Terrible customer service. Apparently I didn't meet their dress code today (which I did not know existed) and instead of giving me a warning for next time they made me leave the establishment. Also, I was wearing a crew neck tank and have seen MUCH more revealing outfits here before. Seriously considering just cancelling my membership. So now after only being here for 5 minutes I get to drive 20 min home after driving 20 min to get here in the first place. Update/Reply: yes I looked up your dress code post-hoc And I understand you have one and that customers need to abide by it. The issue is how I was approached about it. I have no issues with the actual gym, now that they replaced their broken equipment. But the staff is beyond "special." I think some of them were hired from McDonald's down the road. Not knocking it, but every time I ask a question I get the deer in headlights look. I have the black membership and was supposed to get a T-shirt which, trust me I really don't care about a T-shirt, the girl kept forgetting to give me one. I stood there and smiled and looked at her and she just stared back lmao. Anyway - if you are looking to get fit for a fraction of the cost of most other gyms (such as LA Fitness, Crunch, etc), then this is a great place to join! read more

I've been to quite a few pf locations and I have to say the staff at the other Cincinnati locations are much friendlier. It's not gonna stop me from coming here, but for what it's worth it would be nice if he staff stopped their conversation for 2 seconds instead of just grabbing my card and turning away without a word. Also, no clue what I am suppose to do with the door number and goggles for the tanning beds... every time i bring them back up to the front desk they just look at me like I'm an idiot and doing something wrong. I have been to a plethora of different planet fitness locations and this one is by far the worst one in Cincinnati. The only employee that was working when I came in this morning was too busy to say hello or even scan customers in. I had to scan myself in while he listened to music, played on his phone and even trimmed his finger nails. Will not be returning anytime soon and will also share this with everyone I know! Let's just say this particular gym managed to make me cancel my membership. I'll never go back

I was at the Colerain location last night about 10:15ish only to tan. The guy at the front desk -- didn't get his name- was so rude and condescending. He was more worried about getting his workout in that assisting customers. I was waiting for over 10 minutes to get a bed when others that came in after me were going in before me. Other customers who came in after me were assisted while I stood there. The beds were not full. He was very hostile when speaking to me when I said I have been waiting. He snapped"sometimes it be like that!" There were a few other things that he did that were rude but you get the gist. I will not be going back to this location. read more

I've been to PF locations all over the nation and this one is the nicest one I've been to. It's spacious and the equipment is updated. The staff is friendly and helpful. But please work on getting hand sanitizer dispensers back. read more

Many businesses are doing their best during COVID. Planet fitness however is doing the minimum. Don't get me wrong. I don't want to wear a mask at the gym. So it never bothered me that the policy wasn't enforced. That said, today I showed up to work out and was told that I had to wear a mask in the lobby but not on the floor. I wasn't allowed to do touch free check in at a safe distance from anyone around me but I can sweat and breathe hard (no grunting) in a more densely populated area of the building without a mask. I have been going to this location for about a month now. It is very clean, staff are friendly and helpful. There is always parking. I do feel it is smaller than other locations but there is always equipment available. Turning left out of the parking lot can be troublesome but that's just Colerain for ya. read more

The good: It's a pretty good value if you wait for a promotion. I paid for 18 months up front and I do not have any fees or monthly bills. It's very clean, and there's plenty of equipment and weights. I've never waited for anything. The bad: Staff are unengaged. They are almost always eating something behind the desk, and wait on you with their mouth full. It would be nice if they could walk around and notice the creeps that are just sitting at machines staring at women. There are often groups of staff standing around doing nothing. It's uncomfortable when they all loiter by the doors. The ugly: Getting out of the parking lot is almost enough the make me cancel my membership. Going left is impossible, so you have to go right and turn around somewhere. The traffic and long lights are a nightmare, adding another 5-10 minutes when you just want to get out of there. read more

I am very surprised at the number of negative reviews I see here. It's as if they went to a different gym than I'visited while hanging out in the Northgate area. Maybe it was one key factor: Brandon, the GM. Having been a manager (many years ago on Colerain Ave.), I like to watch how people run their businesses. I think I visited this gym six times in 10 days, and I can tell you that the staff was always friendly and efficient, and watching Brandon I'm pretty sure his leadership was the main factor. It's hard to balance delegation and leading by example; from what I saw he's got it down. The gym was clean. The equipment was in order. I went to a second one and asked if they had rowers. The desk person said "you mean those things that go...and then they did a rowing motion. They said they thought they and. We looked around and they did have a few. My point is the same as my first post. The staff, although friendly are not especially competent. This particular guy was clearly ultra fit but he said he worked out at the gym at his college. read more

They are not friendly or helpful at all. On the weekends (when I usually go) the employees are just standing around doing nothing and don't even want to take your card so that you can check in. They just stand there and glare at you. However they do find time to toss a ball or something around behind the desk for what seems to be an hour or so. They just seem to be a very childish group of high schoolers who really don't want to be there. I would not recommend this club. read more
