Drop the weights? Lunk alarm! Make a bit to much noise to get that last rep? What a lunk! However, wear mask as a chin strap? Judgment free zone apparently! Leave your nose poking out as you breathe heavy while working out? No problem here. Hell feel free to wear a bandana or neck gator. Not allowed anywhere else bit this sublime judgment free Mecca. This is why it took forever to get the gyms back open. Gyms are a magnet for selfish aholes. But I guess this is what you get for $10 a month. See their response. These people don't get it. mgmt should be a little more attentive to people who sit on equipment for way too long, reading their cell phones. these individuals lack awareness of others - especially when the gym is crowded. would be nice to see mgmt help these individuals with learning some basic self awareness. read more

It's a good clean location with friendly staff. I gave it 3 stars because of how tiny the weight section of the gym is. It is tiny! If you're not smart and don't pick your moment to go, you will be waiting for equipment. Avoid mid afternoon in the summer if you don't want to be around teenagers holding up equipment, doing a bunch of nothing. At best you're trying to focus with people on top of you or having to hold reps while they walk past. If you're a serious lifter who treats it as a mental sanctuary, you will not like this location. This location is new, definitely welcome around here -- for years we've been looking for a cheap and quality gym and this has brought that to the area. It's 5 min from me and I usually come 11am or later at around 9pm - the staff are also super nice, and helpful. I will say at night it can sometimes get full of high schoolers, but that might just be the effect of the summer. The one thing I would say is that I wish there were more fans in the cardio area, but besides that it's a great gym. read more

Updated reviiew; add a star for the sake of fairness, but, still some shortcomings regarding service. PF accepts credit cards now for automatic withdrawals; still rather pay all at once. So, I joined to support local gym. Still have LA Fitness membership by my workplace. But hey, it's progress.The facility is small to mid-size, but, in pretty good shape. Never thought I'd get used to its compact nature, but, does the job well. If it's maintained properly, this space will still feel like a manageable, new facility for select few clientele, with enough platforms to get a proper workout without the meathead factor If not, it will become an undersized,, outdated facility. The environment, color scheme, and branding of the interior gives a feel of a club that is efficient, new and not trying to be everything to everyone; kind of 'small, but hip'. Had concerns about the lack of machines having been used to LA Fitness gigantism. However, contour of PF machines fits me well, unlike one size fits all of many gyms. No sauna. Two showers. Staff: Michaela is exactly the type of person needed for hospitality and is a rock star. She can be the face of my business any time. Unfortunately, enthusiasm is hit or miss at the front desk, and many times it's all I can do to not feel like I'm imposing on the person scanning my phone, today being a prime example. A greeting from me got .....no response and ignored when I checked in early afternoon. I'm not certain if it's part of life in Hunterdon and a dryness to social interaction-having moved here a little over a year ago-or, one of those things where one isn't accepted until they know you well. Nonetheless, you're in hospitality business, act like it. Overall, not a bad gym despite it's lack of size and scope and spotty front desk experience. Hey everyone, please check your credit/debit cards and checking accounts. Even though Planet Fitness started communicating to everyone via email at the start of the epidemic in an attempt to keep every 'informed' (so they wouldn't cancel), they have started billing without informing anyone. Also, they have started billing annual membership fees again and if you don't give them notice a week before they apply the charge, they will not refund the money. I was billed the annual fee on 10/1/2020 and went to the gym on 10/2/2020 to cancel and they told me no refund. I called their Director of Operations (Clinton, NJ) he also refused to refund the money, he mentioned they were entitled to the money and that I should have realized this was going to happen. My wife, daughter and I will never return to this place. Enjoy the $40 bucks Planet Fitness as you have created $4,000 of ill will in this household. I guess their emails that we are all in this together turned out to be false. Shocking! read more

I've been going here six months but never again. Lately when I go in the morning around 10am it's terribly dirty. Come to find out that they someone who only cleans the place a couple hours in the middle of night. For a place with that much traffic there should be someone cleaning all day long read more

The gym is clean, nice, and new. I have no complaints about the environment, amenities, or cleanliness. I deducted three stars due to the policies. To pay your monthly dues they require you to provide a routing and checking account number. Personally I think that's a little invasive to require that information. Take my debit card, major companies due that. I finally gave in because I needed a gym membership and it's too affordable to say no. For me, this gym is way out of the way. I'm 20 mins away and it's hard to get motivated to go. That's my fault. Oh well. I do manual labor, work in the yard and split wood so I get that workout in. When I decided to cancel I call and say I like to cancel. Seems straight forward. Well that's impossible over the phone due to policy. They make you do the walk of shame back into the gym and cancel in person or send a certified letter to cancel. Certified letter? How inconvenient. That's how they keep their membership dues coming in. Smart, but aggressive and greedy. I finally make it back in to cancel the day after my card was charged. I asked them to refund my money because I don't believe in paying for a service if I'm not going to use it. Well....Mr. Protein Shake in his hoody with a t-shirt over it reminded of the contract I signed. He then referred to the part that states you must cancel ten days before the billing due date in order to not get charged. I sighed, and said whatever. So I called my bank, USAA, and disputed the charges. My bank was able to get my money refunded in three days. If that happens to you, just call the bank. You're welcome. read more

I have been here any and every day of the week around 6pm and it's not busy (which is sooooo nice). I've also been here on a Sunday morning around 9am and it wasn't busy then, either. It's just 5 minutes from my house and it's not packed. Love love love. read more
