I canceled my membership in August 2025. I found out recently that I was still being charged. I reached out to my bank and had them put a cancel on the payment. I also reached out to the 800 number and spoke to a customer service rep. This individual was extremely rude, snarky, and not helpful at all. He told me that if I don't make the payment that he would put me in collections, and it would hurt my credit score. He also continued to ask me if I had any type of proof that I canceled my membership. The phone conversation ended up with me hanging up on him. 10 minutes later I start receiving multiple text messages from planet fitness telling me that I owed them membership dues. This was followed up with an email from planet fitness saying that there is a $20 late charge for a membership that I canceled last year. I went to the club and spoke with an employee and he helped to resolve my issue. I don't have a lot of expectations for gyms mainly because I don't gym much. My daughter requested a gym membership while on holiday break, so I bought us a PF membership. When we visited, the staffer was very friendly in explaining how things work. They don't offer pizza or bagels currently, but they're working on getting that action going one or two days per week. We downloaded the PF app and checked in digitally. I invited my daughter as my guest. The locker room was clean, the locker doors are all in tact, and you have to bring your own lock or get one from the front desk. I used a treadmill and an ellyptical for about 45 minutes for my first workout. The equipment worked perfectly, including measuring my heart rate, calories, and time. The treadmills are height and speed adjustable and they face a row of TVs for your viewing pleasure. I listened to my own music, even though there is music playing in the background. You have to clean the equipment each time you are done with it, but not everyone does this and when they do, they don't actually make an effort. But I make an effort to clean the equipment because I understand why we have to clean the equipment. On my second visit, I was able to use some of the weight machines, which I very much enjoyed. This location is not very crowded, so that is my jam. read more

It's clean and it's what you might expect. Lots of treadmills, lots of equipment. It's open early during the week. It's cheaper than any other work-out facility in the area. Visiting early evening, on a Tuesday, the facility was full of people working out. There is ample noise in the background. There are TVs and music on at the same time. They feature a Judgement free zone. Cancel anytime. It's easy to get that work out in with your schedule. read more

They lie about ways to cancel and make it very difficult. You actually cannot cancel next month over 30 days in advance. They make you come into the location even if you have moved!! Just ridiculous. The equipment is not clean, patrons are gross. read more

I loved this location because it's so close to me. I had heard so many stories from people of color as to why they don't attend this location but over the years I have never had a single problem until today. An employee named McKenzie targeted me, was discriminating towards me and when I asked for a number or address to corporate or a district manager to file a complain the Manager Bri said they aren't allowed to give it out and as I was leaving McKenzie began to scream (causing a scene) get out of here, get out we don't want you here. I stay to myself, with my head phones on and don't both anyone, I just workout and go home. I called the police. I've never been so embarrassed in my life. read more

Planet Fitness uses predatory billing practices to scam members. They were charging me more than twice my membership fee and when I went to cancel because of this, they told me that they were going to charge me a $50 annual fee (I had the membership for about two months) even though it wasn't supposed to be billed until the next month. In the end, they stole over 3x what I had agreed to pay for their services. read more

This Planet Fitness is the cleanest I have used. The staff is friendly and tend to remember you when you come to visit. I am a black member and love the massage chairs! I have never had an issue with broken machines.The only con I have is I wish this location had auto check in at a kiosk for black card services like another location I attended. read more

I joined Planet Fitness last week. I was not expecting much due to some of the reviews, but it is very close to where I live. I have been pleasantly surprised by how nice it is. The place is immaculate, and the staff couldn't be nicer or more professional. I am in physical therapy for chronic back pain. James told me to get a list of the exercises I do there for my back and sciatica. He said he would find comparable machines, and help me with my exercises during the week. I am very impressed by the staff that is ready and willing to help me. So far I can only say the best about the equipment, the social distancing, and the wonderful staff that works there. The workers at the counter are very personable and accomodating but the management on staff was extremely cold and disrespectful. Very disappointed. My sister came in visiting from DC and we had a horrible experience at this gym. Not only was she unable to use the gym, but she was kicked out of the building. The female manager on staff handled the situation unprofessionally and created a very embarrassing situation for both me and my sister. read more

Never felt so uncomfortable in a gym setting. The staff is beyond rude. Especially management. None of them look like they have worked out a day in their life. Gyms are a guest oriented environment. Somebody needs to tell them that. In a pandemic when every guest counts, you would think they would show some courtesy. Nope. I came in with a friend several weeks ago, and she was told she couldn't use her leg bands. Said they are not part of their gym. Even though they have huge bands hanging on the wall. My friend explained that there where some in the gym. She was told to put them away or she would be escorted out. WTF ??!! She was trying the gym out, being that she just moved to the area. For $10.68/month this place can't be beat! Very clean, and not overly crowded. Plenty of things to do including the standard treadmill/elliptical/bikes/stepper/arc machines, plus rowing machines, a PF 360, free weights, machine weights, a 30-minute workout in a separate room (like Curves) and an ab room with 2 stretching machines. I just wish there were more classes (I'd pay!) Note that you need to sign in at the front desk if you want to join any of the sessions - otherwise they may not be held. read more

I am a new member at planet fitness. I have been in customer service for 20 years. Yes I am 60 years old LOL. I thought it would be a super great idea to get a membership at planet fitness. It has all the facilities that I would use. Never once have I ever written a negative review to anybody in customer service. I feel like people just sometimes have bad days and the customer service isn't always there. I do however have to write a review about this location. When I came in and signed up. It was very hectic I understand that. I was not given the numbers and tools to download an app to my telephone. So of course I stayed after it hoping that someone at this location might provide some help to me. This did not happen time and time again. I was told the second time that I came in that if I did not have an app downloaded that I would not be able to use the facility or the membership that I just paid for. Since that time I have continued to come in and have been treated rudely by an employee named philip. I realize that their jobs may be busy and they have a lot of people to deal with. As do I in my business. The situation got so bad with this particular employee that I spoke to the general manual manager named Jared. Jared did not give me the time of day, and was not interested in any way appearing me out. I then did some research to the local people that I know go to planet fitness. And low and behold they were having the same problems. I'm so terribly disappointed.. I then was going to sign up my elderly dad also at this location. Now when I come into the facility it is very clear that they have pointed me out to all of the employees. And I still do not get the time of day. Wow I really hate writing a review like this. It takes my valuable time your valuable time. I do however think that nothing is going to change in this situation and there are others that feel the same way.
