I have been a member of this gym for awhile now. This gym is clean most of the time and friendly staff. However I just found out they took away the 2.5 small plates and was very disappointed . When I asked about them I was just told they were gone. No explanation whatsoever. As a woman the 2.5 plates are very much needed esp for upper body because when u go up in weight it's much safer and better to go up 5 pounds rather than 10 pounds at once . Very disappointed . They also got rid of the leg curl. That machine is very popular and much needed. I can't wait for the Eos to open as I might go there because of these issues. read more

Planet Fitness Buckeye (Watson Rd) -- police called over a $5 drink dispute I'm posting this as a factual account of what happened this morning at the Planet Fitness in Buckeye on Watson Rd. I have been a Planet Fitness member since December 2024. My wife has been a member just as long, and my two sons are also members. I hadn't visited this specific location in roughly a year and a half, and I came in today to sign up my niece as a new member. I also had my other niece with me (an infant). We spent approximately 12-15 minutes in the lobby attempting to complete the signup process. We initially tried using the app, but due to payment issues, a front desk employee offered to complete the registration manually. We remained patient and cooperative during this process. While waiting, I grabbed a Muscle Milk Zero Sugar from the cooler because I was thirsty. Before opening it, I asked the employee to ring it up. I was told to wait until the signup transaction was completed. I asked again later and was told the same thing. While still waiting, I opened the drink and took a sip, operating under the reasonable assumption I would be paying for it immediately once the employee finished assisting my niece. After one sip, I realized the product was not drinkable for me due to the taste. When it was time to pay, I made a simple request: exchange the drink for another item of equal value, or provide store credit. I was not asking for anything free, discounted, or additional. The employee refused any exchange. I then stated that if an exchange was not allowed, I did not want the product and offered to return it. I was told they would charge me regardless. At that point, a manager named Chris became involved and escalated the situation by threatening to contact law enforcement -- and ultimately called Buckeye PD over a $5 concession issue. I remained calm, did not threaten anyone, and did not behave aggressively. I simply disagreed with being forced to pay for an item after requesting a fair exchange. Police arrived and advised that once opened, the product is treated as theft regardless of the amount. To end the situation and avoid further disruption, I paid. This was an unnecessary escalation and an embarrassing example of poor customer service and judgment. If this location's standard response to a reasonable exchange request is to involve law enforcement, the public deserves to know. read more

This place is a straight scam....! I started a membership on 11/12/25 which was agreed upon to be 24.99 a month with my first month being 9.99 mind you its 11/19/25 and I hvent even got around to using it just yet and got a bill on the app while going to use it today and it says I owe them 45.00 total including a late fee which completely thru me for a loop....my card is always locked until I hve a bills due and due to the raise of credit theft it will remain locked and when I called up there to see what the problem was while on the way to the gym some employee named nick gave me more than attitude when I was just trying to explain and get a explanation of what the charge was for....! Side note in the world we live in these days a gym membership is definitely something everyone can't afford so I was beyond happy I found a couple extra dollars before the holiday season to get a little healthier and they just ruin it for me.....!this place takes ur money and wants more money for nothing try eos....! a friendly "PSA" they will not get away with this it has to be a crime the bamboozlement they put me thru...! I canceled my membership du to the rude behavior of staff member Angel C. I received my receipt that said I canceled my membership due to "not enough time for the gym". This is laughable. I have been avidly working out for the last 15 years. There is always time for fitness. Just not at this poorly ran gym. I'll continue my business at EOS. Where you can workout without staff members following you around the gym to harass you for bringing your own equipment. read more

Nice gym over all, came in to get a membership with my insurance and the young gentleman quickly set me up with a membership without trying to upgrade me like other planet fitness around. I asked I just wanted the classic one my insurance offers and I was working out in less then 20min. The gym is spotless clean all around and people actually re-rack their weights where they need to go. I would suggest to go earlier in the day because after 4pm it's a zoo. Currently there is no Statutory Law requirement to wearing a face mask..the worse thing a human being can do to there health while exercising is to limit there levels of oxygen intake. Limited oxygen is highly, highly dangerous during high levels of exertion while your body is demanding maximized oxygen levels for brain cognitive function and optimization into the bodies blood cells. A person's brain, lungs, heart and other organs can easy shut down under these conditions and can even pass out if not die. Many already have all across the country and many more will continue to if this fraudulent illegal law is enforced upon the general public. The simple fact that there is no Statutory Law whatsoever enforcing this requirement, no code, no law & therefore it should never be enforced upon members or customers for any extended period of time whatsoever. This is totally irresponsible, unethical, unsafe & highly dangerous for this company or any company to engage in this type of unlawful practice.. I am encouraging all members everywhere to do your own due diligence and research regarding this matter as it is a very serious health and safety concern that many companies are partaking in. Many people have already been known to have serious auto and/or other accidents by passing out while operating machinery or cars after wearing face masks for extended periods of time. You are far, far more likely to pose a serious threat to yourself and others while wearing a face mask under these strenuous conditions. I have personally cancelled my membership and I advise all members to seriously consider canceling their membership if Planet Fitness continues to enforce this unlawful practice upon its members. I've been to plenty of different planets throughout the valley and this is by far my favorite one to date. The staff is super friendly and always in a good mood. The setup of the gym itself is way better than any of the others in my opinion. It's never crowded so you're never forced to wait around for equipment to free up. I've also noticed the crowd that goes here is a bit different too, not a swarm of high school aged kids and people are actually there to work out and not hit on you. read more

