Good local pediatrician. Easy to get appointment usually and all the medical team has been very nice.

I am very surprised to see negative reviews of the Pediatric Center. From day one at the free baby class, I have been greeted by nothing but knowledgeable and helpful staff. We have been going there for the last 9 years, and they have always been there for us. During Covid when other pediatricians offices were sending their patients to CVS and urgent care centers, the Ped Center was open, standing out in the cold to see all the children AND their families. They are there whenever I have needed them, and I have been there on almost every holiday. I have never been told no, or there is no time for my child. I was hugged and supported as my son was taken out of the office via ambulance at one of our worst moments. Romelia, the nurse practitioner called to check on me in the following days, which is rare these days. Nurse practitioner Clare McKegney has never judged or laughed at any silly questions I have. Dr Moskowitz spent many visits explaining how best to help my child, helping him to avoid the hospital, and ensuring we are making the best choices for him. I know a lot of the staff by name, and they are always kind and caring. Dr Chin, Dr Visci have always been so helpful and caring. They speak to the child, and not just the parents. My 9 months old waited 50 minutes naked then get cold, of course her brother also gets cold thanks to her! Never waited this long before with our previous pediatrician in JC city. Also i made it clear that i wanted appointment with Dr Denis, they put us with another Dr without any upfront explanation. This is unacceptable! If you have too many patient just don't make appointment! Would never come back here again! read more

Great service and amazing staff! If you want to get good childcare and have a great pediatrician, definitely consider going here. Every visit is exciting and everyone at this place is friendly and knows what they are talking about. The wait to see a doctor is not long at all and there are many activities in the waiting area that the kids and adults can busy themselves with. Have been taking my son here for 16yrs. I felt consistancy was important to maintain his health. Dr.s were all good. However the office staff was terrible. Nasty, snotty, and unhelpful for appointments, referrals and insurance paperwork. Too much trouble. Sports physicals were a yearly tribulation...unless you wanna pay an extra $10 over the $10 fee to get it done in a short 1-3 days??? Fed up when referral was botched and mngr tried calling me a liar. Stay far away...not worth losing your cool. read more

We feel extremely lucky to have found Dr. Shih. She's not only competent and brilliant at what she does but is super personable and you instantly feel a connection. I remember 1day postpartum in the hospital when I was struggling with c-section recovery and a crying baby, I wondered if breastfeeding was even on the table. But Dr. Shih literally taught me first hand how to navigate through this journey. Those first few months when every little thing scares new moms very easily, I knew Dr. Shih and pediatric center was literally a phone call away and I would always get a call back within few minutes reassuring that my daughter and I are in safe hands. Not only that but Dr. Shih was able to diagnose two different things not once but twice that could have easily been neglected and had it not been for her, we would have never known. And for that I'm forever in her debt. Be it a small cough or fever or something big, even if Dr. Shih was unavailable she made sure to direct us towards other wonderful doctors such as Dr. Chin. Pediatric center is a good 45 min drive from our house but I can never imagine having another pediatrician for my daughter. Thank you for all that you do Dr.shih! God bless you read more

We love the pediatric center! My four year old twin girls have been going there since birth. They are so accommodating and the doctors are the best. We see de Claire,dr Moskowitz and dr chin on the regular and they are all amazing. They are open seven days a week and always there when we need them! read more

This is the best group of children pediatricians in the area. Our daughter has been seeing them since birth and she knows all the doctors name and not afraid when going in for a visit. We highly recommend this practice. read more

This place came recommended, and i started going after delivering my daughter -so i continued to go throughout the first year for checkup/shots although the office staff unfriendly and rude- and the doctors (almost all) the worst. The staff never has a smile. They do not call to confirm appointments. They charge you for paperwork. They keep you on hold forever. If you are to call for information (what shots are needed next) they do not know OR WORSE each staff member will give you contradicting/incorrect information. The doctors- I have been there 2 times for something that was miss diagnosed the first time- so i had to make a trip back and they still charge for the copay even though the doctor misdiagnosed and didn't check thoroughly- which in the end just caused my daughter more pain and discomfort. On another occasion my daughter who had a 2nd/3rd ear infection was told to just let it take it course- ("they do not like to give medicine") thank god i got a 2nd opinion after a 103 fever that night- where she was immediately put on a antibiotic to heal the infection and avoid hearing LOSS! On another 2 occasions i had to call the doctors overnight due to high spikes in fever (another ear infection/ flu) and they act bothered and upset to be called late at night. The list can even go on- I've gone on the weekend when they have the emergency visits, and they wouldn't open the door (i was 5 minutes passed the 11am closing time- although i saw patients inside) or answer the phone for me - with a sick kid. I had to wait until someone left ot grab the door and march in for them to see my daughter- again crying from fevers. we had a tough first year at school with being sick- and this place is not accommodating, their not warm, and most importantly not educated. These doctors are clearly NOT here for the children. This place is SOLEY about the visits and the money. The more they can bill the insurance out of the visits the better for them and their pockets. Ive taken my mother their on numerous times when i couldn't find/get into another pediatrician and she was just as appalled - and understood my frustration. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. read more

