Ok! We got 2 karate kid at home now, and they are so thrilled with their class, and how they start to have confidence and trust are no joke! They trained with other kids as the Instructor in my kids class too, and it sure is made my kids felt by saying "I want to be like them (the young instructors) and soon like Mr Sims and Mr Finney!" It's always pack in Placentia each time the course is on, and for sure it has a reason! The sensei's are best in engaging with the kids and the way they would made kids from cranky, crying by talking on their eye level was always best! I saw that on my kid, since my third is kinda hard, they nailed it and for sure, I'm happy for our good decision to have their class here. What a wonderful studio! We came in for our trial and felt so welcome and so at home. We have only taken 2 classes and my two kids cannot get enough.One thing to note, they do an amazing job of educating you on what to expect. Right after signing up, we received a video telling us about the studio and its history. Followed up with an educational video on how to tie the belt properly. I truly feel like we had all of our questions we didn't know we even had answered. Not to mention the uniform was provided, a t-shirt and the most informational packet to help a non karate mom. As a working mom, it gives me great relief knowing that my kids are safe, having fun, and learning some very important skills that will help them develop both mentally and physical, as well as learning self-control, discipline, respect, honor, and so much more. My kids enjoyed the after school program so much that when given the choice for many of the programs in our area, both of my kids (independent from one another) chose to go to their summer camp as well. Both of my kids have been promoting and participating in the Belt Progression Ceremonies, and this is just the icing on the cake. They come home most days with their homework completely finished, and are excited when they get to promote to the next belt, and have a whole new group of friends that are learning how to be their best "selves" that they can be. I absolutely, 1000%, LOVE this place for so many reasons, but to be honest.... It is the BEST place that I have found compared to many places in the Yorba Linda and Placentia areas that I would not even take my time to write a small review about. All of the people including the owners, instructors, and all of the staff have really made this studio like a 2nd home for my kids, and I truly consider them to be like family. If you are a concerned parent who tends to worry about your kids, like ME, look no further for your new afterschool and/or summer program.
