Definitely came up with newer aerobic equipment and added versatile weight training equipment. This location has done a very nice job of maximizing space even with additional equipment it actually seems less crowded. read more

Pretty dirty, paper towels run out and are not filled. Nobody is doing cardio and the manager is unwilling to change any of the 20 TVs to the nba playoffs. Very easy to solve. Will be going elsewhere. I did, the dude at the front desk spoke with the manager she was working out, witnessed her also not wiping down equipment, and not wanting to change the channels because of all the remotes. read more

Love this gym! Usually go there after 6 and it isn't really that busy. Try to tan occasionally due to a skin condition so I do hv a black card. First off the tanning beds are great, they are just in need of being taken apart to be cleaned inside. I generally take my own towels to clean the beds. Since all they offer are paper towels and the cleaning spray. I like to scrub the beds down with my towels before I use them. I just don't think paper towels are going to get stuck on sweat and tanning lotion off the bed. I have used the massage beds and they are wonderful if you need a quick post or pre workout massage. Not too fond of the massage chairs, too rough. The gym is pretty clean. Sometimes you see stuff that needs to be cleaned but it's generally because some people are gross and don't wipe off the equipment. I will have to say that the employe I see cleaning and working very hard is Ethan. He is a very hard worker and very friendly. Always helpful and never I never feel judged. Gym does offer a lot of different types of equipment: elliptical, treadmill, stair climber, rowing machine, bikes, and some others I am not familiar with. As well as endless weight machines. They do offer trainers but I have never used one. Locker rooms and showers are nice. Over all for the price you really couldn't go wrong. Only downfall for folks with kids is they do not offer child care. But for the price of the other gyms I'm sure you could find a sitter for less! read more

I want to start by saying I used to have a PF membership in another city a couple years ago but cancelled due to horrible experience. This is a review on the Boerne PF - and it's going to be Glowing! I moved here a few months ago and needed a gym. This was close and cheap so I thought I'd give PF a try. I was taken on a tour and everything was explained to me. They were up front, no frills, just a good gym with a few perks for black card members. What sets this place apart is the fact that this is probably the cleanest gym I've seen. Everyone member does their part in cleaning equipment and I always see staff cleaning as well. This is a big deal! Speaking of the staff, they are all very friendly and courteous and always willing to answer questions. I highly recommend the Boerne PF to anyone wanting a 24/7 gym with good and CLEAN equipment. Not too many class choices, but enough to keep things different if you're bored easily. read more

Completely down hill. Zero management to hold staff accountable for cleaning or exceptional customer service. The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. This gym used to be the #1 gym however now is at the bottom. I could write out a list but I'm sure you get the point. Hopefully corporate will open their eyes and get a new general manager to set expectations and hold the employees accountable. read more

The staff is unfortunately terrible. I came in to sign up all excited and the lady was not very helpful. She also didn't offer a tour or let me know what the gym has to offer. Very disappointed but I guess it comes with the cost. read more

I love this place! Classes and equipment instruction, etc., are incredibly easy to sign up for on the app...and add to my calendar. Staff members are informative and knowledgeable, pleasantly so. I'm a Silver Sneakers member and returning to health after cancer. I'm not a 'gym rat.' And I can honestly say, Planet Fitness lives up to its motto: Judgement Free Zone. read more

I love this Planet Fitness! Gorgeous outside & breathtaking inside. The BCS(Black Care Spa) is absolutely worth every penny. The majority of the staff is friendly & extremely helpful. Very clean, fun, safe place to workout! Attention to detail & sanitized frequently! Definitely a must go to gym if you have not yet been! One of the best gyms in Boerne, hands down! They have a lot of treadmills but not enough machines, Wished they had more selection but sometimes you have to wait for other people to get done/for the price you can't beat it but i hope they expand. read more

The employees (not all) are very inconsiderate and seem to think conversations that don't pertain to to work are more important than a customer at the counter. They talk down to customers and I believe it's a lack of management and training. read more

I like this gym for the most part. It's always pretty clean and the staff are friendly without being over the top. The spa part (tanning and water massagers) really amplify the desirability of the establishment as well. The only thing I don't really love is that they have all of the squat racks right at the very front and center of everything. I wish they would put at least one somewhere more discrete. (Like in one of the many oddly equipped side rooms). I've been a member for almost 6 months and have not once got up the nerve to use one of the squat racks, something I consider to be almost the entire reason for going to the gym in the first place. As a woman it makes me feel very uncomfortable, as if my backside is 100% on display and 'pointing' at everyone in the room! I get that Instagram makes it look like we all want that kind of attention, but I for one definitely don't. I wish they would take one of the many side rooms and turn it into a glute room. As it is, I may end up just canceling my membership soon. read more

