For the past 15 months ive been lifting at this planet fitness i had no issue until the new manager daniel versace came along a few months back, every time i said good afternoon or tried joking with him he would be unwelcoming and rude, i was using the locker room one day and had to burp so i did as he was walking in, and he got in me and my friends face and threatened to ban us if anything of the sort happened again. Yesterday a group of 3 girls came and recorded me and my friends face and went unpunished, this afternoon i got a voicemail saying me and my friend were banned without warning or explanation of what we did wrong. This is unfair and daniel needs to be removed he is unfit for his position and several other people have negative experiences regarding him aswell. read more

We have never seen a cleaner and well organized gym. They offer every piece of equipment one could want. Various memberships are available which is also a plus. Why not crawl off of the couch or out of your easy chair and give it a try. You will feel better about yourself and life in general, and you will get stronger or maintain what you have. My husband has been a member for at least 15 years. I have been a member for 10 years. Erica said she didn't have current account information for us and it's an auto withdraw from our bank account. She didn't take the time to check into it and was very unhelp/rude about the whole situation. I will be calling the corporate office. They took the payment out of our account for both of us on 2/18/2025. They better not even after this. I will be talking to Dan on Monday. This employee didn't care about me or my loyality with this gym for all this time, and I told her how long I have been a member. I should not have needed to, but she wasn't going to look it up or give a rats a** about anything I had to say. read more

The Bradenton Manatee club is clean and comfortable. But it needs a staff that wants to enforce rules. Because the staff won't approach members for rule violations the number of people on cell phones is growing steadily. It's annoying to try to focus on your routine with men and women talking on cell phones like they're the only ones in the gym. I like the music being played until the nearby cell phone user is talking louder than the music. I don't want to approach these people and start an argument. The staff needs to enforce their rules. A growing number of people feel the "Cell Phone Conversations In The Lobby Only" signs don't apply to them and won't respect the comfort of fellow members. read more

I love this place. The place is HUGE and CLEAN. The staff has always been great and the app tells me when it Is too crowded for comfort. Gotta be 20+ ellipticals, 30+ treadmills and an endless array of free weights and machines. Their premium membership(Black Card) was $25/mo, an incredible deal. read more

It took me a year to get motivated after being depressed to get up and go to a gym. My plan was to get the information on what was available plan wise and then at a minimum walk on the treadmill a little while because I am so out of shape. When I arrive the guy behind the counter seemed baked and uninterested. Another employee came in to start her shift and he said it is about time for me to go so you show her around. Then the girl said you still have time you do it. Talk about great customer service! NOT! Then he proceeded to give me the worst tour of a gym I have ever received. I then sat down with the girl who gave me the pricing. I said I wanted to think about it and was hoping to go walk on the treadmill. She said no that they did not give out any guest passes. I even said really and she said no. It would cost 20$ for a guest pass. If they would have even shown the least bit of interest I would have joined that day or the next. Now, there is no way. If that is how they treat a potential customer I can't even imagine the treatment you get once you join. read more

Snowbird back in town discovered the area now has 2 PF. Spent my time here last few years and found no changes, crowded, dark, people having conversations at machines whiles not using them. People rarely wipe machines down with the crazy system they have. This is mostly the old people gym, old machines, no updates. Moving to the new gym, bright, new updated equipment. read more

Everyone at the front desk is friendly and helpful. The gym space is clean and has plenty of cardio equipment, weights & machines. You never have to wait for cardio equipment which I really appreciate. If you're looking for a place to get your workout done & get on with your day (like I am) this is a good fit. If you're looking for a place to hang out, drink smoothies & mingle, this probably isn't the right place. It's a functional gym with very fair pricing and pleasant employees. First time here last Sunday afternoon. Friendly staff, mostly middle-aged patrons so felt at home. Like their layout that has the locker rooms just beyond the welcome desk and before the workout area. At others you have to walk all through the workout floor to the rear locker rooms. Plenty of overhead TV screens. Vending machines. An excellent amenity not seen before was a weight scale inside the men's locker room, should be standard in all. Located in an older strip mall that badly needs repaving, but right off State Road 64 about four miles west of US 41. read more

This place is horrible and unsafe. They state they are under construction and it is not a place that should be open to the community with a disposable men's bathroom in the middle of the facility and yellow tape throughout the facility. They have elderly clients that should not be unsupervised during this construction period. Also, I went two times because of the facility being unsafe and unclean. I have called and cancelled my non-commitment membership and they have chosen to still charge me a 52.00 fee for annual fee. Can you tell me how someone can be charged for an annual fee for only going once and canceling and talking to someone about these horrible conditions? I just got a membership a week ago, and already want to pay the $50 early membership cancellation fee. The gym itself is clean and nice, but the manager there is NOT. He is very rude, arrogant, entitled, and just an all around awful human being. He acts like he's better than everyone there, and belittles the heck out of both the employees and the members there. He is the exact opposite of what a manager should be like, and definitely shouldn't be working anywhere that deals with any type of customer service. He has completely ruined my gym experience there. I believe his name was Dave or David, and his horrendous attitude has made me feel so angry and uncomfortable there, that I don't believe I will be back. It's honestly such a shame, because the employees that I've seen there are nice and charming, and I've seen this manager treat them terribly. He's arrogant, condescending, rude, and a hot-head. He has dismissed or made excuses for any questions or concerns. I've experienced his temper - raising his voice at me. Great gym for starters; cheapest membership option in town. Very clean as well. There's plenty of spaced out equipment so you don't have to wait or feel overcrowded. I don't know about you guys but the last thing I want when I go to a gym is a huge HUGE ceiling fan blowing a cold, constant Arctic blast of wind on me as I'm on the Cybex trying to get my heart rate up and my sweat on! Enjoy Planet Fitness, but this am after my workout, I was refused when I need to use the rest room. I waited 15-20 minutes while the cleaning staff (two men) parked their cart in front of the ladies locker room. While I waited, one of the men would come to the cart and chat periodically, obviously in no rush to get the job done. A few women walked in and out. Finally, needing to use the facilities, I went in and asked if I could use the bathroom, where I was scolded, told I shouldn't be in there, etc. After a very condescending conversation from one of the men, I left and spoke to the attendant at the desk. He told me they only have men cleaning and they need to clean every half hour. My suggestion is then hire women, or provide additional rest rooms! read more

Worst gym that I have ever been to in all my travels across the US and even globally. The selection of equipment is limited. The core and ab selection is weak. The restrooms are disgusting. And get this, they charged my 15 yr old son and I $21 each to try it out as a daily fee. I asked to talk to the owner and he lives in NY and is never there. I really feel bad for the locals who have been scammed in thinking that this is a place that will help them improve their fitness level. I have been going to this gym 4 days a week for seven years now and am in good shape. I don't know about the showers because I don't use them but the rest of the facility is very clean and all of the equipment is in working order. I suspect that some of the derogatory comments here are from other gym owners/managers and I would not believe any of them other than comments on the personnel behind the counter, who are hit and miss. I mean someone complained about the fans? Come on, when I get on cardio equipment I purposely get close to them and they are downright nice. The manager certainly could be more friendly, and I understand some of the negative comments about him but he is not a bad guy once you get to know him. He has been quite helpful to me and will drop what he is doing. There are no free weights beyond dumbbells but PF does not welcome body builders as it's for the average person, though you can get quite built up if you want using the equipment they have. For $10 / mo. you cannot beat this place. read more
