This review is for the dog park only but the park is full of different activities and sports. I started taking my dog up there so she could run and exert some energy. I know it's a dog park but the owners come with sick dogs, aggressive dogs and at times look the other way when their furry baby takes a squat for their daily "do" when I first arrived I heard that two dogs were fighting but left the park. I should have just walked away then. Out of nowhere a dog ran up to my dog and sniffed her....there all heck broke loose. My dog is not a fighter so let's just say she was beat up (and other dogs joined in) my dog ran to me with one dog following her. It took another pet parent to grab this bully and jerk her back (the owner was going around in circles saying she couldn't get her dog. Cops have been called up there for pets and pet parents arguing about their furry babies. (yes it happened) so since it was an enclosed area and you take chances of fights, there was nothing the cop could do. I stopped going up there once 3 dogs winded up sick. They all drink from this fountain where slobber and everything floats in there. I bring a bowl for my dog but she was a follower and drank out the fountain. On the other side are the little ones (they fight too but not as much) I was told that it's just becoming a bad place to bring your pets now since a lot more come thinking it's a dog fight arena. Now don't get me wrong there were days when she had fun and I didn't have to save her. You can walk them around the trail still to give them exercise as well as yourself. read more

A 30-acre park featuring a dog park for large and small dogs, (2) lighted youth baseball fields, 2) lighted softball fields, a lighted football/soccer field, and lighted sand volleyball courts, a .65 mile walking trail, and an amazing playground. There are (4) picnic ramadas with picnic tables and charcoal grills, drinking fountains throughout, and restroom facilities. I had been trying to find a great park and low and behold they built this one. I hope more people discover it because of Yelp. The play ground is hAMAZING for kids and has something for everyone and is really fun for all ages. Huge fields and their dog Park area is great! A lot of people don't know that this park is even here. I would expect so many more people at this dog park. Please, come on out, and if you see a red-head with a small Husky dog-come say Hi to me! The dog park has two large areas divided for small (under 25lbs) and then the larger ones. Fenced in, Agility stuff, clean and a few covered areas but not much. I'd bring an umbrella if you're used to walking around. It's well maintained. The only bad part is every dog park has its Dog Snootiast (Snooty dog owners). These are the kind of dog park people that ruin your day, your visit and give owners a bad name. All parks have them. Except maybe Quail Run Park. I can say out of the several times at Sundance, there was an evening my boys wondered over to the small dog side and I couldn't leave my Husky alone so I brought her. She is a rather well trained 8 year old and very sweet and was raised in a pack so she is used to other dogs. Immediately as I started walking with her to get my boys and bring them back, this lady with her small dog starts saying "My dog doesn't like big dogs, you need to leave!" The ones that are possessive of their park and their dog and you can tell that is all they have. Her dog wasn't crying, barking or doing anything to mine yet she scooped her up saying "she gets aggressive with bigger dogs, cant you read the sign?" I was irritated and felt sorry for her dog that just looked curious,but I said, "Im just getting my boys and my dog is polite and nonaggressive as ALL dogs should be in the park regaurdless of sides." And I kept walking losing eye contact. She huffed away walking over to the other patrons and started her gossiping as I corraled my dog and kids. She put the dog at her feet and held it back giving the impression she was irritated and annoyed having to hold her dog back, that was just sitting now licking itself. She did the glarring thign at me as I walked by and loudly she said something like "it wouldn't be my fault anyway, shes the one that can't read". I stared right back at her and stopped walking. I told my kids to run along back to otherside with our dog and they did. I then changed direction and started walking to the very loudly whisperign lady and her friends. Mockingly as I would being this irritated, I stated, "Just as I have no place on this side, it is still a dog park and the sign is a guide for size. If she were more timid then what she is, she could be on this side because it is for Timid and/or Small dogs. Your dog has an aggressive side, regardless it is a dog and NO aggressive dogs are allowed in the park, that is a rule, not a guideline. If my dog merely provoked it by beign in the same area or walking by, You would be wrong for having a sheltered aggtressive animal. Personally I see nothing wrong with her. She seesm fine and you, in you possesvie manner scooped her up before she could make a friend, which you do at dog parks. And I am willign to bet she would have more if you and your attutide would leave her be a while. You are the exact definition of a crappy dog park goer and I feel sorry fo your dog." I turned and started walking to the gate. One of the dog owners on the large dog side clapped and a few laughed. The lady just yelled from behind me that "you don't belong here and you're a bitch." Moral of the story: Be nice to other owners. If someone is doing something that you don't like, politly start talking to them and don't act like you know it all, cuz you don't. I am a single mom that was corralling two boys, (one autistic) and a husky out for a nice family night and this lady tried to ruin it because she didn't like me in her space for 5 minutes. Unless a dog is aggressive. Be nice. No one was bothering anyone and this lady made it her business. We all have something in common, we love them enough to bring them to the park and be social. This dog park has two fenced in areas, one for small dogs and one for larger dogs. They have some cool training equipment. One of the things I really like is the fact that there are lights at night so you can actually see everything and because it's newish the dog parks have grass. Other than that, it's just a regular dog park :) it serves our purpose. read more

I really like taking my child to this park! They have a gated space for small dogs and big dogs to play. They have field for soccer/football, baseball, volleyball, little kids playground, and a big kid playground. There is also a walking trail around the park. I brought my 4 month old Sheltie to this dob park about a week ago and at first I thought this is a great dog park but then I noticed the water drain cover with the big openings in it which a small dog and not so small dogs could get there feet or leg caught in there while running and easily break a leg. As my Sheltie pup was running a long the fence with an Australian Shepard that was running a long the fence on the big dog side, my puppy slammed into the light post. This light post is too close to the fence. My puppy coughed up blood and I rushed him to the animal hospital. Luckily he is ok, but suffered bruised chest wall one one side and inflammation and fluid build up. This park is not safe for small dogs especially puppies and young dogs just thinking of playing and not watching out for hazards. read more