Company stole $82 from me-- I was excited to use Planet Fitness while traveling and at home and decided on the $20/m black membership, signing up online. When I went into my local gym in Vancouver, Washington, I was told that my home location was in Beorne, Texas?? I was told it wasn't too big of a deal anyway because I had the Black membership and could use any PF gyms, but that they were unable to change home locations until 90 days of membership. Needless to say, I didn't want to continue my membership after about a month. Not many complaints- they were nice gyms but my schedule and other circumstances didn't make it worth it for me, so I wanted to cancel. In order to cancel, you have to either go to your home location or send a physical letter into the store. Being that my home location was in Beorne TX for some reason and they could not change it because it had not been 90 days, I sent a physical letter in the mail with all information needed. More than 2 months later, I find on my bank statements that I am still being charged monthly and that I was also charged $42 for an annual fee, totaling $82 since canceling. When I called Beorne PF, I explained my situation and was told that they supposedly never received my letter. It is also worth mentioning that when I was put on hold in order to talk to a manager, I wasn't muted and heard the female manager complaining about my call to her employee. Anyway, the manager was very unhelpful, confrontational, and told me she couldn't refund me. She gave me a different phone number to call instead. When I called this new phone number, the lady on the other end told me to just call the home store again because they couldn't do anything. This was an extremely frustrating cycle and a very slimy way for companies to make money. All in all, I essentially paid $102 for less than a month of membership that should have cost $20. I am still trying to get my money refunded but not having much luck. read more

Let me start off by saying that I really dislike the planet fitness franchise. I find it beyond obnoxious all of the "non judgement" then they judge the hell out of people who drink from jugs, drop weights and wear jeans while working out. Hey, if you're at the gym BETTERING YOURSELF, why judge folks? It's a ridiculously dumb marketing scheme but whatever. This review is for the Boerne PF. I've been to them all over the country and this is by far the cleanest PF I've been to. Specifically the guy that works the overnight shift, Brock and is there super early in the morning. He's always friendly and professional and he CLEANS like crazy. I watch him clean most mornings and he never skimps on his job, which is amazing because there's no one else there on staff to watch him. This is the main reason that I like this location so much. I have literally never seen it dirty or out of order and I really think it's because of their night shift guy. So while the premise of this gym is annoying and the colors are horrible, this location obviously takes great pride in its appearance and I think the night/morning guy should be acknowledged for the awesome job he does. read more

I based my review on the drop-down explanations, and Meh. I've experienced better describes my critique of Planet Fitness Boerne. As Sarah stated in her yelp review of this club, their whole premise of being a 'judgment-free zone' is silly and inaccurate. I pointed out that hypocrisy to a man behind the front desk; on one wall it states "Judgement Free Zone," while on the next wall there is an extensive, written judgment of a 'lunk.' I thought he and I were connecting so I said that it was F@#king hilarious and hypocritical to have 'no judgment zone' on one wall and a clear judgment on the next. If you read the description of a 'lunk' there is nothing that is especially noteworthy about the type of person except dropping weights. This morning the Manager Roman Ledesma, I will refer to him as the strutting rooster, warned me that the employee was highly offended by the word I used. I thought the man and I were sharing a lite-hearted, funny moment and now I been warned that my membership could be revoked and Roman seriously implied again that I could stop working out here and that he didn't think the judgment of a lunk was hypocritical or ironic in that it is 30' from the sign "No Judgment Zone." I have been working out for about two years at another gym in Poway, CA and before that in San Diego, CA and HAVE NEVER BEEN IN A PLACE THAT SEEMED THIS JUDGMENTAL BEFORE. Seriously, a word heard on any 6th-grade playground said in a lite-hearted way. Holy shit this is so ridiculous I had to get it down in writing before I move on with my day and forget about it. The first contact I have had with the strutting rooster has been negative. It is my hope that he will move on, because otherwise I just go in, work out and go home with generally positive experiences at a reasonable price. But the truth is, Meh, I have had better experiences, so a 2-star review is accurate. read more
