Havent signed a single piece of paper and now find my credit bureau with many inquiries that aren't authorized. Left without a single piece of paper saying what I was interested in and no contact info from the sales guy and finance guy. Very unproffesional people. I tried calling in to talk to the guy that I was dealing with and couldn't remember his name. The girl answering the phone and told me that she was busy and to call back. It took me by surprise but I did try later. This time she was just as rude and wanted to know why I wanted to talk to this guy and I wanted to get his email to forward docs to them. I ended up ending the conversation because she was too rude. I tried calling back later to talk to this guy named "Bob" he hung up on me. By now I have lost confidence in this organization and went back to Hull to get my deposit back. Ended up talking to the Manager and Owner and told them what had transpired. "Bob" showed up and got involved in the conversation. Mentioned that he only sent the info to the one Bank. He didn't call up a credit report from this store. I get an email from Equifax much to the contrary. Manager totally dissed the finance and sales guy behind his back and then called him up on the shortcomings when he did show up. They assessed the value of my trade wrong to the tune of about $8000 from any other dealer on Sunday. Now finally today they want to relook at the truck and give me more money. Stay away because they are full of crap and will lie there way to sale. They give used car salesmen a bad name, if that is possible.

As soon as we took possession, we noticed suspension issues, lots of creaks, a major interior moisture issue, problems with the ventilation system, strange smells and a couple of weird clunks when we hit a bump. We had them take it back to have it repaired - a week of rude service or non-existent service staff to answer calls. We had to bring it back 3 times, each time they said the car was in great shape, yet each time they attempted fixed something else. In our service notes, it shows where we repeatedly asked to have the rear suspension checked - repeatedly. They 'couldn't find' any issue. About 6 months later, less than 20k put on the car, we brought the car to our local Jeep dealer to have some new summer tires put on. Unfortunately, they couldn't touch the car due to "repairs that should have been made more than 6 months ago." It was so bad, we had to trade the car in and buy a new one. All the lies they told us were suddenly coming out. The total for the repairs were over $3000. We tried to contact Mega, but nobody would even answer our calls. Some poor salesman tried to get the owner and management to listen, but he was told to stop communicating with us. We sent many emails and made many phone calls, but they wouldn't respond. Save your time, your money, and your sanity by NEVER going to Mega Mitsubishi, Mega Automobile, and Rally Mitsubishi.

The Long Version: I'm a bit hesitant to write this review, because I don't want them to be busier than they already are so I can get a quicker appointment the next time I need them, lol. But I need to give credit where credit is due and these guys are 5 stars all the way. My 12 year old car was making some rattling noises when I drove over bumps or uneven road. Takaki Auto had excellent reviews on many different platforms, and combing through them they seemed like legit reviews. They also came highly recommended on several chat forums. They are also close to my house and specialize in Japanese vehicles, which mine is. When I called for an appointment, I described my issue and they told me the plan of what they were going to check. They were booking about a month out. I dropped off my car on my appointment date and was able to rent a loaner car. They ended up keeping my car over the weekend because they weren't able to finish the work on the Friday that I dropped it off, but I was ok with that since I had the loaner. Hiroshi called me and explained the situation after they diagnosed what was wrong. They had already gone ahead and replaced a stabilizer link because I had given pre-authorization for certain repairs, if required, but further repairs were needed so he had to talk with me. He gave me some options (like just replacing the bushings instead of the entire controller arms). And advised me it wasn't urgent to fix, but explained some possible consequences of delaying the fix (like uneven tire wear and the sound could mask other more critical sounds if something else were to go wrong). He was very patient with me as I know very little about cars. In the end I didn't want to delay the repairs and I had them replace the 2 control arms for me. They texted me when my car was ready and sent me the detailed invoice. Pickup went smoothly and they fixed the problem. My car no longer made the rattling sound when I drove over bumps and the car seemed to drive smoother. I found the price reasonable and I was very happy with the customer service. Oh, let me tell you about the loaner car, it was like over 20 years old with over 300,000 km on it, yet still drove well. I feel this in itself is a testament to their skills, lol. I am glad to have found an auto shop that I like. My dad does all the basic maintenance stuff for me like oil changes, changing my tires and he can even change brake pads and spark plugs, but the more complicated stuff I need to take to professionals. That will likely be Takaki for me going forward. Review #216 (2025)
