There were a few other patrons when we arrived. Our food came out in about ten minutes. I had a double cheeseburger with onion rings and Andrew had a mushroom burger. His burger had a gray mushroom sauce on it that made the burger sloppy. Andrew enjoyed it. My burger was not your typical burger. It seems to be hand made and had some seasoning on it. It was a bit too salty and and also kind of tough. It was good though. The onion rings were typical. Business really picked up while we were there with many more customers. On my visit today, I tried the Erskine Burger, which is a 6oz patty overwhelmed with mushrooms, cheese and gravy. And it was excellent. The patty was perfectly cooked, homestyle, not a frozen thing smashed into tastelessness. The patty was juicy, flavorful and cooked right. The mushrooms held into the melted cheese were great and the layer of gravy made it a real Canadian treat! The dining area is small but can fit a crowd of about 20. The staff is very kind and answered our questions and explained everything. Prices were very reasonable and we had lunch on a budget of about 28 for two people which is very good these days.