I'm shocked that there are any negative reviews of the Pediatric Center! Before my little one was born, we took the baby class which was so informative. When he came around we started seeing Dr. Chin who is so fabulous. She spends time with us, remembers previous visits and asks follow up questions, and answers all the many silly New parent questions I ask. Appointments are easy to get, and everyone is so friendly. Location is super convenient for me (within walking distance) and the patient portal is easy! I've asked questions through it to avoid wasting the nurses time on the phone. Also, I always get confirmation calls so not sure what the other review is talking about! A charge for paperwork is very standard so I wasn't surprised at that. I look forward to many more visits! read more

Had been bringing my children here since they were born, three years ago. Recently, my kids were sick with a fever and had signs of strep/croup (barking cough, hoarse, sore throat). We were scheduled for a car visit (they don't do telemedical visits), and the nurse made my two children with croup sit on a wet concrete wall outside in a parking lot for an exam, rudely demanded a COVID test (which I refused - the symptoms pointed to strep or croup... and we were weirdly sitting on wet concrete in the parking lot), and then did not offer a diagnosis or any follow up. Never got to speak with their doctor. Find a different pediatrician. We got better care at the local Urgent Care, who confirmed they had croup (and helpfully answered my questions about the COVID tests, which all came back negative) and prescribed prednisone. Twins are much better now. Never going back. read more

The facility is using in-house lab charge $85/ physical check, plus $20 for vision and $20 for hearing check, all these charges are not covered by insurance. I have never experienced such changes before, all stuffs never smiled. Dr Shih is super mean , impatient and unreasonable. A nightmare experience with her. Never again read more

We also love The Pediatric Center! Started coming here 6 years ago and just realized it has never occurred to me to look elsewhere. The doctors are each different personalities and I've seen them all. Bottom line is very practical, accessible and consistent care. You can call and actually speak with your doctor the same day and they have walk in every day. With the coronavirus I guess that has changed but I see they are offering telemedicine now! I was just thinking about what my plan might be for my kids if they got sick and realized I can count on these doctors and owed them a 5 star review. read more

Packed waiting room, long wait times. We came for a wellness exam, a covered service with no copay under insurance. I was in for a surprise when I received bills for diagnostic services and an extra office visit. Discussed with insurance, the doc billed for all kinds of unnecessary diagnostic screens, even though we came to the office with no issues or concerns. Tried to discuss this with them and they blew me off. Also offered us the convenience of having our child's blood draw in office for an extra fee of $80. There are better options out there. read more

The first time we went to them, my then 9 month old was extremely sick and ended up requiring hospitalization. The doctors were attentive, compassionate, and helpful to me as a new mom. Since then they have assisted both my kids with on site lactation consultant, walk in hours, friendly office staff, and helpful nurses. read more

I'm shocked at some of these low reviews. We love The Pediatric Center and have consistently been impressed by the staff's kindness, humor, and diligence when it comes to our infant and toddler's health care. Some of the things we love: easily reachable after hours and on weekends (weekend appointments have saved us many times), all of the docs and NPs, lactation support, ability to squeeze us in when needed, consistently excellent and compassionate care, with all of our questions answered. We have occasionally experienced a long wait time once in the room but it is made up for when the appointment begins. The docs and NPs take the time to talk to us about our concerns, lifestyle, schedule, etc and help us come up with solutions where needed. My boys are young but I frequently see older teenagers or college kids in the waiting room who have been coming since they were babies. I feel so grateful we found The Pediatric Center and would recommend it to anyone. read more

Great doctors, horrendous staff. They charge to fill out a 1-page form, then they make your wait weeks before they even send it to you.
