We are staying in an Airbnb, having just moved to the area and are awaiting our place to be ready for move in. We first tried another drop off wash/fold service first. And were very disappointed. So, our expectations were tempered and we went there just planning to do our own laundry. When we arrived, we found out that the owner does the wash/fold service. She is simply amazing. Small but enough to get the job done. At the time of this review, the top loading washers are $2.00, smaller side loading $3.25 ($3.75 with heavy duty option), and $6 for very large loads. Although the top loader is the cheapest, people seem to not use them so not sure if they don't work very well. It's .25 cents per 5 minutes ($1.50 for 30 minutes to save you on the math). They have a kids room too. They have several tables for folding and a few carts. There's probably only 8 parking spots but across the street is a huge parking lot. read more

I should have checked when closing time was, but I didn't. The owner was just getting ready to close when I got there. I had 5 laundry baskets of laundry (my dryer broke, so I needed to do my large family's laundry for the week). The owner stayed open 2 extra hours for me to get all laundry washed and dried. Very appreciative of how kind and helpful owner was and will go back again, if needed. read more

The owners husband was extremely racist to me. the machines are old and don't work well. the machines leak all over the floor. I dont recommend this place. there is a new Sheldon that has new machines they was your cloths better are faster and less expensive and most of all they are not racist read more

I am not one to post reviews, just read everyone else's. But felt I needed to post a good review when my washer decided to stop working and had a pile of dirty laundry, with the repair person not coming for 4 days. Being a amateur and not knowing the ins and outs of coin laundry, I stepped up, loaded up my car and off I went to Plainfield Coin Laundry. I was in and out in 90 minutes, change machines at the ready, had help from other customers and the owner. I noticed she had an area for those that forgot laundry detergents, bleach and fabric softener, free...we all know that happens to the best of us. There was a sign that said free wifi, but no password. I'm guessing you just had to ask, same for the restrooms which are locked. Clean and nice, a huge help to a stressed out Mom. read more

I go here weekly for my laundry. The owner is the sweetest lady ever! It's fairly hot today so she gave everyone a cold bottle of water. She knows who I am and keeps washers and dryers open for me on my regular days, without holding people up of course! she helps me know when my laundry cycle ends (I have a hard time keeping track) she's just so sweet, the place is clean, it's cool, there is a kids room with an outlet in there (Yes I've snuck in to charge my phone) and it's a trustworthy place read more

I love this laundromat. While it isn't a huge one, it has multiple washers, as well as dryers, of MANY sizes. The owner is a very sweet woman, greeting you as you walk in the door. Has soap and what not available for sale. And I do believe you can even pay to have your laundry down. This will now be "my laundromat!" And I'll be visiting weekly. read more

Honestly this is not the closest laundromat to my apartment but the owner is so sweet and kind that I always go here. She hands out cold waters to customers and asks how you're doing and if there's anything she can help with. They have free detergent if you've forgotten yours or run out! read more

The owners of this laundromat are exceptionally kind. I walked in without having a clue what to do as I've always done laundry at my home. As soon as I walked through the door, the attendant was there to guide me through the process. She helped me find an appropriate size washing machine for my large comforter and help me set it. Although I remembered my own laundry detergent, they had a stash of free laundry detergent and bleach for those who have forgotten. I also watched as she interacted with other patrons who are clearly regulars. She played with their toddler while they worked on their laundry. I'll definitely bring my comforter back next time it needs washing. read more

We Don't frequent laundromats much, but we were on vacation. So here i was in unfamiliar territory. The owner/operator is "knee" and she was incredible! So helpful, intuitive, and generous. She helped me to less expensive machines for the loads I had, told me to go across the street for cheaper dryer sheets. She even tossed in a couple of "fluffers" for my big comforter. Then she passed out cold waters to all the patrons. Free! This woman was a joy!! I'd go back here in a heartbeat. read more

I recently moved to Grand Rapids downsizing to an apartment with no washer and dryer. Which I've never not had a washer and dryer in my home in my life so it's really an inconvenience. The apartments cost to wash and dry increased to a ridiculous amount so I decided to find a laundromat near me. The first time I visited Coin & Laundry it was clean, plenty washers for dryers, and the owner Ne, was very hospitable and displayed good customer service. I love it! I've been twice and each time has been an in and out experience. For you who have kids that you must bring, there is a tv/play room designed for them to play and lounge. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to wash without hassle. I don't know what the cost look like at other laundromats but it's cheaper than the laundry facility where I live and this is now my new spot! read more
