Love this gym! I have a girl friend who told me when she goes to the gym, she doesn't want anyone to bother her. If someone goes for the machine next to her, she looks at them like "no. You're not gonna do that." ---- this is not a problem at this gym! It's spacious. And unless I'm just coming at off peak hours, there aren't people all up in your space and face at all. I love the cleanliness, that staff aren't all up in your face but available when you need to ask something or check out a locker key. I love that the parking is always available and the lot is right in front of the entrance so you're not having to strategize how to walk te hypotenuse when your hair is wet after a work out or on cold winter days. Score. Love it love it love it. There's a men's locker room. A women's locker room. And a family locker room. Since I take up a ton of space in this world I really like using the family locker room (jk, but I like feeling enough space to do my things in privacy without others seeing me or me saying excuse me and all that). If you're in Delaware, join this y. If you're part of the y, and in the area for some reason, drop by this y. can you tell I'm a fan? :P

So I drove over 55 mins to come to the splash pad behind the ymca center. Let me tell you it was well worth it!!! When we first arrived the kids was really excited and couldn't wait to get out off the car! The water park is big enough for you to run around and play with your kids and everyone else's kids. Theirs plenty of seating areas and theirs a little concession stand. The place is Dinosaur themed and its perfect for kids that love dinosaurs. Theirs Dino prints in the concrete and theres a huge Dino slide, also the park is all turf so no rocks or mulch to worry about. But if its a really hot day the park will sting their little feets and bottoms. I recommend bringing plenty of bottled water to pour on the slide and their feet as they walk around or bring swimming shoes for the kids to run around. Great place to exhaust the little one out!!! The ymca also has a play area inside also but for a family rate of $26 you can swim inside.

Upon my arrival I was warmly greeted by Beth who owns the studio. There are two classrooms for barre, the first one she showed me was quite big and scenic with an outdoor view while the second was smaller. Beth explained the area a little bit and then I changed to get ready for my class with Stephanie. Stephanie was such a kind instructor and walked me through each step of the movements we were doing from the warm-up to the barre itself, I felt more confident as much as it hurt so much on my first day. I had so man helpful classmates too explain what to do when I got lost which was so nice. It's all about the movements. Those movements were small and big but they really did the job I was looking for in a fitness studio. Finally, after the 60 minutes we stretched and talked with instructor to get to know the studio and pricing a little bit. They offer a child care area but I don't need it right now. They even offered me a great discounted rate to join and I said I would think about it. If your looking for a challenging but do-able workout try barre, you having nothing to lose trying something new!

I don't know where I put it, all I know now is that I got to looking a little too much like a big ball of pudding. Nobody wants that. Gym trainers are one thing. I've dealt with them in the past. Expensive, and crappy. They're not as interested in you as they are in the act of blowing kisses to themselves in the mirror between sets. All you are is a means to an end. Not here. Joe and Frank are something else entirely. These fellas are completely and entirely invested in helping you reach your goals. And maybe you don't want to be Arnold, but you don't want to look like you were carved out of pudding either. They're realistic. No one-size fits all nonsense. Because you're not a cookie-cutter person, and these aren't cookie-cutter trainers. Trust me. I know. Every day I get a bit stronger, and a bit less pudding. Stop wasting time on inferior trainers.