Update: I am pleased to say that management outside of the local facility was courteous, helpful and fair. I'm satisfied with the overall resolution. However, I will not change my review at this time in the event that someone else has the same or similar experience and needs my documented report to support their claims. I've been a member of Planet Fitness for quite some time (pre-COVID). I continued My membership faithfully throughout the shutdown and even when they reopen. towards the end of 2021 I contracted COVID. I contacted the gym to ask if there was anything I needed to do to stop my membership. I was advised that because my card on file had expired, and I wouldn't be coming in, there was nothing I needed to do until I was ready to resume my membership. I asked and confirmed that I would not be billed for the months I was not attending. This was confirmed. I was very ill (including hospitalization) and was not medically able to come back to the gym for months. When I returned, I was told I had a past due balance for nearly $200. I spoke with the gentlemen that had told me there would be no balance and he literally said, "yes, maybe I told you that but I don't remember so you're going to have to pay this." I asked to speak to the manager, Sabrina. She called and was more rude than the associate and I then understood the culture of the gym was to simply treat the guests poorly because this is what they are seeing from management. I'd never embarrass an unpleasant experience at this location prior to this incident but this was enough to cause me to really not want to give planet fitness my business. The manager spoke over me by phone, she was insisting on going on and on even after she and I had come to a resolution (they'd waive half the balance). I'd agreed to this and simply wanted to end the conversation. She continued to berate me and I finally said, "I understand, our business is concluded, there's not anything else to discuss". She CONTINUED to force a conversation and attempt to reprimand me for not canceling my membership. Yes I know I could have simply hung up on her but I honestly was doing my best to avoid being rude. I eventually put my phone on mute and sat it next to me. She talked for over 5 minutes! I would hear her aggressive tone at a screeching level and when I stopped I picked up the phone said thanks, I got it. She again reiterated that I needed to come in and pay the half balance, she's waive the rest. I asked what I needed to do about my membership and she said since it'd been sent to collections I'd have to restart a new one. Thanked her again and hung up. I went and laid the amour that was said to be owed. I did not return due to her poor behavior and the way I felt I'd been treated. I'd been noticing a change in the service by the employees prior to my discontinued membership. It seemed as if certain members were being treated differently than others. Here I was on the receiving end of the staff's discriminatory practices that I'd been witnessing.For months I'd decided I simply did not rerun my business to this location. But after nearly a year I was finding it more inconvenient to attend another gym at 4:00am further from my home. When I returned today to restart my membership i was told 1). There was a past due balance (the balance Sabrina said she'd waive) and 2). that the staff member could not start a membership for me because I was rude to staff! I absolutely could not believe it. I understood the young man was following the directions of the notes he said Sabrina put on my account. I explained to him that this was not true. I then confirmed that if I had a membership at another location I could still use this facility. I then sat in the lobby, registered online, paid for a new membership and went to check in and the young man denied me entrance! There was no issue he simply said I won't let you in until I speak with my manager. So now, PF has my money, locked in to another membership and I'm being denied access based on false statements made by a manager who was not only rude, aggressive and disgruntled but who has also falsified information against me using the same old stereotype of me being a rude angry black woman. I cant imagine that this is the culture of PF and at this time I'm not holding one woman's poor behavior against the entire franchise but I will update this upon discussing this issue with upper management. At the end of the day, I'm tired of seeing the micro aggressions in this community against people of color and we all just learn to deal with other people's discrimination. We all pay our money for proper treatment, the same as every on else and we simply don't deserve to be lied on, mistreated and banned from a facility as if some criminal behavior has taken place. read more

Just started working out here in April when it opened and I love it I've worked out in a few different gyms, Golds , EOS,Lifetime... for the money and Amenities its a great value. Besides the exception of dumbbells over 75 lbs, straight bars only up to 60 lbs its a great gym. Do wish they had Barbells to bench and squat. Great gym very clean and great staff anytime of the day 24 hours. They don't like big lifting and or big guys. read more

