A small tip to bear in mind when visiting Turin. Many places are closed on Sundays and Mondays. We had looked at quite a few pizza places and unfortunately, most of them were closed today and or too far away for a quick pizza. This place was open and not far from where we were staying so, we decided to check it out.
The menu is in Italian and English and, the waiter spoke ok English which, was quite surprising as, it has not been the case thus far, in Turin. There are three pages of pizzas here and, you can choose from traditional to American style to vegetarian and so on.
I had the Napoletana which is basically tomato sauce, mozzarella and anchovy. My absolute favourite and ,added funghi, which apparently is common in the south but, not so here. I was told it was a "mere e monte" and uncommon to mix vegetable and fish. The pizza was quite ok but not special. I have had way better in Munich ;-)
For dessert I had the buynet or something like that (a chocolate pudding) and it was also ok, again nothing special.
All in all an ok experience and something I would wait a while before repeating. read more
