The preschool program is so great (especially the lovely Miss Karen Foley!!! ) The swimming program is so great and ALL the instructors are just amazing with the kids. My son has been in swimming since he was -1 and I've loved EVERY instructor. LOVED! While watching my son's classes I also have observed the special needs instructors and have almost teared up at how patient and encouraging they are with even the most challenging of special needs children. They are patient with the kids and professional dealing with the parents. Our kids are currently at the Duck and Otter level and they look forward to lessons and meeting their "coaches" each session. When dealing with the office staff, they too have been extremely helpful in refunding money for sessions we've had to cancel due to vacations/conflicts and calling to let us know of availability in sessions we are wait-listed for. I highly recommend them for their swim lessons as well as friendliness in customer service during open swim times.

I loved falling asleep to the gentle sounds of steel wheels hitting train tracks as a kid, and now that I live in midtown Sacramento, I still get to hear it, and it makes me happy. I'll stop being a Sheldon Cooper, and get on with it. Although trains have not stopped here for many years, the Loomis Train Depot has recently been restored to its former glory as a historical point of interest train station in the heart of the town of Loomis. You can't miss it. Just follow Horseshoe Bar Road from the Loomis exit off of I-80, past Taylor Road, until it dead ends at Blue Anchor Park, behind Taylor's, where you should also stop for a Golden Eagle Shake. GO DOHS! It is currently the site of town hall meetings, and inside you'll find a gavel and courtroom style chair set up along with a small train museum for enthusiasts. It's also an awesome venue for a small party or in this month's case, a bridal shower. There are plenty of chairs, tables, and a kitchen complete with sink, trash cans, microwave and fridge. I liked this location as a venue so much that I have my eye on it for the future. When I have a need to go to the post office I like coming here after just to chill at one of the picnic tables. I don't know if I would do this during summer time, though, during our triple digit weather since there are no trees or shade. During summer there are many community events held here including Roseville's Downtown Tuesday Night where every Tuesday night from May to July (except July 4th) they close off most of Vernon Street to bring in over 100 participating vendors, live entertainment, great bands, a kid's fun zone, arts and crafts, delicious foods, a Classic Car Show, and a wine and beer garden. This is for the uninitiated. Hopefully, those reading this review never gets the experience of…read morehaving to visit this center. Except maybe for the mandated jury duty that is. We were here for a traffic violation of the texting variety. Parking was packed even before 9 on a Monday. Got through to security and proceeded to get our service wait tickets via an e-kiosk. It took about 10 minutes before we were registered and told to go to room 30 where the traffic violations were being heard. Upon entering this courtroom, the judge was hearing testimony from a police officer while the "violating" party sat in the table a few chairs from him. Mikes were sensitive enough for testimonies to be heard inside. I figured that those who contested their citations went first as the arresting officer were present during the hearing. This went on for some time, and a 15-minute recess ended the scheduled disputes. It went like a breeze after that as those with petty traffic citations were summoned in batches of three's. I sat with my teen during the proceeding and the judge was thankful for my presence. We luckily got off a forgiveness as this first-time violator was a minor. We spent a total of 2 hrs and 30 minutes overall. Not quite what I planned for a Monday morning, but I'm sure glad it got the result it did.