I would highly recommend anyone joining this gym to make sure you read your contract closely. My 16 year old son had a membership at the Planet Fitness gym in Buckeye for less than two months. Unfortunately, he was not able to go to the gym often enough to make it worth the membership. I couldn't get down to the gym to cancel the membership right away and they would not allow me to cancel over the phone, so the gym charged an additional 39.00 for annual maintenance fee since I came in one week after some deadline for cancelling the membership. In addition to warning others to be careful when signing a membership with Planet Fitness I will also file a complain with the BBB and Attorney General since they refused to all for me to cancel the contract over the phone. read more

Registered for the gym tonight and we are so excited there's finally a gym on Watson! My wife and I got our tour after registering and it's very nice, clean and still has that new smell. The customer service was decent, they were very busy but we did seem rushed. There was only two people working the front desk and their line was way too long. This place is amazing! The staff is very friendly, the gym is very clean, there is a very large selection of machines and weights and the amenities are fantastic. I don't like the rule of no gym bags on the workout floor, it invites thieves to cut the locks and steal your stuff. I would give it a 5 star rating if they would get rid of that stupid rule. read more

This place has been opened for only about a month, and is already experiencing internet problems/ outage and it is affecting my workout plan significantly. I usually use the total body machine after each workout session and now I can't do that, there's no eta when it will be fixed and the workers dnt seem to care to know either which is disheartening. I get it technology sucks at times but come on really it's been a MONTH!!!!!! Please get your internet back working-call tech support, DO SOMETHING FOR YOUR BLACK CARD MEMBERS!!!!! Planet Fitness has a variety of machines for everyone no matter what type of workout a person is looking to get in. First, Planet Fitness has lots of different options for cardio needs such as treadmills, ellipticals, and stair climbers. Planet Fitness also has a variety of machine weights for literally every body part. Machine weights are especially important for new gym-goers because the machine forces them to have good form while doing the exercise reducing the chances of them getting hurt. Machine weights are also great for new members because they don't need a spotter. New members can push themselves harder without the fear of getting stuck under the weight. If the weight becomes too much or the member reaches muscle failure, they can simply drop it. Machine weights are also great for coming back from an injury. Again, they force good form and work the body part with the ability to just be dropped if needed. Lastly, Planet Fitness also has free weights. Free weights can be a fun way to add different exercises to your workout. Free weights challenge a person's body and muscles in a different way than machines do. This would be great for a member who is already developed good form and has built up their muscles a little. So, no matter the skill of the person or the weights they're looking for Planet Fitness has them. read more

If you want to be judged by staff, in a "judgement free zone" and singled out in front of others at your first gym while working out this is the gym for you. Once you sign that year agreement they don't give a shit about their customers or how they feel. If you don't like the way they are treating you and it angers you then they say "Hey just cancel your membership and pay the cancellation fee." The general manager Britney did an excellent job showing how much a Black Card Member does not matter to their business and all that matters is that people sign a contract. After that you don't like the way they treat you... quit and pay the fee. read more

Just getting back into working out full time I was extremely intimidated and nervous at first. But Planet Fitness has made it that much easier for me. It really is a judgment free zone like they say. I don't feel like I'm being judged or made fun of by anyone. I've even had a few people help show me how to use equipment which is great. I tell my friends about Buckeye Planet Fitness -- It is a fantastic place to work out! I've been a regular there since their opening last year. The facilities are clean and bright. And with the variety of equipment available, there's something for everyone at any level, and at all ages, from teens to seniors. The Black Card area is truly a spa-like experience; so relaxing following a workout that I walk out like a Gumby. Although the facility is superb, the staff is outstanding in every way. Friendly, positive, helpful, knowledgeable and caring. Amanda Stephenson (Club Manager) does an excellent job of managing a very busy facility and staff with professionalism, and also showing care to the individual members. All staff are great - Jennifer, Diana, Montel & Mara, to name a few. And then there's the dynamo of a Fitness Trainer, Austin--a knowledgeable, beyond positive, fun & caring professional who helped me immensely with my rotator cuff situation. I didn't expect all of this in a workout facility. I am beyond pleased. And, it's all spearheaded by the director, Brittany. Kudos to Brittany, Amanda, and all the rest of the staff. I utilized this facility during the past summer. I went every single day l, and I was met with stellar customer service every single time. They have staff cleaning the equipment practically all the time! They usually always have the AC on which helps out a lot during high intensity workouts. Like the facility, in there 3 to 4 days a week. However, I pay 25 dollars a month to schedule an appointment for a hydro lounge only to be told that I have to wait because they are taken. This happens to me at least once a week so I usually leave. Why do you have us schedule appointments and NOT honor it? Poor planning, poor customer service.
