The majority of my communication with her was through call and email. She was very helpful and answered a lot of my questions. For anything that she was not sure of, she quickly got me an answer same day or within 24 hours. She was very straightforward about the construction happening on site so I was Prepared before I toured the place with my daughter. Even though my daughter eventually chose to have her birthday elsewhere, I still greatly appreciate how kind Andrea was during my selection process. Thank you for your great customer service!

Wish I could give this spot zero stars. This has to be the worst YMCA I've ever been to. None of…read morethe staff know what's going on. When asked about any of the forms they all say they don't know. I asked if I could talk to someone who knows what's going on and they said no as their director, who they inform me is supposed to be in at 10AM, is not here at 10:45. We were also told someone would be calling us. Never happened. They can't even tell who made our account and gave us inaccurate information because whoever did was using someone else's account. The staff conduct is so incredibly unprofessional. We now have to pay for that persons mistake. The other girl at the front desk is on her phone laughing as we are trying to explain what is going on. The facility is nice enough, just so disappointing that anytime you need help this is how they treat you.

The dedicated staff provides intentional, personalized instruction in small class settings, ensuring each student's individual needs are met. The engaging, challenging curriculum encourages students to think critically, explore new ideas, and develop a love of learning. The OLS Summer Program is also well organized, with academics in the morning and fun enrichment activities in the afternoon. Parents have the convenience of purchasing a school-provided lunch for a small fee, with options such as Panda Express, Subway, McDonald's, and Chipotle. OLS is a great choice for families looking for a supportive, engaging, and enriching learning environment year-round.

This summer, we learned that our daughter was disciplined by being made to stand against the wall as a "time out" for running around the center. This was never disclosed to us as part of the school's discipline policy, and we were not informed at the time it happened, we only found out because our daughter mentioned it. Even more concerning, our daughter told us another child was made to stand against the wall as well, and was reportedly told "who told you you could sit down" when he tried to sit. We don't know every detail of that second incident, but if true, it points to a culture of discipline that relies on humiliation and intimidation rather than positive guidance. We've reported this formally and are waiting on a response. A call was promised today (7/2/26) however, I have not received a call yet. Until we see real accountability and a change in disciplinary practices, we can't recommend this school anymore.

The staff and sensei's provide such a fun, loving, welcoming, and happy environment to the kids. My daughter has enjoyed everyday that she went so much! Drop offs are a breeze but the pick ups are tough because she never wants to leave. You can tell that everyone who works here truly love what they do and cares about every person who walks through their doors. I had to pick up my daughter in the afternoon to take her to an appointment and the staff was so flexible with my request! They let me pick her up at the field trip and they let me drop her back off at the center. She missed getting ice cream because of the appointment but the instructor saved one for her when she got back this place is magical and wonderful!

This review has been long overdue, and I'm so glad I finally had the chance to write it…read more About a year ago, I decided I wanted my boys to start jiu-jitsu. As a mom, I believe it's so important for children to learn basic self-defense not because I expect something bad to happen, but because I want them to have the confidence and skills to protect themselves if they ever need to. At first, my boys were nervous and intimidated. We visited a few schools before making a decision, but from the moment we walked into Teragi, we knew this place was different. Everyone made us feel like family. The professors and coaches are exceptional not only because of their experience and skill, but because they genuinely care about every child. They encourage, support, and meet each child where they are. I especially want to mention my youngest. Jiu-jitsu didn't come naturally to him at first, and he struggled to understand the techniques. The professors and coaches were incredibly patient and never made him feel like he was behind. They allowed him to learn at his own pace, and now it's amazing to see how much his confidence and skills have grown. That patience meant so much to our family. There's no pressure for kids to be the best. Every child learns differently, and the professors and coaches truly understand that. Since we homeschool, Teragi has become more than just a place to train. My boys have made wonderful friendships, and we've found an incredible community. I also have to mention how clean the academy is! It never has that old gym smell and is always welcoming. I've watched both of my boys grow not only physically, but mentally and emotionally. They're more confident, disciplined, and respectful. If you're on the fence about jiu-jitsu because you don't like the idea of your child being on the ground, I completely understand. I felt the same way. But the reality is that many real-life self-defense situations end up on the ground, and knowing what to do can make all the difference. Thank you, Teragi, for creating such an incredible environment for our children. We are so grateful to be part of the Teragi family, and I couldn't recommend this academy more.

The owners, professors, and coaches have cultivated a superb gym culture. This gym is safe, friendly, and supportive. The facility is modern and clean, and they've invested in a foam block subfloor beneath the mats for softer landings. As far as I know, this is the only gym in the area that offers women-only classes four times per week and a bi-monthly community open mat for gentlemen 40 years and older. My kids train here after school 4-5 days a week, and they love it. The kids' professors and coaches are experienced and amazing teachers. I'm especially thankful for the young coaches who were so patient and kind to my boys when they were hesitant and shy after first starting. And my pocketbook is especially thankful for the discounted rates for additional family members. If you're looking for a place where the whole family can train, grow, and feel welcome, I can't recommend Teragi highly enough.
