I served in Berlin back in 82-84 and many of my brothers recommended this place for the currywurst and doners. Both were good, not quite the same, but maybe I have romanticized my time there and the street food. Staff was wonderful and a great selection of German beers.

Decent draft beer selections, and the food is OK, but not big portions. Prices are a bit higher than expected, especially the Preztel.

Came here for lunch as soon as they opened and it did not disappoint! I use to eat doner all the time growing up so I was excited to try this place. As soon as I entered the store I was greeted by friendly staff. The atmosphere gave me a very traditional chill bar type of vibe. Ordering your food was very simple and fast. I got the doner kebab sandwich. They ask you what kind of meat you want with it and what kind of sauce. I got the beef and lamb meat with tzaziki sauce. First thing I noticed was how fresh the bread tasted. It was also incredibly light. It had a decent amount of vegetables in it such as tomatoes, onions and lettuce. The only thing missing was the french fries but you can order them on the side. Overall this place was amazing! Definitely recommend trying their food!

    It's a VIBE.

YES, I stopped for a Pretzel. They have the best pretzels in the history of Ever. How can one resist a giant pretzel, served with honey mustard and homemade liptower cheese. Service is always on point. Friendly staff and a cute German vibe. I recommend you go try one of those 5

Stopped in for a casual dinner and so my husband could try something different. I've been getting him to expand his horizons when it comes to food, and this place was a definite winner for him. He went with the doener wrap, and while he usually goes for chicken--he actually got the beef/lamb mixture! He added tzatziki sauce and said the bread was amazing. He ate every bite of that huge thing! Next up, I'm a sucker for sauerbraten and had to try it. Perhaps I should have gone with the doener since that's this places main attraction. The sauerbraten could have been more tender for sure. And while the flavor was good and I overall enjoyed it, I've definitely had much better sauerbraten before. I will try something else next time. But that german potato salad!....yes, please! Oh, and we shared a liter of one of their strongest beers and it was delicious. It was a bit warm inside--and I think someone else mentioned the same issue--so I don't know if they just don't have good AC or what. I definitely don't want to freeze while eating dinner, but it could have been literally just 2 degrees cooler in there. We arrived around 5pm on a Tuesday, and it was pretty quiet. Our waitress was prompt and friendly. We would definitely keep this on our list to revisit.

I've driven by this place on Route 19 in St. Pete for years and finally decided to stop in. The German street food, Doener, is a signature dish so I thought I'd try it. The lamb and beef meat is like a gyro. I had the salad dish, but after talking to the chef, George, the bread they use for the sandwich is a must try on my return. It's a small restaurant that does a lot of self preparation. Their selection of German beers on tap is a must try. The full menu has all the key German dishes you'd be looking for. Another reason for me to return and there aren't many restaurants like this in St. Pete.

Giant hot pretzel perfectly done with just the right mustard.

The fellow that greeted us and waited on us was great from the early beer samplings at the taps offered to the reco's on the various dishes. Not a fancy place, but done very well and all the right elements of a small Bavarian restaurant serving fresh and authentic fare ! The outside dining mid afternoon is lovely and the road noise is not overwhelming. Highly recommend for a late lunch or early dinner.

It is good German cuisine restaurant. Considering this area is a popular restaurant. During this time, it is just like October fest. Many love to sit outside like beer garden. In the good weather, you may need to come early if you want to sit outside. The restaurant serve German food and gyro. Interesting. The chef can handle two types of food. We got the Jagerschnitzel. It is breaded pounded pork gravy with mushroom and bacon. The side is potatoes salad. This dish is good when you are hungry. Love the coating flavor on the pork. We also get the Doener Bowl. It is shave lamb with rice and one special sauce. This dish we added a knockwurst with sauerkraut and falafel, the wurst is good and brown finish outwardly. Falafel also tasty. Overall the food is good. Good thing we arrived before the big crowd. They only has one waitress. With their business they may need two. Many come here for the beer.

This place is unique. It serves, German food, beer, middle eastern doner all under one roof. I had the beef doner bowl. The doner meat was good without the strong lamb sense. I asked for a side of curry sauce. It was different than any curry sauce I have ever had before- tense and tasty. The falafel was a big ball , a bit of vinegary in it which I was not used to. The Kase Krainer sausage was good- lay in a bed of sour cabbage and nicely grilled. The pork schnitzel with potato salad was also delicious. It was Sunday lunchtime. They got good business- indoor and outdoor seating were almost full, plus the take out ordering. There was only one waitress and she was overwhelming. The service would get better if they have more help. I like their food, pricing and parking is a piece of cake. I will eat here again when I come to St Pete skyway neighborhood.

I (a wheelchair user) was assigned a bartender vs waitstaff ( which made no sense) even though I was seated at a table in the dining area. Other waitstaff should have jumped in to assist, but they seemed disinterested in helping tables not assigned to them even after asking. They never really have "off" days, which is great because it's somewhere I can always bring friends and family. The atmosphere is honestly so great especially on the outside. You would think it would be too hot sometimes and too cold but they have lanterns that make it perfect in the winter and fans to make it perfect in the summer. It's truly one of the best maintained outside eating areas Because it's completely covered as well so that really helps the shade aspect. There's also a little section outside of the dining patio that serves as a little cocktail lounge area, which is adorable. if you wanna find somewhere that you could eat outside with your elderly grandma, this is a great place because they really do everything they can to make it as comfortable as possible for those hot Florida summers. They also allow dogs to come in, which may be a plus or a minus for some people. if you go, the falafel is truly some of the best delicate crunchy falafel that I've ever had and all of the spreads and dips are incredibly delicious and consistent. Get their vegetable crudite because it's the freshest, crunchies selection of watermelon, radishes, perfect Romain, lettuce, boats, crisp carrots. The main thing that me and my friends always say about this restaurant is that it literally reminds us how refreshing and satisfying actually healthy food could be. I know that sounds funny, but we always sit down and say we should eat like this more at home! Haha. Great Greek wine list in addition to the Classics and nice cocktails. I genuinely don't have ANYTHING negative to say about this place, which is really really rare. lol. Also get baklava if you can.

The exterior of the building was nothing to brag about, but the interior was neat, well laid out, and clean. The owners of the restaurant were up front to greet dinners. The waitress was prompt and attentive. Mirage features a lunch buffet, so I was able to sample small portions of a lot of offerrings. My first plate was filled with selections from the cold salad station (hummas, pita, Persan picket, baba ganosh, etc.). The entree station had four different rice (balas) preparations. There was Basmati rice, a savory rice and two of the balas were sweetened with fruit and spices. All were tasty. The proteins were primarily chicken selections, but there was a beef koobideh that was also delicious. There were a broad selection of lentil and vegetable stews, so I made multiple trips to the station eating them as a side dish to a protein, over basmati rice and savory rice preparations. It may have been a cultural fax paux, but I treated the falafel like a cornbread muffin as I enjoyed the stewed vegetables and lentils. It was a good meal polished off with a serving of baklava.
