I would love to be more like her if I wasn't so much like me. Haha! While it was quite a way for me to drive (from Grandview), I started seeing it as my little escape. Given the nature of yoga, obviously no cell-phone are allowed so my connection to the outside world was nixed (happily) and while the trek through rush-hour traffic was tought, it was always well worth it in the end. While I didn't find anyone else taking the class particularly approachable or quick to befriend, in a weird way it was another (positive) element to my 'escape'. I didn't have to engage in surface conversation, make promises to call, or say goodbyes to anyone as I left. Easy in and out and feeling better than I did before. There were so many AWESOME classes offered at the Arts Castle aside from Yoga...jewelry making, wine tasting, puppetry, tai chi, music, Lapidary and more! I would take them all if I could afford it! This is a gorgeous little town, a gorgeous building (literally looks like a castle) and a great place to escape.

Blocks and blankets are provided. The atmosphere was open, welcoming, and completely non-judgmental. (How often does that happen in life?) Both instructors were fabulous. Their instructions were clear, their voices loud enough to hear but not interfere with movement or posture. Corrections as well as modifications were offered in a gentle manner. I don't live in Delaware but I have family there so I will definitely go back. Both classes were wonderful and I look forward to trying some of their other classes.

I got free lessons to learn to dance for my wedding at this location. Let's just say it improved a…read morelot of things and both my husband and I actually looked like we knew what we were doing on the special day. I would like to give credit to the gentlemen who assisted both my husband and I to dance for 3 weeks straight. I know putting up with us is a lot when one person can dance and the other can barely move to the rhythm! He was very patient with us and handled both our situations very well. He even used different variations of dance moves to teach us like rumba, salsa and meringue. I always like to mix things up a bit. They were all so much fun to learn! In addition, he asked us what song would be our first dance and actually played it for us to learn how to move to the rhythm of the music. I was so happy to practice my Michael Buble song and even if I forgot the moves, my husband remembered what he learned from our lesson! So of course our song was a slow dance of Feeling Good. Learning to slow dance was a bit difficult for me as I couldn't master all the moves right on the first try. After a while it got a little bit better but with practice. I told our dance trainer that I used to take ballet so the only thing I had was being very flexible from my past jazz classes. My husband also did ballet but he is so much better than me, plus he has some other dance moves up his sleeve! I was so grateful to the Fred Astaire Dance Studio for helping us learn some dance moves for our special day. People actually thought we worked hard on the day of the wedding when they saw our first dance!

First off, I'm not a blood donor and likely never will be for various reasons, so I was here as an…read more(admittedly bad) support person for one. The building used to be a church, but it's not obvious as the renovation looks good. The parking lot is massive so plenty of parking. The space is open inside so it's easy to see around. You check in at the front where there are chairs with a tv playing Bob Ross. You get through the screening (which I couldn't go back for) then settle onto an adjustable bed for the blood donation. We were told the machines are set up so it's not possible for anything to go wrong there, lots of fail safes now at days. The nurse was new so she slightly missed the vein, but it got worked out. No issues in the past either. The staff is alwaysveruy friendly and chatty. The building is a comfortable temperature. Bathrooms are close by on the far left, apparently some people think the well water smells weird, but I didn't notice. Also on the left side is the recovery area where you sit after donating to make sure your body is good to go. They have a fridge full of juices (tropical, grape, and apple is what we saw) plus water bottles, but there is also an eco friendly water bpttle refill station and water fountain. There's a tv up on the wall over there too. The two recovery tables have a few chairs around with various goodies on the table. Mostly cookies, chips, and various sweets. Oreos and shortbread cookies were the two vegan options tried today, didn't check everything of course. The power red donation process took about an hour and a half from the check in time to leaving. It was a nice donation center and the experience went well.
