My favorite classes were math, science, and chorus. I especially want to make note of the chorus teacher. This young man was a pleasure to watch work!!!! He was incredibly patient, energetic, and engaging!!! I was in band in middle school as a kid and would have loved to have a teacher like him when I was in school. The other classes were fun as well. The kids were kind and friendly which says a much about the staff!!! Keep up the good work everyone at Croan, I feel my tax dollars are well spent.

I really love the staff as well - I feel completely spoiled by all the good people working at WSCA. They also started offering extended day options for houses with two working parents...because it's a little known fact that not all Naperville mothers stay at home playing Bunco in their lululemon outfits all day. Some of us suckers have to work! I think there are like 12-15 of us, so.....we'd like a little recognition. :(

The…read moreeducation is what you'd expect for three year olds (identifying and writing letters, counting, patterning, painting, etc.) but what I love most is that it really helps your child develop a love of school because while it is very academic, it is also very nurturing. In addition to classroom time, the kids alternate between music and motor movement so it really prepares your child for an elementary school day where they leave the classroom for specials. We are on our sixth teacher there and they are all great but Mrs. Snyder, Mrs. Gorkis and Mrs. Miller are THE BEST!!!!!! One of my favorite things about the school and the teachers is that they are very flexible and don't just care about your child that is your student - they care about your other kids and your whole family. Mrs. Gorkis only taught one of my daughters (wah) but she knew all of their names and would always address them by name and remember things that they had said and were interested in. We have one more year there after this year and I am going to be really, really sad when my youngest is in kindergarten and we won't attend this lovely school anymore. BEST. SCHOOL. EVER!!!!!!

The stability and structure of the school gives my boys great comfort. The teachers are consistent, loving, and work very hard in the classroom to help each child. What have we accomplished with this school? - My 5-year-old is reading. Very well. He is also a proficient writer, budding speller, and excelling in math. His social skills have had a chance to flourish and he enjoys helping kids younger than him learn things he has already mastered. - My 3-year-old is becoming a writer, mastering letter sounds, learning practical life skills, working on social skills, and making friends. - Personally, I feel that I have been given tools to help my kids at home through meaningful conferences, I have made friends (difficult after a big move), back up and support for any of my kids' challenging behaviors, and peace of mind that that are in a loving environment during the school day. This is a school, not a daycare, so if you are looking for flexible hours, flexible tuition, or zero responsibility on your end this is not the place for you. It is a collaborative effort between home and school. That being said, the teaching staff/ owner have gone above and beyond for my kids more than once. We are in our second year here (Kindergarten year and 2nd-year Montessori) and we will keep attending for the foreseeable future. Final thought: I am DELIGHTED at how my older son is progressing through his kindergarten year. I am so incredibly glad that we chose the third year of Montessori for him! By the end of the first week brown blankie stayed home and he was excited to go to school each day. This school helped his personality shine through and he is now Mr. Social and loves making new friends, a drastic change from when we started. He will enter kindergarten reading at a 2nd/3rd grade level and 2nd grade level math. This school has been well worth the investment in the foundation for my son's education. Per the contract a refund is issued if notice is given after the payment for the final month is processed. We gave notice at the end of July 2025 that August 2025 would be our last month and were told a refund would be issued by check since the August payment had poceessed on July 15th. All of this was confirmed on July 29th 2025. I am writing this on August 10th 2026 and after many inquiries we still have no refund. The head of the school, Robin, and teachers were all lovely but the process to receive the money contractually due to us has been a nightmare. If you send your child there please plan enough ahead to not be swindled out of $1900 for a year. It looks like we will be forced to file in small claims court and with the IL Attorney General to get our money back.
