Something is not right here. This franchise moved into this location in September and a significant portion of the machines are broken. I've been in a lot of Planet Fitness locations and I don't think any three locations combined have ever had as many broken machines as this one location. Fixtures in the restrooms are broken. The shower curtains are one size too small. It is clean!!! When I mentioned the problems at the front desk, they looked hurt. I don't believe it's an employee problem. I felt bad. Hey, PF! Have been here with a friend and came to sign up myself and it was such a messy and negative experience, they complained about the process (signing up a new member) to me (the potential member). About the gym itself, I could not complain too much, about the lack of ethics of this company however I have too much to say. My membership ended in June 18, 2024 because I had a surgery in December, I placed membership on hold, I agree that they have to charge me the three months that my account was frozed, but they even charge me the annual fee (53 dlls and 4 cents) without my permission, I was not renewing the contract, they should not charge the annual fee if I was not renewing. I tried by Better Business Bureau to receive a reimbursement for the unauthorized annual fee but they never responded. So, they are thiefs, white collar thieves because they could steal money easily from your bank account since you agree at the beggining to let them remove automatically the montly fee from your bank, but the electronic access to your bank account let you vulnerable to be stolen because they can charge whatever they want, whenever they want. Even if they logo is "Cancel Anytime". You wont be able to cancel anytime. I had EP Fitness before and its a better gym with much more machines (working) and several classes, even zumba wich this "gym" do not provide, they think everybody knows how to do work out by themselves and if you need assistence the trainer has a really weird schedule that you have to go to the gym either too late (4pm evening classes) or way too early like 6 or 7 am (morning classes) It is a place to remember because we end pissed off and do not want to come back there anymore ! read more

4 stars for the black card spa area, 3 stars for the rest. Just a glass wall and doors separate this area, but it's like another world in there. Calm music, peaceful and the controls on the hydromassage bed allowed me to hyperfocus on a very small area. I haven't seen that feature on other locations' beds; very useful if you're rehabbing an injury. The location is hampered a bit by the apparently smaller square footage. There's not much space for mat work. They however have 8 Smith machines, which I think is more than most other locations. Parking is also a bit limited. read more

This Planet Fitness location tops the others in El Paso primarily because of the gym layout and the Black Card Spa area which offers modern lay down tanning beds. Other Planet Fitness locations in EP have ancient looking tanning beds or tanning booths crammed into the corner of the gym and poorly maintained as bulbs are often out resulting in uneven tans. Luckily this is not a problem at this location. The beds they offer are Ergoline which are often used by tanning salons, a highly competitive feature offered to black card members. The Black Card Spa area is nicely secluded for optimal relaxation, it even plays soothing music in the seating area. The tanning rooms are spacious and offer cleaning products and paper towels, they even have a rug next to the bed. The only thing missing in the tanning room is a full size mirror. As pleased as I am that this Planet Fitness location invested in quality equipment for black card members, I do urge management to have their staff do a better job maintaining the tanning beds. They require deep cleaning to say the least. There were areas inside the bed with dust caked on in various spots. It would go a long way if staff opened and deep cleaned the hard to reach places before the dust built up. Considering this is right next to the fans I'm sure customers don't want to be inhaling dust. Please do better in cleanliness. Other than that, the gym layout is far better than most. It just makes sense and the equipment is not too far from TVs. The only thing that's a downside to this location is the parking. It's located in a plaza where parking is always an issue due to the small size of the parking lot. Hope other Planet Fitness Locations in EP take note and make the necessary modern additions that every Planet Fitness should have because this gym at this location certainly offers that and it's what makes them highly competitive. They are at the level of standard most Planet Fitness gyms are in other states. read more

It's not worth the drive or the gas to come to this gym. The equipment is always getting fixed. The " trainers " don't know anything and are of little help. I've worked out for 10 years + from high school and wanted to know of new innovations in workouts and they didn't know jack. I'll be looking for a new gym. read more

While I will say that the worker are polite, there are several problems with this location. 1. The equipment constantly seems to be broken. 2. The equipment and weights that are usable are very sparce compared to the cardio equipment that never seems to be in use. 3. The location is constantly crowded making planning or executing a decent workout very difficult. 4. The app doesn't accurately reflect number 3, it shows the location is relatively empty when it's packed. (This further makes #3 more aggravating) 5. The most that ever seems to happen is Planet Fitness won't fix any of the problem, they just apologize and never try to rectify the problem by fixing the equipment and the app. read more

This was my first time at this location, I usually go to the one in the northeast. The setup is completely different and took me a little bit to get into my routine but that was a piece of cake once you see their flow of machines. I like to do the stair master and I enjoyed the area in which they have them. There were also an abundance of Smith (squat) machines compared to the northeast which I really liked. 10/10 recommend if you're in the area. read more

It's a regular planet fitness but seems a bit smaller than the others. The women's locker room also has a bit of a problem in that the fold out seat right outside the shower to put your dry things on obstructs the shower door if you fold it down which is a Very Poor design. All The machines work fine and I've never seen it too busy which means there is usually the machine you want available for use. read more

