Clovelly has a variety of restaurants, some good and some mediocre, some overpriced and some reasonably so. Pizzavelly falls into my favourite category: very good food and reasonably priced.
The pizzas themselves are first rate. Genuine flavours and tastes--I am particularly fond of the prosciutto. A medium pizza will run you $16, which is cheaper than many of the surrounding pizzerias. That, combined with the quality of ingredients and cooking, makes it the best deal in the Eastern Suburbs. Its only drawback is that they don't deliver.
I've not sampled some of their other mains, but they have surprisingly good homemade desserts. I am not a huge fan of tiramisu (my nonna would be turning in her grave to hear me say that), but there's is the best I've ever had. Ever.
I have also stopped by for the occasional quite palatable coffee--good on a cool afternoon.
Highly recommend. read more
