As a past pre-professional dancer, I really lost a big part of my life when I quit for college. The Atlanta Ballet offers some of the most solid ballet education classes that I've taken, apart from the dance classes I grew up on. The Adult Open classes are great for any dancer of any age, size and level. I myself enjoy the beginning/intermediate level and the intermediate level. I recently took the Tuesday night intermediate ballet class with Carol, which was hard for me to get accustomed to, since she has a different training style than I grew up on. But she recognized that and was very helpful. The studio itself is a bit outdated, located on the second floor of the Buckhead Centre plaza. There were two dance studios (that I could see), two dressing rooms and a large waiting area. The rooms aren't exactly soundproof so the music from the other studio leaked into ours pretty often. But you got used to it fast. Overall, a great class and experience at the Atlanta Ballet. I will definitely be back!

At all. It is way outside his comfort zone but Mr. Edwards and the rest of the instructors are excellent. Our instructor (Mr. Edwards) had my husband at ease within 10 minutes and it's been smooth sailing ever since. Mr. Edwards is excellent - he clearly explains the steps as well as showing us. He is also very patient and does not move forward until we are comfortable with the steps. I will be continuing at Arthur Murry after the Groupon coupon is finished and I highly recommend this studio.

At the end of class, the beginners group and the advanced group danced together in a circle. I didn't enjoy that as much, since I was 60% confused what with it being my first class and all. But the advanced dancers were actually very nice, except for one woman who yelled "wrong way" when I messed up a turn and kinda ruined the vibe for me. Girl, this is not Fame and you are not Debbie Allen, let me 'lone! Overall, the class was lots of fun and I can't wait to get to keep going and get a little better!

This is our 11th year as part of the Rhythm family and each year just gets better than the last. I could not have picked a better studio for my girls. From the staff to the facility to the training -it has all been such a positive experience for our entire family. Becca and Dani (as well as the rest of their staff) work tirelessly to ensure that the dance instruction the students receive is first class. We call it our Rhythm family and that is exactly what they are. The relationships my girls and I have made will last a lifetime. I feel incredibly blessed to have such a fabulous studio in our area.

Best atlanta salsa and chacha student dancers come out of the dance schools here. Period.

Do not book with them! Please read below…read more My fiancé and I took an intro class to see if we like the class, which we did. We wanted to book their wedding package but didn't know when to book it. Ray (worker) convinced us to buy it in advance and start the classes around August 2025 before our wedding in November. We book their class no contract was signed nor any explanation of terms and conditions. There is no refund policy display on their website. We asked for a refund by calling in and spoke with the owner Sam and explained why we needed a refund and apologized for the inconvenience in advance. For we called months in advance before starting the classes. Sam said he would call me back and never did. I called back multiple times, over a week later no response. Sam finally called me back stating he won't issue a refund because they simply just don't that and advise to sell my intro to someone else so they can pay me and take our wedding package. I told him that was not legal to refuse a refund with advice provided from his workers to book in advance for our wedding without us signing anything or having a policy anywhere displayed. Sam stated he will call me back in a few days with a solution and never did once again. I called back two days ago asking for Sam to call me and never received a call. It's been another week now. The company is simply "ghosting" us. The company has multiple different numbers all which I reached out too. The only cancellation policy they have does not pertain to any of their wedding packages only private lessons and group classes which is separate to their wedding package. We ultimately paid $750. We cancelled our wedding package because our wedding venue property has been sold and had to cancelled our wedding due to the inconvenience.

So, I figured I would share it so that others know about it. We were waiting for our class to begin and we overheard Rex, the studio owner screaming and berating one of his students. It wasn't like he was being a "firm" teacher, he was insulting his student by SCREAMING insults at her like you are "fucking stupid". It went on and on.....We couldn't take it anymore. I said something to him about it being unprofessional and disrespectful to treat women this way and we left. We asked for our money back. But, he refused. DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THIS MAN. Nobody should be rewarded for this kind of behavior. We unfortunately referred some friends to the studio for private lesson. They got paired with Rex, the owner. He no showed them twice. Again, disrespectful of their time by the owner, Rex. They now know they dodged a bullet when I told them what happened. There are so many dance studios to choose from. So, choose a different one!

Back to childhood. I…read morecame to Dance Stop at this location (now relocated to 4400 Roswell Road) and was under the tutelage of Mrs. Kathy (for beginners), Miss Amy (adv. beginners), and for a little bit, Miss Forsberg (pointe). I adore Mrs. Kathy; she is an incredible instructor and so good with all the kids. She is very kind and always encouraged students to perform at the utmost of their ability and it was understood that it is always a pleasure to have Miss Kathy's praise. Miss Amy, however, was a different story. She was always 15 minutes late, and came to class with her hair in a ponytail. She would then proceed to take another 5 minutes to put up her hair and yell at the kids whose hair didn't stay in place or wasn't in a tight bun. (I found out later that she brushed her teeth at the beginning of every class...and it took 15 minutes. Hm...?) We spent another 15-20 minutes stretching, doing lots of exercises from before and then -maybe- learning one new move. I didn't learn much after several months, and that was when I started to dislike ballet from the boredom of every class. (FYI Amy left a while back. Hmm, I wonder why?) I moved onto pointe, and I loved it under Miss Forsberg (we called her "Madame"), until my toes started bleeding and I had to stop dancing all together. They say that you have to go under all this training for muscle memory, and yes, it does take muscle memory to become a good ballerina, but I thought it excessive. The studio also offers jazz and modern under Ryan Hall. What do I think? I think you should take your money and time to Atlanta Ballet, not here. I've been to both and AB is far superior in formal training and seriousness.