This place is badass, I'm giving it 5 stars because it deserves it however I have one complaint that has nothing to do with how this gym is managed. People here like to destroy the restroom, you have a staff member clean it and it doesn't even last 5 minutes. I don't understand why almost everyone at this gym likes to go to the restroom, splash water on their face, get it all over the mirrors, get it all over the counter, all over the floor, AND THEN GRAB PAPER TOWELS TO DRY OFF AND TOSS THEM ON THE FLOOR. I belong to another gym as well, LA Fitness. They do not have any locations in EP and since I frequently come here for work, I knew I needed somewhere to work out. I am what you would call a gym rat. I try to work out every day. I lift heavy when I can and have run several half marathons. I enjoy eating and drinking and must work out regularly to not weigh a ton. The hotel Gym was just not enough for me. I had a stigma about Planet Fitness cuz I had heard about the pizza, bagels and donuts that are given out. There are even tootsie rolls on the front desk. But ya gotta move on past that. It is just regular people trying to be a little healthier, trying to compete against Father Time. I met a few nice folks this past week while in town. They are overall a great gym. Yeah they don't have the heavier weights I am used to, the dumbbells only go up to 75#. But they don't cater to the body builders or power lifters. That's not their niche. They know it and they do a great job of meeting the needs of the average joe. Gym was very clean, no trash on the floors. Constantly saw people wiping down the equipment. There are paper towels and spray bottles in many locations for easy access. The dumbbells are neatly arranged and logical in their order. Plenty of benches as well. The price is great as well. I had preconceived notions about PF, that is wasn't a "real" gym. I was so wrong. It is a great place for the average joe to workout and get healthier. read more

Employees at the Resler St. El Paso,Texas, location don't monitor, at any time, members refusing to compy with change lighting in the 30 minute workout area. Usually 4 out of 5 members using the 30 minute area refuse to move per gyms instructions that "failure to comply may cancel your membership". This creates preventable tension between members. Many of the TVs don't work, many are allowed to sit on machines while scrolling through their cellphones. Broken machines take a long time to be fixed. I have been to this location about 4 times. Its the only PF location I have been to so far. I like it a lot so far. I love the refrigerated air conditioning and how clean it is. I love that a lot of people are considerate enough to wipe down the machines after their workout. Every time that I have gone, the machines that I use have always been available. People mind their own business and don't care how big or small u are. Most people are on their earbuds anyway. If I have a compliant, it would be that they don't have a weight scale. I'm a big woman trying to shed some pounds and have no idea how much I have lost since I started working out because they don't have a weighing scale, bummer. This gym is full all day, no matter the time. My advice to personal trainers is to find a different area other than the circuit area to train, especially if you're not using the circuit machines. The circuit area is small... today a couple hogged the space in the corner in front of the machines. Several customers were trying to use arm machines and the couple pretty much ignored them and continued their workout. Be courteous and be advised of the 30 minute exercise circuit. read more

I haven't been to the other locations but this one in particular is pretty good. It has a lot of people throughout the day, but you can avoid it by going in the morning or after 8pm on weekdays. The place is always kept clean by the staff especially the cleaning guy Carlos. There's no issue in using the cardio machines since there's plenty. And the weight machines too. The lunk alarm works here so be careful or you'll look dumb if you set it off lol! read more

I've never had an issue with other PF locations. The one time I go to this location.. And use their tanning bed.. I leave with burn marks .. I always tan for 10mins with no issues. When I do it at this location I end up going to Walmart to buy cream for my burns .. I complain to the manager and he says it's my fault.. I should've tanned for less time. What he failed to mention was that they put new bulbs in the bed. And typically other locations put a sign up saying that, so members can adjust their tan time to prevent the issue. But instead he blames me for what happened. Worst location for Planet Fitness by far! read more

Water fountains don't work and dispenses very hot water. Asked the front desk and said they couldn't do anything about it. Should at least be offering bottled water. Machines aren't maintained and many don't work properly. There's a lot of paper towels on the floor and people don't know how to re rack their weights, and there isn't a proper stretching/mat section. read more

This other girl was helping me and then he came and "helped" but i was supposed to add my card to this tablet but the girl never told me so i told him "she never told me, am i supposed to? TVs do not have sound unless you want to watch the kardashines, foxnews or telenovelas. Plus personnel have a poker face not understanding what might be wrong with the tv sound. Guest are always on their cell phones, especially the Spanish speaker. Give me a break I do not want to hear your conversation. On the 30 min cycle guest sit on the machines while resting. Others want to use it. I am very disappointed because I see this facility going down. read more

This gym has the worst hours ever. The paper towels are always empty and when I notify the staff, they never refill them. People are constantly on their phones while sitting at the machines. One particular staff member spends at least an hour chatting with the same girls instead of doing his job. I am considering switching gyms. read more

This gym sucks so much. They overcharge like crazy. I've had a membership with them for two months and they have already charged me around $140. Fuck this gym. Any other gym is worth it. You pay a shit load of money just to go to a gym that closes at 7 on the weekend and doesn't let you bring someone with you. This gym closes really early. I have a black membership and go to the one on the west on Mesa, and the one near Sean Haggerty, too. I think this one is my least favorite of the 3. It has a ton of cardio machines. It has a really small amount of free weights. Everything else is pretty decent. Parking is sometimes a problem. It can sometimes get really packed in the gym, but I still am able to get my workout done relatively hassle free. The staff is pretty friendly. The black card lounge is a pretty nice area. Locker room is good size. read more
