily, there was one last hazelnut croissant waiting for me. I happily ordered it along with another almond croissant for my husband. What I loved about their croissants was how fluffy and crispy they were! It was better than the ones I had in Spain and very close to what I had in Paris. I hope others will find this little shop and support them as well!

He ordered the cheese Danish, which turned out to be 2/3 cheese, 1/3 Danish- definitely to his cheese-lover liking. I don't know why he got a pretzel, but he did, and it was soft and chewy with powerful sea salt to sizzle the tongue. The Americanos were good- mild in flavor and not too acidic or distinctive.

However- this place can take a few tips from the best cafes in Europe. First of all don't advertise you're a coffee/bookshop if you aren't!!! This was one of the most disappointing of all things here. To come in and find a small bookshelf of Czech books that seem to be published by fra is interesting- but not enough to call yourself a bookshop. Secondly they allow smoking inside, is this not 2014? Get some ventilation or call it quits for smokers inside. Thirdly they only offer bleached white sugar. Again is this 1990 when raw sugar is not the king of cafes? I expected more cafe fra. You're lucky you have a nice place and staff to pick up your slack.

However, I felt that the scoops of ice cream were very small compared to other Prague ice cream shops. One scoop costs 30kc. I had the peanut butter and pistachio. Both were good, but I highly recommend the pistachio. It was perfect, not too sweet and more on the natural nutty pistachio side.

Everything is freshly prepared, croissant, bagels, baquettes and they have fresh squeezed juices and an amazingly looking Belgian chocolate. The staff is smiling and very helpful and I will definitely be back./ Včera jsem objevila toto krásná, útulná a voňavou kavárnu u Náměstí Míru. Vešla jsem a interiér byl velmi příjemný a pohled na vitríny plné čerstvě udělaných sendvičů, bagelu, a croissantu byl ještě příjemnější. O stojanu s belgickou čokoládou nemluvě. :) Paní za pultem se usmívala a byla velmi příjemná. Určitě se vrátím.
