There isn't a large selection of cold cuts and cheeses but not bad. Little Bit on pricey side. The owner is very nice.

This time, instead of just loading up on pierogis, we also grabbed some Polish sausage and Polish beer.

I had never seen so many different flavored and colored rice papers and it was very cool. So many different types of noodles my goodness. They also have ready made foods and snacks. The spicy beef noodle soup with all the trimmings looked really good and it was only $9! I was kinda shocked at the inventory of meat cleavers of so many different sizes. They also carry cookware, bowls, plates, utensils and even a fireless cupping therapy kit. Hubby got a kick out of the long cooking chopsticks. This store definitely provided a new learning experience for exploring Vietnamese food and culture. Not the newest cleanest Asian grocery store but has a good selection and is well stocked.

I had no idea what gift would be appropriate to bring. A very nice lady behind the counter asked if she could help me. I told her my situation. She went directly to the boxes of fresh fruit. She said any would work, but rambutan is a specialty. So I bought a flat. I was very appreciative of her help. The store was very clean, friendly with lots of shoppers. The rambutan was a huge success! There was lots of foods to choose from. Private parking too. I will go back to Dong A2.

They have over 300 artisanal, imported and domestic cheeses, I find something new every time I go! The ambiance is what makes it special to locals, it feels like stepping into a traditional Italian market and it's hard to find elsewhere in Tampa. Definitely a staple for St. Pete! The market is almost always busy, so go right when they open or later in the afternoon on weekdays or you'll be standing shoulder to shoulder and wait 15 to 30 minutes, but honestly that time is perfect for browsing everything! My go to orders are the Mortadella Pistachio and the Fig & Pig. They are $12 each, and yes a bit pricey but the freshness and quality make it worth it.

A fresh produce, meat, fish, sausage, pickled olives, section. You walk further down and Theres the grab and go food section. Then to the left you have wine and cheese. You go further in, and Theres a fancy cheese section. Unfortunately they don't give small amounts of cheeses and cut it for you. But you can buy some really good cheeses here. Then you go back to the very narrow hallway, and Theres a ton of coffee on the left. I just got into coffee and am a coffee snob. I noticed there was a "greasy" looking bean. Which just means it's well past its freshness. The price of bean actually isnt that bad. And they offer a lot of varieties. We bought two, Guatemala and organic Mexico. I wanted to try it out before writing this review. The Guatemala one was light, faint. The Mexico was a bit deeper flavor. I would recommend to management to better advertise the coffee bean so the product moves and stays fresh, or maybe move it to a different section where people can feel comfortable getting it. It gets so crowded in the hallway. I would leave the hallway was a grab and go area. You keep walking down and you have the coffee shop to the right, and a small bread stand to the left. Of course we got coffee. Theres a small area of seating to get coffee for there. Theres a big roaster to give the appearance that they roast their own coffee but I believe it's just for decoration. Fiancé got a cappuccino. It was okay. He normally doesn't get coffee with too much milk but the waitress said there was 3 shots of espresso in there. I would say it didn't taste like 3 shots. It taste like coffee with 90% milk. And it should be told to customers that a cappuccino there is more milk with coffee. I got the con panno. Which is espresso with whipped cream. I'm not sure if the whip cream they use is fresh, or if it's super sweetened, but my coffee was sweet. It was thick which I like but I didn't like whatever sweetener they used. But I'd probably order a macchiato if I ever came back so I could taste the coffee. On the other side of the coffee shop is the sandwiches and prepared food that you order. Sandwiches are HUGE. Fiancé had the #1 with all the fixings. It was nice but if you don't like soggy sandwiches, you can ask for no veggies. Which we would do next time. I had the 7, no sun-dried tomatoes and no veggies. It was so good. The mozzerella was very fresh! If you walk past that you have the dried cured meat, and down a hallway to the right you'll find dried pasta and fresh pasta. The fresh pasta looked so good. I wished we lived in the area so I could try. You head back the other way and pass the outdoor seating and Theres also a place for you to check out you grocery/sandwiches. Right next to that section you have the pantry area of canned fish, pickled things, olive oil. Then Theres the bread and pastry area. We only had time to see these and no time to see what other stores they had or walk around. But I'd definitely come back to check those out.

I popped by today after learning about this place from @Rachel. There are multiple vendors selling all kinds of veggies for very little money. Luckily, I had cash because that's what they take! It's cool though because there's a lot of Vietnamese that support this market. And they buy the food too so you know it's good and authentic. I tried the "rice paper salad" which is like the turtle tower one. Except with the lady's own twist. It was a very long line. It took about 20 minutes or so to get to the front. It was $15 which is so expensive. It was good. She asked me if I wanted a little spice or a lot. I asked for little but it was still very spicy. I wonder how hot the spicy version is. It was a good mix of sweet, salty, spicy and sour. I'd recommend you try if you haven't. It's a big portion and could feed 3. At least you get a lot for the money. But I did see a teenager who happily ate it all himself. At a stall called banh tet tea, I got a phin filter coffee. Coffee ranges $6-$8. Very very expensive. Here it was $6. But it was very very little for what you get. Only 3 sips worth. We went to the popular banh mi and coffee place. They had a combo deal where it was a dollar off. The coffee here was $8 but at least you got a lot. It came with the salted coffee. It was good. But idk $6-$8 is Highway robbery for coffee for me. I just wanted to give it a try. The banh mi was the dac biet (combination). Which I love because I loooove pate. Tbh, it was very good. The baguette was so fresh. We saw a guy deliver 6 boxes of fresh banh mi while we were eating. I wish there was more pate inside though We also had the spring rolls. I took a photo of which stall we got it at. It was good. The lady was making it fresh instead of making it and packaging it. It was perfect. However, we asked for pork and shrimp and they only gave us shrimp. Not sure if they ran out of pork... Theres a ton of produce and plants for sale. I noticed many buying plants and fruit. It's a great market for the locals. However, restaurant prices. I really wanted to try all the soups, but they were $15-$20 for a to go bowl (the black containers). I thought that was very small for the prices. If I ever come back, I'd like to try the duck balut (embryo) and the com tam (rice plates)

The restaurant is located behind the German club on 66th Street, a second business in the German club parking lot! Apparently, the family that has his place is from Maine and they got a lot of success brewing beer. That's success led them to start the restaurant serving seafood from a family business in Maine. We started off with a bowl of New England clam chowder and a dozen oysters. To what are whistles we got a glass of their tap Chardonnay and a beer. My wife's Chardonnay was ridiculously good! But nothing could beat those oysters - sweet with a little bit of brine, and very fresh. For dinner we got a lobster roll - they come hot or cold, with the hot coming with melted butter. We also got the fried haddock roll.... Wow! Both were fantastic! I know we overdid it with dinner.... We even got an order of the whole belly clams. I didn't think anyone in Florida served those down here! Absolutely ridiculous . In short, we had fantastic dinner and terrific beverages. I really recommend you at least try to find the place - we almost didn't go in because of its awkward location and the fact that no cars were outside. We saw the place was open and decided to have a appetizer because the Yelp review was so strong, and I'm glad we did!
